高中英语单元测试 —— Unit 1 Cultural Heritage 学校:___________姓名:___________班级:___________考号:___________ 一、听力选择题 1.(本题1.5分)What does the man imply about “time” in different cultures? A.Socially constructed. B.Biologically determined. C.Universal constant. W: I read some cultures see time as cyclical, not like our linear “time is money” view. M: Exactly. Linear time is a Western modern construct. Indigenous cultures tie time to natural rhythms, not clocks. W: So our deadline urgency is learned, not innate? M: Precisely. It shapes our work and social habits. 2.(本题1.5分)What surprised the man in Japan? A.People bow instead of shaking hands. B.Trains are always crowded. C.Restaurants are very expensive. M: I just got back from Tokyo. One thing that really stood out was how often people bow. Even in business meetings! W: Yes, bowing is deeply rooted in Japanese culture. It shows respect. Did you find it difficult to adjust? M: A bit at first, but I quickly learned to bow slightly in return. It felt more formal than our handshakes. 3.(本题1.5分)What are the speakers talking about? A.What life is like in the UK. B.Their favorite dragons in films. C.The meanings of dragon in different cultures. W: Have you noticed anything different while visiting the UK? M: Yes, I’ve noticed that in your culture dragons are scary, while in China they are symbols of success and wealth. W: That’s true. Dragons are often associated with fear in western culture. 4.(本题1.5分) Who made the phone call? A.Hyman. B.The woman’s boss. C.The guest speaker. M: Was it your boss who phoned you just now? W: No, it was our friend Hyman. He said he had invited a guest speaker. M: That would be great. 5.(本题1.5分)What cultural difference regarding family meals is mentioned? A.How food is shared. B.The time dinner is served. C.Who prepares the food. W: When I stayed with a host family in China, dinner was a shared experience. All dishes were placed in the center, and everyone took what they wanted from the communal plates. M: That's interesting. In my family, we each have our own plate with portions decided by the cook. Reaching across the table might be considered rude. W: Exactly! It made me realize how even something as simple as a meal can reflect deeper cultural values — collectivism versus individualism. 6.(1.5分)What does the man suggest the woman do? A.Enjoy her personal time. B.Make a project plan in advance. C.Turn her phone off over the weekend. 7.(1.5分)What do we know about the woman? A.She will take a business trip to America. B.She is not used to German work culture. C.She has to go home to receive a call. W: I’ve been thinking about that new project Karl has given us. I thought maybe... M: Ah, Jenny. My brain is “out of office” now until Monday. W: Sorry, what? M: I know Americans like to “mix business with pleasure”. But here in Germany, work stays at work. Just relax now. W: Well, I'm just thinking ahead to next week. M: There’ll be plenty of time for that. It's important to switch off sometimes. Recharge your batteries! W: You’re right. Wow, this will take some getting used to. Back home, my boss would often call me on a weekend M: That wouldn’t fly here! 8.(1.5分)Which country are the speakers in? A.France. B.Britain. C.Vietnam. 9.(1.5分)What probably impresses the speakers a lot? A.Cultural differences. B.Friends from all over the world. C.The impact of the English language. 10.(1.5分)Where does the conversation most probably take place? A.In the woman’s house. B.On campus. C.In a restaurant. 【答案】8.C 9.A 10.B 【原文】M: When I talk to my friends back at home in France, they don’t realize that we study in English. W: That’s the same with me. I told my friends I had French, German, Chinese, and Thai friends. They asked how anyone understands one another. M: I know, right! They also think that we study mainly in Vietnamese, because that’s the native language of the country where we are living. W: True. And yet, hardly any of the students are from Vietnam. Anyway, I do love learning about local culture and customs. M: Me too. I also find it interesting when things are different. There are so many motorcycles here. W: Yes. The food here is amazing, too. I love eating the noodles. M: It is making my mouth water just thinking about them. W: Anyway, we’d better head to the science lab. I don’t want to be late. M: Don’t worry. We are almost there. The course isn’t offered at my school and I think it would be interesting. M: I see. Have you learned much about Chinese medicine? It’s an advanced course you know. W: Yes, I’m really interested in it. M: Well, I’ll do my best to help you. You can come to my office next week. I’ll be in all day next Wednesday. I can tell you more about the class. In any case you’ll have to see professor Chambers to get his approval. W: Thanks, I’ll come next Wednesday. 