It also shares moon phases (月相) and both the sun and moon rise and set times.PhotoPills
If you want to capture stunning dark sky images with a real camera, PhotoPills is a good choice. The app is particularly helpful in planning ahead for your photos, according to the sun, the moon, and Milky Way positions. It gives you the field of view, your exposure times, the phases of the moon, where the sun is and what it’s doing.SpaceWeatherLive
This app offers a clear, digestible summary at a glance while allowing you to dig into the details if you want and helps educate you about the details. (本题10分)Science is a process that builds upon existing theories and knowledge by continuously revising them. Every aspect of scientific knowledge can be questioned, including the general rules of thinking that appear to be most certain. So why is science trustworthy if it is always changing? If tomorrow we will no longer see the world as Newton or Einstein found it to be, why should we take seriously today’s scientific description of the world?
The answer is simple: Because at any given moment of our history, this description of the world is the best we have. The fact that it can be made better can’t diminish (降低) the fact that it is a useful instrument for understanding the world.
Consider a folk healer’s herbal medicine. Can we say this treatment is “scientific”? Yes, if it is proven to be effective, even if we have no idea why it works. In fact, quite a few common medications used today have their origin in folk treatments, and we are still not sure how they work. This does not imply that folk treatments are generally effective. To the contrary, many of them are not. What distinguishes scientific medicine is the readiness to seriously test a treatment and to be ready to change our minds if something is shown not to work. A research doctor in a modern hospital must be ready to change his theory if a more effective way of understanding illness, or treating it, becomes available.
What makes modern science uniquely powerful is its refusal to believe that it already possesses (掌握) ultimate truth. The reliability of science is based not on certainty but on a complete absence of certainty. That is to say: the ideas about science that we now have the strongest support for have no protection to rely on, and they are only an open invitation to the whole world to prove them unfounded.
Why does the author raise the two questions in paragraph 1?
A.To add some fun. B.To express doubts.
C.To introduce the topic. D.To provide background.
What can we learn about today’s scientific description of the world?
A.It can be timeless. B.It can be improved.
C.It is of little value. D.It is the best at any moment.
What is the author’s attitude toward folk treatment?
A.Positive. B.Objective. C.Negative. D.Indifferent.
What is the main idea of paragraph 4?
A.It is unwise to believe in science.
B.Too much uncertainty lies in science.
C.The foundation of science is unfounded.
D.The lack of certainty makes science credible.
(本题10分)Despite advances in digital technology, no virtual platform has yet solved the problem of physical presence. While virtual tours have gained popularity, many users acknowledge that viewing an object through a screen fundamentally changes their perception. Features such as texture, weight, and scale are inevitably affected by a flat image. This sensory gap suggests that digital representations, however advanced, remain imperfect substitutes for direct engagement.
Beyond these sensory limitations, technological and economic barriers further complicate the ideal of universal access. A virtual museum that relies on virtual reality headsets, high-speed network, or recently released devices may unknowingly exclude individuals with older hardware or unstable connections. Moreover, digital preservation introduces challenges different from those associated with physical collections. Websites become outdated, software platforms are discontinued, and file formats fall out of use. Whereas a physical museum demands structural maintenance, a virtual one requires continuous migration of data and updating of systems — a commitment often underestimated.
Trust also poses a significant concern. In a virtual environment — particularly one operated by individuals or small organizations — viewers may find it difficult to determine whether an image faithfully represents the original or merely offers a loosely sourced picture accompanied by incomplete documentation. Clear origin notes and transparent labeling can mitigate such concerns, yet skepticism remains a reasonable response.
Interestingly, the museum term “deaccessioning” (藏品注销) also fits private collectors who want to sell or give away their collections. Virtual museums and digital catalogs are very helpful for them. When collectors make clear digital records, they sort out key details: where they got the items, sizes, condition and related materials. These records are greatly useful for their family inheritors who know little about the collection. They also help museums decide whether to accept the donated items. Even if the collection is later divided up, the digital record keeps its original order and value, so its hidden meaning and logical connection will not disappear.
What does the author point out about virtual tours in paragraph 1?
A.They rely heavily on advanced equipment. B.They are preferred by most museum visitors.
C.They fail to convey certain physical qualities. D.They improve the resolution of digital images.
Which of the following is closest in meaning to the underlined word “mitigate”?
A.Reduce. B.Ignore. C.Identify. D.Create.
What can be inferred from the last paragraph about private collectors?
A.They prefer to keep their collections complete.
B.They underestimate the value of documentation.
C.They can benefit a lot from creating digital records.
D.They often rely on digital lists to sell their collections.
Which statement best summarizes the main idea of the text?
A.Digital technology has transformed museum experiences.
B.Virtual museums face limitations in accessibility and authenticity.
C.Private collectors benefit more from digitization than museums do.
D.Physical museums are superior to virtual alternatives in every aspect.
(本题10分)Almost none of us have the time to read everything we’d like to read. Yet we lose countless hours to daily activities that bring us little joy like taking buses and waiting in line. What if we could turn these little blocks of unoccupied time into precious and rewarding moments for learning and reflection?
Founded in 2022,iReader, a micro-learning app on mobile phones, brings the biggest ideas from best-selling books through 15-minute audio (音频) and text. So far, more than 3,000 books have been included, ranging from psychology and parenting to management and economics, with new titles added every day.
iReader is pioneering a new method of reading, with over 9 million users enjoying the benefits already. According to the Pew Research Center (PRC), the British read just 4 paper books a year and over 25% haven’t read a single paper book this year, but reading isn’t dying. There are now more ways for the British to read than ever before, due to the widespread use of e-books and audio books.
The books in iReader are rewritten to ensure it is easy to remember the main content. The way the content is edited has been specifically designed to ensure it is useful in practice. Besides, the content is rewritten with relevant examples in real life, which means users are more likely to remember and apply what is helpful to them.
Holger Seim, German co-founder of this app, declares,“iReader gives you the biggest ideas in the shortest possible time. It transforms great ideas into little, packs you can listen to or read in just 15 minutes.”
What does the author suggest people do in the unoccupied time?
A.Write and share. B.Read and think.

