【2题详解】
句意:奶奶说她上学的时候,和另一位同学共用一张长长的木桌。
“share a long wooden desk...another classmate”提示“和某人分享某物”,应用介词with,构成固定搭配share sth with sb。to“朝向”和for“为了”均无法表达“与某人共用”的含义,不符。

Anne Carson, a Canadian writer, has won the 2026 Nobel Prize in Literature. She receives the prize for her creative works. In her writing, she talks with ancient classical traditions in a light and lively way and builds new forms for modern literature.
During her whole career, Anne Carson keeps three jobs at the same time: writing poems, translating old texts and teaching in different universities. Most of her works sit at the crossing of two worlds. One is the deep love for words from language experts. The other is the poets’ wish to find fresh meanings. She says word origins are the starting point of all her writing.
Steve Sem-Sandberg is a member of the Nobel Committee (委员会) at the Swedish Academy. In an interview, he shared his ideas about Carson. He said she connects our modern beliefs and lifestyles with ancient times. Her works always lead readers back to ancient times.

A Friend at Lowood
Jane Eyre was a poor orphan (孤儿). At ten, she was sent to Lowood Institution, a charity school for girls. There she met Helen Burns.
Scene One
Life at Lowood was hard: thin clothes, icy water, little food. And the teachers were mostly strict. Helen was a tall, pale girl with long soft wavy hair falling over her thin shoulders. When Miss Scatcherd, a strict teacher, punished Helen with a bunch of twigs (树枝), Helen accepted it calmly, without tears or anger. Jane watched from her seat, shocked and puzzled. That evening Helen told Jane, “Life is too short to spend in anger.”
Scene Two
Not long after, Mr. Brocklehurst, the school’s treasurer (司库), came. Before all the girls he called Jane a liar (说谎的人) and made her stand on a very high stool for half an hour, and no one was to speak to her. Jane felt deeply ashamed (羞愧的), her eyes full of tears. Then Helen passed by on her way back to her seat. Helen looked up and gave Jane such a soft, kind smile that Jane felt her courage come back at once.
Scene Three
After the punishment, Jane sat on the floor in a corner, too sad to speak. Helen came quietly to her side. She brought Jane coffee and bread and spoke to her in a gentle voice, “If all the world hates you, yet your own conscience (良心) agrees with you, you will never be without friends.” Jane was too sad to eat or drink, but Helen’s words comforted her.
Scene Four
That spring, Helen was sick with consumption (肺痨). One night, Jane crept (悄悄走) softly to Miss Temple’s room in the dark. She lay down beside Helen on the narrow bed, and held her friend tightly in her arms. “I am going home — to my long home,” Helen whispered. The next morning, Helen was dead. Jane was heartbroken, but she never forgot Helen’s courage, gentleness, and forgiveness.
(Adapted from Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë)

