The 11 digits can be divided into three parts. ____27____ The first three numbers tell you which mobile phone service provider you are using. Have you ever heard of the Fibonacci sequence (数列)? Let’s take an example: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, … Each number is the sum (和) of the two before it. As we can see: 1+1=2, 1+2=3, 2+3=5, 3+5=8… and so on! Besides, two numbers next to each other have a ratio (比率) about 1.618 (like 8+5=1.6), which is called the Golden Ratio.
According to historical records, Leonardo Fibonacci first wrote about the Fibonacci sequence in his book Liber Abaci in 1202. The Fibonacci sequence widely appears in our real world. Here are some examples of it in nature and arts.
Many flowers have petals (花瓣) in the Fibonacci numbers. For example, the lily-usually has 3 petals. The rose has 5 and the delphinium has 8. The numbers 3, 5 and 8 are part of the Fibonacci numbers. When bees build their houses, they also follow the sequence. The number of bee cells (蜂房) in each row often matches the Fibonacci numbers like 1, 2, 3, 5, 8 …
______ We know painters like to use special shapes in their paintings. With the Fibonacci sequence in artworks, artists can create perfect designs. For example, the famous work the Mona Lisa follows the Golden Ratio. For musicians, they use the Fibonacci sequence to create certain musical effects. It is said the Fibonacci sequence can help control the number of beats in each part. Next time, count the beats in your favourite song—is it 5, 8 or 13 beats? It’s math that makes music sound great!
The Fibonacci sequence is really useful in our life and it also helps us to find the secrets around us.
31. Which one is the Fibonacci sequence according to the text?
A. B. C. D.
32. How does the writer show the Fibonacci sequence in nature?
A. By giving examples. B. By comparing facts.
C. By asking questions. D. By showing opinions.
33. Which of the following can be put into ______ in Paragraph 4?

B. The Fibonacci sequence makes it easy to learn math.
C. Musicians create music with the Fibonacci sequence.
D. Artworks make the Fibonacci sequence more famous.
34. What does the text mainly talk about?

You know perfectly well what you ought to be doing for each site you visit: you should be choosing a different, complex sequence of letters, numbers and symbols, and then memorizing it. (That’s the first rule of the common knowledge on passwords: never, ever write them down.) But you don’t do this, because it’s hard for you to remember so many numbers.
So instead, you use the same familiar words for every site — your dog’s name, the name of your street — by adding “123” at the end. Or maybe you do try to follow the rules, and if you’re probably getting locked out of your bank account, you begin trying to remember the answers to various security questions. (“What was your favourite sport as a child?”)
Password hacking takes many different forms. This is where the length of your password makes an almost unbelievable difference. For a hacker with the computing power to make 1,000 guesses per second, a five-letter, purely random, all-lowercase password, such as “fpqzy”, would take three hours and three quarters to crack. Increase the number of letters to 20, and the cracking time increases to 6.5 thousand trillion centuries.
If you think you’ve got a clever system for coming up with passwords, the chances are that hackers are already familiar with it. The least hackable password, then, would be a long string of completely random letters, numbers, spaces and symbols but you’d never remember it.
35. According to the writer, what’s the reason for most people to write down their password?
Because it’s hard for them to ____________________.
36. What else do people have to remember if they get locked out of their bank account?
People have to remember __________________________.
37. How long does it usually take a hacker to crack a password, such as “fpqzy”?
It usually takes them ____________________ to crack.
38. What does a safer and more secure password possibly consist of?
It possibly consists of ________________________________.

The population of tigers in India has doubled over 12 years, according to a government report. The big cats’ numbers rose from 1,706 tigers in 2010 to 3,682 in 2022. This means that about 75% of the world’s tigers now live in the country.
In India, tigers have disappeared from some areas as humans have cut down forests and other natural lands in order to build cities, homes, and farms. Today, tigers in India share 45% of their habitat (栖息地) with about 60 million people. This has brought the animals closer to human areas in search of food, which has led to fights between the people and the big cats.
Since 1973, the Indian government has been working to save the animals through a program called Project Tiger. It has created strong laws and increased the number of tiger protected areas from nine to more than 50 all over the country.
Conservation organizations (保护组织) have also been working to protect habitats, support tiger populations, and help people live peacefully alongside tigers. This includes educating people about the animals and providing money for farmers whose animals are killed by the big cats.
Researchers said the results showed that conservation can do good to both animals and people and that the two can live successfully even when they live close together. “What the research shows is that it's not the human population, but the attitude (态度) of people, that matters more,” said Yadvendradev V. Jhala, the study’s lead author.
59. What’s the number of tigers living in the world now?
A. 1,706. B. About 2000. C. 3,682. D. About 4900.
60. What do conservation organizations do to protect tigers?
A. Make laws. B. Build farmhouses. C. Educate people. D. Increase protected areas.
61. What is the best title for the text?
A. Tigers are growing fast in India B. Wildlife protection projects in India
C. Tigers are disappearing in the world D. Wildlife protection organizations in the world

The population of the world continues to increase, but in some areas the population is falling. This is true in Europe and especially in Eastern Europe. In Russia, the population is going down by about 100 people every hour! In Poland the population is also falling because people are leaving to work in other countries.
One of the main reasons is a change of lifestyle. All over Europe people, especially educated women, have a different attitude to children from their parents. “I have one child and she is enough for me,” said Galina, a doctor from Moscow. Many women decide to have children later in life or not to have children at all. “I don’t want to have any children until I have worked for at least 10 years,” said 19-year-old student Hana from Prague. Her opinion is typical of 18-24-year-old women everywhere in Europe.
In Poland, the population is going down for a different reason. A lot of people, usually aged between 20 and 30, are leaving the country to work abroad. Poland joined the European Union in 2004 and since then more than half a million people have moved to Britain, Germany, Spain and Italy.
Many governments are now encouraging people to have larger families. In France women now receive nearly $1,000 a month for a year if they have a third child.
62. How many children does Galina want to have?
Galina wants to have ________.
63. When does Hana want to have children?
Hana wants to have children after she has worked for ______________.
64. Why is the population in Poland going down?
Because many young people are ____________________.
65. How does the French government encourage people to have larger families now?
By ________________________________ if they have a third child.
66. What’s the main idea of this passage?
The main idea of the passage is about __________________________________________.