A.The British benefit a lot from reading.
B.Reading methods are more important than before.
C.Digital technology is taking the place of paper books.
D.New forms of books are changing the way the British read.
How does iReader make the content easy to remember?
A.By making it useful. B.By bringing fun to it.

Besides, it lets neighbors meet and connect over shared needs, turning strangers into people they know. 40(2.5分) All in all, the app brings environmental, money-saving, and social benefits to everyone involved, making sharing a convenient and rewarding choice.

A few months before I started high school, my parents gave me the best gift: a cellphone. I spent the whole summer with my face in the screen. I didn’t pay attention to my family or the things around me. Being online was more important than being with people.
So, you can guess how unhappy I was when I learned what my dad planned for our family vacation that year. “This year, ” my dad said, “we’re going to do something special. We’re going camping!” It was not my dream vacation because I was still thinking about my phone.
In fact, I was so busy looking at my phone that I didn’t look up until we drove across a bridge to the campsite. I looked out of the window and saw tall redwood trees. Their branches (树枝) seemed to touch the sky. I saw a river, with dark water showing between the white rapids (激流). The air from the open windows was hot. But none of that caught my eye. The reason I looked up was much more serious: my phone had no service
The last hour in the car was hard. My dad said he had chosen a campsite with no cell service, and my phone would be useless until we got home. I would be stuck in the forest for four days with no way to reach the outside world!
On the first day, I went through every teenage feeling: I was angry, I asked for help, and I kept going between sadness and anger. I went to bed angrily that night. But when I woke up in the morning, something had changed.
注意:1. 续写词数应为150个左右,可参考文中加粗词汇部分;
I stopped looking at my phone and started looking around me.

【答案】18.B 19.B 20.A
Artificial Intelligence, or AI, is one of the most popular technologies in the 21st century. It can be a computer that beats you in the chess game. It can be a robot that helps you with your housework. It can also be a program which can write songs. Aviva is such a program. Aviva is created by some computer programmers. They put thousands of songs by famous musicians in her. After taking a few seconds to learn those songs, Aviva finds her own way to write her own songs. If the programmers tell Aviva what they want about a song, she can make it in just a few minutes. Now, Aviva is the first world-famous AI songwriter. Plenty of her songs have been used in films, games and ads, although people hardly know that they have been made by a computer program. Now Aviva can only write classical music, so the programmers plan to give her more. In that case, she will be able to write all kinds of songs. Besides, there is no need to worry that AI will take the place of musicians. Instead, it will work together with them and make better songs.