18.(1.5分)In which country is it proper to make a noise while drinking? A.Mexico. B.Japan. C.Britain. 19.(1.5分)What is considered rude in the Arab countries? A.Eating with your left hand. B.Lifting the bowl to your mouth. C.Making a noise while having meals. 20.(1.5分)What advice does the speaker give about different manners? A.Doing as you do at home. B.Following the native people. C.Visiting different countries. 【答案】18.B 19.A 20.B 【原文】Today, I’m going to tell you something about manners in different countries. I think you already know that people in different countries have different ways of doing things. Something that is rude in one country may well be quite polite in another. For example, in Britain you mustn’t lift your bowl to your mouth and you’d better not make a noise when you are having some liquid food. But in Japan, you needn’t worry about making a noise when you drink it, it shows that you are enjoying it. In Britain, you try not to put your hands on the table at all during a meal. In Mexico, however, guests are expected to keep their hands on the table throughout a meal. But it is in the Arab countries that you really must be careful with your hands. You see, in the Arab countries, you mustn’t eat with your left hand. This is considered to be very impolite. So what should you do if you visit another country? Well, you needn’t worry. You can ask the native people there to help you, or just watch carefully and try to do as they do, not as you do at home. 二、阅读理解 (本题7.5分)China’s Pristine Paradises: National Parks and Nature Reserves China boasts amazing biodiversity and breathtaking landscapes, with a network of protected areas safeguarding its natural heritage. Among these, four sites stand out for ecological significance and scenery, serving as wildlife reserves and symbols of China’s conservation commitment. ● Jiuzhaigou National Park, in Sichuan’s Minshan Mountains, is famous for crystal-clear alpine lakes and vibrant autumn foliage. Its sky-blued lakes, fed by glaciers and springs, reflect snow-capped peaks. A 1992 UNESCO World Heritage Site, it habitats giant pandas, supporting over 2,000 plant and 400 animal species. In 2017, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake damaged its landscapes, but careful restoration revived most of its original charm. ● Sanjiangyuan National Nature Reserve, on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, is called the “Water Tower of Asia”. As the source of the Yangtze, Yellow and Lancang (Mekong) rivers, it supplies water to nearly half of China’s population and millions in Southeast Asia. Spanning 318,000 square kilometers, it homes Tibetan antelopes. Climate change causes glacial retreat, leading to adaptive measures like grassland enclosures. ● Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park, on Hainan Island, is China’s only tropical rainforest protected area. Covering 4,400 square kilometers, it has over 5,000 plant species (15% native) and 340 bird species, including the critically endangered Hainan gibbon (长臂猿) (around 37 left). The rainforest resists typhoons, regulating the island’s climate. Recent years have seen community-involved conservation, with locals shifting from logging to eco-tourism for income and less ecosystem impact. ● Wuyi Mountain National Park, across Fujian and Jiangxi, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for both natural and cultural value. Its steep (崎岖的) Danxia landforms (red sandstone peaks) pair with thick forests housing Chinese giant salamanders (火蜥蜴). It also has ancient tea plantations and Han Dynasty archaeological sites. A visitor quota system limits daily entries to balance conservation and tourism. These four areas show China’s holistic (整体的) conservation approach — combining strict protection, sustainable development and public education. As China expands its national park system, they remain beacons of human-nature harmony. 