考点 01 be from与be in：来自与所在
I'm from Sydney. 我来自悉尼。
Sydney is in Australia. 悉尼在澳大利亚。
▸ be from表示"来自"，说明人或事物从哪里来；be in表示"在"，说明人或事物现在所在的地方。be动词随主语变化：I am / he, she, it is / we, you, they are。
解析：介绍自己的来历用I'm from...；说某个地方在哪里，用地名+is in+大地点。from后面接来源地，in后面接所在地，两者不能混用。
一、be from：来自
主语+am/is/are from+地名：The gondola is from Venice, Italy.（贡多拉来自意大利威尼斯。）
例句：I'm from Beijing. 我来自北京。
二、be in：在（某地）
主语+is/are in+地点：Mount Huashan is in China.（华山在中国。）
例句：The Blue Mountains are near Sydney. 蓝山在悉尼附近。
三、问答：Where are you from?
问来历用Where are you from?回答用I'm from...：— Where are you from? — I'm from Canada.（你来自哪里？我来自加拿大。）
