高考设题越来越注重情境干扰，注重特定语言环境中上下文的联系，题干的语义环境起非常重要的作用。一般占1分。

  1. The earth is forty-nine times larger than the moon.

    地球是月球的49倍大。

  2. It’s getting brighter and brighter.

    变得越来越明亮了。

考点二  比较级的常用结构

1. A+比较级+than+ B  A超过B

2. A+ less+比较级+than B  A不如B

3. 比较级的修饰语。这些修饰语通常为副词或短语，置于比较级前面，说明比较级的程度。  

这些词有：a little, little, a bit, bit, a lot, a great deal, much, far, rather, slightly, by far, even, still, nearly, almost, any等。

【例句】

Our classroom is brighter than yours.

我们的教室比你们的（教室）更明亮。

    Jenny is less clever than her sister.

珍妮没有她妹妹聪明。

    Mike is a little taller than John.

    迈克比约翰高点。

    An elephant is much stronger than a horse.

    大象比马强壮得多。

    He doesn’t live here any longer.

    他不再住在这里了。

The question became even worse.

    问题变得更糟了。