21.(2.5分)Which of the following is a challenge that Jiuzhaigou National Park has overcome? A.A decline in the number of giant pandas. B.Overcrowding from excessive tourism. C.Severe damage caused by an earthquake. D.Pollution of its crystal-clear alpine lakes. 22.(2.5分)What makes Sanjiangyuan National Nature Reserve crucial to millions of people? A.Its unique grasslands and wetlands. B.Its function as the source of three major rivers. C.Its role as a habitat for the Tibetan antelope. D.Its strict measures against climate change. 23.(2.5分)What do the last two national parks have in common? A.Both are home to the world’s rarest primates B.Both have carried out visitor quota systems. C.Both are located on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. D.Both combine natural value with cultural significance. 根据Jiuzhaigou National Park部分的“In 2017, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake damaged its landscapes, but careful restoration revived most of its original charm. (2017年,一场7.0级地震破坏了它的景观,但通过精心修复,大部分原始风貌得以恢复。)”可知,九寨沟国家公园克服的挑战是地震造成的严重破坏。故选C项。 22.细节理解题。根据Sanjiangyuan National Nature Reserve部分的“As the source of the Yangtze, Yellow and Lancang (Mekong) rivers, it supplies water to nearly half of China’s population and millions in Southeast Asia. (作为长江、黄河和澜沧江(湄公河)的源头,它为近半数中国人口及东南亚数百万人提供水源。)”可知,三江源国家级自然保护区的关键意义在于它是三大河流的源头。故选B项。 23.细节理解题。根据Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park部分的“The rainforest resists typhoons, regulating the island’s climate. Recent years have seen community-involved conservation, with locals shifting from logging to eco-tourism for income and less ecosystem impact. (热带雨林抵御台风,调节着岛上的气候。近年来出现了社区参与的保护,当地人从伐木转向生态旅游,以获得收入,减少对生态系统的影响。)”可知,海南热带雨林国家公园的雨林调节气候,社区参与保护该公园,体现自然与人文结合;再根据Wuyi Mountain National Park部分的“a UNESCO World Heritage Site for both natural and cultural value (因其自然和文化价值被联合国教科文组织列为世界遗产)”和“It also has ancient tea plantations and Han Dynasty archaeological sites. (这里还有古老的茶园和汉代的考古遗址。)”可知,武夷山国家公园以自然与文化双重价值入选世界遗址,拥有古茶园和汉代遗址,两者的共同点是兼具自然价值与文化意义。故选D项。 (本题10分)Most teenagers kill time playing video games, or surfing TikTok. But it’s not so for William Gadoury, a 14-year-old from Quebec. William Gadoury has been crazy about the Mayans for most of his childhood, ever since his grandparents bought him books about the civilization. What started as a hobby at age 12 snowballed into serious research, and he theorized that the locations of Mayan cities might correspond (相一致) to stars in Mayan constellations (星座). Using ancient books, Gadoury analyzed 22 Mayan constellation maps and covered the positions onto HERE WeGo images of the Yucatan Peninsula, which to this day is home to large local populations and some best-preserved architecture from Mayan culture. He would track the constellations from HERE WeGo using special sheets, covering them onto the position of Mayan cities on a paper map. The teen was able to show that 117 Mayan cities matched up with the position of the stars, with the brightest stars representing bigger cities. But when Gadoury was working on the 23rd Mayan constellation, he found a conflict: three stars, but only two ancient cities on HERE WeGo. The third star pointed to a location on the Mexico-Belize border. However, the area was covered with thick jungle, leaving Gadoury stuck. Luckily, he asked Canadian Space Agency (CSA) for images from their RADARSAT-2 satellite. Indeed, there was a square, man-made-looking structure in the heavy forest. Gadoury then learned a fire had swept across the region, thinning out the grass cover. He found images from the agency, and eventually concluded that there was indeed a city there. Gadoury’s findings eventually took him into the jungle in 2022 to search on foot, along with scientist Francisco Estrada- Belli. The team discovered a farming village deep in the Mexican jungle, which showed the “backbone” of the Maya’s long-term success, which was down to their ability to work the land and support large cities. 