1. 词汇跟读：跟读并记忆下列单词（注意划线部分的读音）。

3. 语言小贴士（考点归纳）。

① 含情态动词的被动语态：情态动词 + be + 及物动词的过去分词，如 they should really be cross-checked（它们确实应当被多方核实）、the websites can be trusted（这些网站可以被信任）、the same facts can be found in other serious sources（同样的事实能在其他严肃来源中找到）。

② cross-check 意为“交叉比对；多方核实”，cross- 为前缀，表示“交叉”：cross-check the information。

③ source 意为“来源；消息来源”（名词），常见搭配 the sources of information；注意与 resource（资源）辨析。

④ organisation 意为“组织；机构”，英式拼写 organisation，美式拼写 organization；international organisations 国际组织。

⑤ check if / whether ... 意为“检查是否 ……”，if / whether 引导宾语从句；check the sources of information 核查信息来源。

⑥ make sure (that) ... / make sure to do sth. 意为“确保 ……／务必做某事”，后接从句或不定式。

⑦ list 作动词意为“列出；列举”：list all the sources at the end（在末尾列出所有信息来源）。

⑧ 表示步骤的过渡词：First ... And second ... Finally ...，用于分步说明，使表达条理清楚。

⑨ be sure about sth. 意为“对 …… 有把握”：I’m not sure about some facts I collected。

⑩ come along 意为“进展；进行”：How’s your report on climate change coming along?（你的气候变化报告进展如何？）
