John Adams (1735-1826)
The Massachusetts-born, Harvard-educated Adams began his career as a lawyer. Then he became a critic of Great Britain’s authority in America and was a leader of the American Revolution later. From 1789 to 1797, Adams was America’s first vice president. He was elected in the Presidential election of 1796 and served a single four-year term as the second U.S. president from 1797 to 1801.
Andrew Jackson (1767-1845)
Born in poverty, Andrew Jackson had become a wealthy Tennessee lawyer and rising young politician by 1812, when war broke out between the United States and Britain. His leadership in that conflict earned Jackson national fame as a military hero, and he would become America’s most influential political figure during the 1820s and 1830s. Andrew Jackson became the nation’s seventh president (1829-1837).
John Quincy Adams (1767—1848)
John Qu