24.(2.5分)What are Gadoury’s findings mainly about? A.The villages in the Mexican jungle. B.The images from CSA satellites. C.The origins of Mayan culture. D.The locations of Mayan cities. 25.(2.5分)How did Gadoury carry out his research according to Paragraph 2? A.By tracking the best-preserved building on maps. B.By analyzing 117 Mayan cities in ancient books. C.By checking star maps against satellite images. D.By updating HERE WeGo on the Internet. 26.(2.5分)What made it difficult for Gadoury to find the third city of the 23rd Mayan constellation? A.A thick forest. B.A forest fire. C.Fund shortage. D.Bad weather. 27.(2.5分)Which of the following best describes Gadoury? A.Cheerful. B.Intelligent. C.Ambitious. D.Sympathetic. 根据第一段“What started as a hobby at age 12 snowballed into serious research, and he theorized that the locations of Mayan cities might correspond (相一致) to stars in Mayan constellations (星座). (从12岁开始的一个爱好逐渐发展成严肃的研究,他提出了玛雅城市的位置可能与玛雅星座中的星星相对应的理论。)”可知,Gadoury通过研究推测,玛雅城市的位置可能与玛雅星座中的星星相对应。所以Gadoury的发现主要是关于玛雅城市的位置。故选D。 25.细节理解题。根据第二段“Using ancient books, Gadoury analyzed 22 Mayan constellation maps and covered the positions onto HERE WeGo images of the Yucatan Peninsula, which to this day is home to large local populations and some best-preserved architecture from Mayan culture. He would track the constellations from HERE WeGo using special sheets, covering them onto the position of Mayan cities on a paper map. The teen was able to show that 117 Mayan cities matched up with the position of the stars, with the brightest stars representing bigger cities. 根据第三段“But when Gadoury was working on the 23rd Mayan constellation, he found a conflict: three stars, but only two ancient cities on HERE WeGo. The third star pointed to a location on the Mexico-Belize border. However, the area was covered with thick jungle, leaving Gadoury stuck. (但当Gadoury在研究第23个玛雅星座时,他发现了一个矛盾:三颗星,但在HERE WeGo上只有两座古城。第三颗星星指向墨西哥和伯利兹边境的一个地方。然而,该地区被茂密的丛林覆盖,使Gadoury陷入困境。)”可知茂密的森林让Gadoury很难找到第23个玛雅星座中的第三个城市,故选A。 27.推理判断题。通读全文可知,尤其第一段“What started as a hobby at age 12 snowballed into serious research, and he theorized that the locations of Mayan cities might correspond (相一致) to stars in Mayan constellations (星座). (从12岁开始的一个爱好逐渐发展成严肃的研究,他提出了玛雅城市的位置可能与玛雅星座中的星星相对应的理论。)”可知本文主要介绍了14岁的男孩 Gadoury 专心研究玛雅文明,通过比对地图和玛雅星图最终发现了一个玛雅农庄的故事。由此推知, Gadoury是一个聪明的孩子。故选B。 (本题10分)Before war and time destroy more of our important cultural sites, we need to save them in 3D digital libraries. Across 163 different countries, 1,000 natural and cultural historic places make up our most precious human heritage, which UNESCO calls World Heritage Sites. We lose a little of that heritage every day. War, climate change and pollution have a bad effect, as do wind and rain. The $4 million a year that UNESCO spends on preservation is not nearly enough to take care of even the four dozen sites considered at approaching risk of being lost forever. Now there’s a better choice. New digital-conservation technologies let us hold on to them, at least virtually, through 3D scanning, modelling and digital storage. Such projects can be accomplished through cooperation between governments, universities, industry and non-profit organisations. To make a 3D model, a laser scanner bounces light off an object and records the results. To reproduce every corner and opening, the scanner collects overlapping images (重叠图像) from all possible angles. A computer then sews them together into one large surface image and draws lines from one point to another to create a wire-frame model High-resolution (高分辨率) digital cameras add colour and texture. When fully put together, the models can be viewed, printed or operated. These scans do more than preserve a memory in a database. With highly accurate measurements, archaeologists can find hidden passages or reveal ancient engineering tricks. School kids can explore places they might otherwise never see. And when a site is destroyed, the scans can even be used to reconstruct what was there. That has already happened for one World Heritage Site, the Kasubi Tombs in Uganda. Built of wood in 1882, they were destroyed by fire in 2010 and rebuilt in 2014, based in large part on 3D models made in 2009. More than 100 World Heritage Sites have been already preserved as 3D models, and conservationists are racing to record as many more as possible. 