① For centuries, the inland areas of southwest China had a hard transport problem: rich natural resources and goods were far away from the sea, and roads to world markets were long and expensive. On September 16, 2026, the Pinglu Canal (运河) opened to ships. It creates a direct waterway from rivers to the sea.
② Located in Guangxi, the 134.2-kilometre canal cost 72.7 billion yuan to build and can carry ships of 5,000 tons. By linking the Xijiang River transport network with Qinzhou Port on the coast, it makes the old shipping path through Guangzhou Port more than 560 kilometres shorter. It is expected to save about 5.2 billion yuan a year and will greatly help the trade of goods such as minerals, coal and building materials.
③ Unlike projects built only for money, the Pinglu Canal pays attention to both construction and environmental protection. Workers moved more than 9,570 grown mangrove (红树林) trees and planted 275,000 young ones. They also built special paths for fish and a 240-metre bridge for wild animals, bringing back broken travel routes. Over 98 percent of the dug-out earth is reused.
④ The canal also changes local trade. As a key part of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, it helps trade grow between China and ASEAN (东盟). Chinese products reach Southeast Asian markets faster, and ASEAN resources enter southwest China more easily. Experts believe it may one day carry about 150 million tons of goods a year.
⑤ Like the Panama and Suez Canals, the Pinglu Canal has its own special value for this area. But it serves river-and-sea transport inside one single area. Whether it can fully support the growing foreign trade of southwest China will depend on better joint work with existing ports, railways and transport networks.
32. What can we know about the Pinglu Canal from Paragraph 2?
A. It is built mainly to improve the local ecological environment.
B. It helps cut the shipping distance by more than 560 kilometres.
C. Most of its total money is spent buying large ships.
D. It directly links local products with Southeast Asian markets.
33. Why did the workers build special paths for fish and a 240-metre bridge for wild animals?
A. To make the canal more attractive to visitors.
B. To cut down the cost of the whole project.
C. To reduce the project’s influence on animals’ travel routes.
D. To make the canal fit for 5,000-ton ships.
34. Which sentence uses “value” with the same meaning as the underlined word in Paragraph 5?
value /'vælju:/ n./v. ①价值,重要性 ②价格,价钱 ③ (pl.)价值观 ④重视,珍视
A. The value of the old painting is over 1 million yuan.
B. Your advice is of great value to us.
C. Being honest is one of the most important values.
D. We should value the friendship between us.
35. Which of the following best shows the structure of the passage? (①=Paragraph 1, ②=Paragraph 2, ③=Paragraph 3, ④=Paragraph 4, ⑤=Paragraph5)
A. ①/②③④/⑤ B. ①/②③/④⑤ C. ①②/③④/⑤ D. ①/②/③④⑤

Learning From Mistakes
In a classroom in Beijing, students were doing an unusual exercise. The teacher wrote a wrong answer on the blackboard on purpose. Instead of correcting it immediately, she asked the students, “Is there anything wrong with this? Please discuss with your group.”
The students started discussing actively. Some pointed out the mistake right away. Others argued about why the mistake happened. A few even shared similar mistakes they had made before. After 10 minutes of discussion, the teacher asked each group to share their ideas. Then she wrote the correct answer and explained why the mistake was made.
“This is my favorite way to teach,” said Ms. Zhang, the English teacher. “When students find mistakes themselves, they remember the correct answer much better. It also helps them develop critical (批判性的) thinking skills.”
Many students agreed. “I used to be afraid of making mistakes,” said Li Wei, a 15-year-old student. “But now I know mistakes are actually learning opportunities. When I make a mistake, I ask myself: Why did I make it? What can I learn from it?”
Research supports this method. Studies show that students learn more when they are allowed to make mistakes and correct them. Mistakes activate (激活) the brain and make learning more effective.
However, this doesn’t mean mistakes are always good. If you keep making the same mistake without learning from it, that’s a problem. The key is to reflect on (反思) mistakes and turn them into learning experiences.
41. Did the teacher correct the wrong answer immediately in the classroom?

Grade Nine is a big challenge for most students. With senior high school entrance exams ahead, students face heavier learning tasks and tighter schedules. Many of them spend long hours studying every day and easily suffer from tiredness. If they don’t have proper adjustment (调节), they will be stressed out.
To help Grade Nine students enjoy a better school life, experts give useful suggestions.

Yu Sumei, a senior expert from the Chinese Academy of Educational Sciences, points out, “Regular sports not only improve teenagers’ physical health but also build up their mental health against study pressure.” Many students ignore (忽略) daily sports because of busy study.

First, keep regular physical exercise. Yu Sumei, a senior expert from the Chinese Academy of Educational Sciences, points out, “Regular sports not only improve teenagers’ physical health but also build up their mental health against study pressure.” Many students ignore (忽略) daily sports because of busy study. In fact, proper sports like running and jumping can strengthen the body and reduce study pressure greatly.
Second, manage time in a wise way. For example, students can divide big tasks into smaller parts and finish them one by one in a short period of time. Making proper plans also helps students finish tasks efficiently and avoid unnecessary anxiety (焦虑). Therefore, they will learn faster and better.
Third, stay away from negative feelings. It is normal to meet difficulties in study. If students lose heart easily, they can achieve nothing. It’s important that students should stay away from negative feelings by listening to music or watching a funny film.
Grade Nine is a big challenge for students. Heavy schoolwork and tight schedules make them tired. Without proper adjustment, they will have ____54____. Here is some advice.
