The teacher looks wise and steady, acting 24 a guide for young learners.
Before the desk kneels a young student in simple clothes, whose face shows a mix of nervousness and respect. These gifts include celery (芹菜) for hard work, lotus seeds (莲子) for a pure mind, red beans for honesty, dates (枣子) for early achievements, dried longan (龙眼) for wisdom, and dried meat as a symbol of health and long life.