28.(2.5分)How does the author show the necessity for 3D digital libraries in the first two paragraphs? A.By listing the threats to our human heritage. B.By introducing some damaged historical sites. C.By quoting some experts’ views on heritage protection. D.By explaining UNESCO’s research on World Heritage Sites. 29.(2.5分)What can be inferred from Paragraph 3? A.The function of a laser scanner is to add colour and texture to the image. B.The reflection of light off an object is recorded in a computer. C.The process of making a 3D model is carried out with the help of a laser scanner. D.High-resolution digital cameras make the models viewable, printable, and operable. 30.(2.5分)What do we know about the Kasubi Tombs in Uganda? A.It is metal-framed. B.It is still in its original condition. C.It was once destroyed in an earthquake. D.It was reconstructed thanks to 3D models. 31.(2.5分)What does the author intend to say through this text? A.Never ignore the destructive power of war. B.Take action to reduce pollution in historic places. C.Take advantage of 3D technology to keep history. D.Invest more money to preserve World Heritage Sites. 根据第二段中“We lose a little of that heritage every day. War, climate change and pollution have a bad effect, as do wind and rain. The $4 million a year that UNESCO spends on preservation is not nearly enough to take care of even the four dozen sites considered at approaching risk of being lost forever.(我们每天都在失去部分这样的遗产。战争、气候变化、污染,以及风雨侵蚀,都对其造成了不良影响。联合国教科文组织每年用于遗产保护的400万美元经费,远远不足以保护哪怕只是那几十处被认为濒临永远消失风险的遗址。)”可知,作者在前两段通过列举对人类遗产的威胁来说明三维数字图书馆的必要性。故选A。 29. 根据第三段“To make a 3D model, a laser scanner bounces light off an object and records the results. To reproduce every corner and opening, the scanner collects overlapping images (重叠图像) from all possible angles.(制作三维模型时,激光扫描仪会向物体发射光线并记录反射结果。为了重现每个角落和开口,扫描仪会从所有可能的角度收集重叠图像。)”可知,从第三段可推断出制作三维模型的过程是借助激光扫描仪完成的。故选C。 30.细节理解题。根据最后一段中“That has already happened for one World Heritage Site, the Kasubi Tombs in Uganda. Built of wood in 1882, they were destroyed by fire in 2010 and rebuilt in 2014, based in large part on 3D models made in 2009. More than 100 World Heritage Sites have been already preserved as 3D models, and conservationists are racing to record as many more as possible.(这样的事情已经在一处世界遗产地——乌干达的卡苏比王陵上发生了。该陵墓于1882年用木材建造而成,却在2010年的一场大火中被毁,2014年得以重建,很大程度上是基于2009年制作的三维模型。目前,已有超过100处世界遗产地被保存为三维模型,保护主义者们正争分夺秒地记录尽可能多的其他遗产地。)”可知,多亏了3D模型,乌干达的卡苏比古墓才能得以重建。故选D。 31.推理判断题。根据第一段中“Before war and time destroy more of our important cultural sites, we need to save them in 3D digital libraries.(在战争和时间进一步破坏我们众多重要的文化遗址之前,我们需要将它们保存在三维数字图书馆中。)” (本题10分)When the morning sun throws light on the stone bricks of Durbar Square, my fingers gently touch the newly restored wooden doors, their surface warm and vivid — as if they had just awakened from a surgery. The carved patterns tell a story: the meeting of ancient Nepali woodcarving craftsmanship with the new restoration technology from China. The ninestory Basantapur Tower is not just a building; it’s Nepal’s cultural DNA.This mid-18th-century pagodastyle structure suffered extensive damage in the 2015 earthquake. Today, as I look up at the 30-meter-tall temple supported by several thousand carefully restored wooden components, I am witnessing a miracle crafted together by two civilizations. In Nepal’s search for funding and technology to repair this ancient structure after the earthquake, the answer came from across the Himalayas. In 2017, China’s National Cultural Heritage Administration sent a team more like a tech startup than traditional restorers. They brought laser scanners, hightech structural analysis software, and a philosophy: “Don’t just fix the surface — strengthen the bones.” The most revolutionary intervention went unseen: flexible steel cables (绳索) running through hollowedout (挖空的) wooden posts enabled the structure to swing safely during an earthquake. Here, in this UNESCO World Heritage Site, I saw currency of influence. The restoration cost pales compared to the value of knowledge transfer: Nepali restorers were trained in 3D modeling