HELP CLEAN UP WESTON BEACH!
Sunday 12 July, 9:30 am — 12:30 pm Meeting point: the car park by the old lighthouse
Last July, 300 volunteers collected 180 bags of rubbish from our beach in just three hours. This year, with your help, we hope to do even better. Gloves, rubbish bags and litter pickers will be provided — all you need to bring are sturdy shoes and a refillable water bottle.
After the clean-up, every volunteer is invited to a free hot lunch at the community centre, where you can meet the local wildlife team and learn what happens to the plastic we collect.
Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult. School groups are welcome, and student volunteers will receive a service certificate signed by the town council.