根据第一段中“Science is a process that builds upon existing theories and knowledge by continuously revising them.(科学是一个建立在现有理论和知识基础上并不断修正它们的过程)”及“So why is science trustworthy if it is always changing? If tomorrow we will no longer see the world as Newton or Einstein found it to be, why should we take seriously today’s scientific description of the world?(那么,既然科学一直处于变化之中,为何它还值得人们信赖呢?倘若未来我们看待世界的方式,不再与牛顿或爱因斯坦的认知相同,我们又为何要重视当下的科学对世界的描述呢?)”结合第二段中“The answer is simple: Because at any given moment of our history, this description of the world is the best we have.(答案很简单:因为在历史的任何特定时刻,这个对世界的描述都是我们所拥有的最好的描述)”可知,作者在首段提出问题是为了引出“科学为什么可靠”这一话题。故选C。
根据第二段中“Because at any given moment of our history, this description of the world is the best we have. The fact that it can be made better can’t diminish the fact that it is a useful instrument for understanding the world.(因为在历史的任何特定时刻,这个对世界的描述都是我们所拥有的最好的描述。它可以被改进的事实,并不能削弱它是一个理解世界的有效工具这一事实)”可知,我们今天对世界的科学描述是当前最好的,并且是可以被改进的。故选B。
26.推理判断题。根据第三段中“In fact, quite a few common medications used today have their origin in folk treatments, and we are still not sure how they work. This does not imply that folk treatments are generally effective. To the contrary, many of them are not. What distinguishes scientific medicine is the readiness to seriously test a treatment and to be ready to change our minds if something is shown not to work.(事实上,如今使用的不少常见药物都起源于民间疗法,而我们至今仍不清楚它们的作用原理。
根据第四段中“What makes modern science uniquely powerful is its refusal to believe that it already possesses ultimate truth. The reliability of science is based not on certainty but on a complete absence of certainty.(现代科学之所以独特而强大,是因为它拒绝相信已经掌握了终极真理。科学的可靠性不是基于确定性,而是基于完全缺乏确定性)”可知,本段核心观点是:科学的可信性恰恰源于其不认为自己是绝对确定的,即缺乏确定性让科学具有可信度。故选D。
【答案】28.C 29.A 30.C 31.B
根据第一段“Features such as texture, weight, and scale are inevitably affected by a flat image.(纹理、重量和比例等特征不可避免地会受到平面图像的影响)”可知,虚拟导览无法传达某些物理特性。
根据划线词上文“In a virtual environment — particularly one operated by individuals or small organizations — viewers may find it difficult to determine whether an image faithfully represents the original or merely offers a loosely sourced picture accompanied by incomplete documentation.(在虚拟环境中——尤其是由个人或小型组织运营的场合中,观众可能难以判断一张图片是否真实反映了原始内容,还是仅仅提供了一张来源模糊、资料不完整的图像)”以及后文“such concerns”可知,清晰标注能减轻人们的疑虑,故划线词意思是“减轻、缓解”。
根据最后一段“Interestingly, the museum term “deaccessioning” (藏品注销) also fits private collectors who want to sell or give away their collections. Virtual museums and digital catalogs are very helpful for them. When collectors make clear digital records, they sort out key details: where they got the items, sizes, condition and related materials.(有趣的是,博物馆术语“藏品注销”也适用于希望出售或赠送收藏的私人收藏家。

56.opportunities 57.to 58.its 59.were limited 60.the 61.to recreate 62.cultural 63.which 64.combination 65.showing

One possible version:
Dear fellow students,
Nowadays, more and more teenagers are spending too much time online. Overusing it may result in poor eyesight, sleep loss, and declining academic performance. Worse still, it isolates us from friends and family, leading to loneliness and stress.
To prevent addiction, we can take the following steps. Set a clear time limit for daily online use — one hour at most. Replace screen time with sports, reading, or other hobbies. Also, turn off your phone or computer while doing homework and before bed. These small changes can make a big difference.
Let’s take action now. Say no to Internet addiction and embrace a healthy life!

注意:1. 续写词数应为150个左右,可参考文中加粗词汇部分;
I stopped looking at my phone and started looking around me.

The next days went by fast because we did many fun things.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
I stopped looking at my phone and started looking around me. I walked out of the tent and saw how beautiful the forest was. The trees stood tall and quiet. Birds sang in the morning light. I saw a small river running beside the campsite. The water was so clear that I could see the stones at the bottom. For the first time, I felt peace. My dad came over with a smile. “Want to go for a walk?” he asked. I nodded. We walked along the river and talked about many things. I didn’t think about my phone at all. It felt good to just be there with him.
The next days went by fast because we did many fun things. We went fishing and I caught my first fish. Dad taught me how to make a fire. We cooked together and ate under the stars. At night, we sat by the fire and told stories. I even made friends with other kids at the campsite. We played games and ran through the forest. I laughed more than I had in a long time. When it was time to go home, I felt sad to leave. On the way back, I looked at my phone but didn’t turn it on. I just looked out the window and smiled. I realized that being present is better than being online.