through workshops conducted in both Chinese and Nepali. More Chinese heritage workers are going abroad, bringing China’s advanced techniques to the world, while more international conservationists are coming to China to learn its preservation principles and methods. This dance between tradition and innovation is a powerful demonstration of the transformative power of cultural exchange. If such exchanges can cross the Himalayas, they can travel greater distances, enlightening us all. As the morning winds of the Himalayas carry the metallic whispers of temple bells, I recall a profound insight: “Civilizations become enriched through exchanges and thrive through mutual learning.” 32.(2.5分)What do we know about the Basantapur Tower? A.It is a palace of modern crafts. B.It is a symbol of Nepal’s culture. C.It provided shelter for local people. D.It stayed complete in the earthquake. 33.(2.5分)What is innovative about the restoration work? A.The reduction in the use of wooden posts. B.The worldwide support for cultural preservation. C.The training of Nepali restorers in 3D modeling. D.The internal strengthening with flexible steel cables. 34.(2.5分)What does paragraph 4 mainly talk about? A.Digitalization of heritage sites. B.China’s sharing of restoration knowledge. C.UNESCO guidelines of cultural relics. D.China’s techniques of heritage restoration. 35.(2.5分)What is a suitable title for the text? A.CrossBorder Cooperation Revives Heritage B.Nepal’s Struggle to Preserve Its Past C.Approaching Nepal Through Ancient Temples D.Looking into Traditional Craftsmanship 【答案】32.B 33.D 34.B 35.A 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。 根据第二段中“The ninestory Basantapur Tower is not just a building; it’s Nepal’s cultural DNA. (九层的巴桑塔普尔塔不仅是一座建筑,它是尼泊尔的文化DNA)”可知,巴桑塔布尔塔是尼泊尔文化的象征。故选B。 33.细节理解题。根据第三段中“The most revolutionary intervention went unseen: flexible steel cables running through hollowedout wooden posts enabled the structure to swing safely during an earthquake.(最具革命性的干预措施是看不见的:穿过挖空木柱的柔性钢索,使建筑在地震中能安全摆动。)” Nepali restorers were trained in 3D modeling through workshops ... More Chinese heritage workers are going abroad, bringing China’s advanced techniques to the world, while more international conservationists are coming to China to learn its preservation principles and methods. (尼泊尔修复师通过工作坊接受3D建模培训……更多中国文物工作者走向世界带去中国先进技术,同时更多国际保护专家来到中国学习保护原则与方法。)”可知,该段主要通过中尼合作的案例,揭示了中国文化遗产修复技术的重要性:中国遗产工作者走向世界,传播技术;国际文物保护专家前来中国学习修复理念与方法。故选B。 35.主旨大意题。根据“The carved patterns tell a story: the meeting of ancient Nepali woodcarving craftsmanship with the new restoration technology from China. So when I asked a local ice-cream seller for an ice-cream, and he said “ahorita,” which directly translates to “right now”, I took him at his word, believing that its arrival was 41 . I sat near his shop and waited. Half an hour passed and still no ice-cream arrived, so I asked again about it, “Ahorita,” he told me again. His face was a mix of 42 and maybe even embarrassment. His signature cry, “Behold, the golden light!” followed by a three-tap strike on the wooden stage, was the signal for heroes to arrive. The New Year’s Eve show was a promise he had never broken until now. Li Ming, a high school student who’s good with technology, deeply respected the craft. He often watched Grandpa Chen repairing the puppets’ silver-jointed arms and legs. The most important part was the Monkey King’s main joint — a detailed piece that balanced the magic stick. “Technology is cold,” Grandpa Chen often said. “It cannot feel the heartbeat of the art.” Disaster struck the night before the festival. A fierce wind shut the window, knocking the Monkey King to the floor. The key joint broke. Once broken, the delicate joint couldn’t be repaired. Carving a new one by hand would take days — far too late for the next day’s show. Grandpa Chen’s eyes were filled with despair. “Without this joint, the hero can’t move,” he whispered. “The stage must stay dark.” He went back into his room, leaving the pieces behind, as if it was meant to happen. Li Ming couldn’t let the tradition disappear. He carefully gathered the pieces, determined to prove that technology could serve the heart rather than replace it. Using his 3D printer and a tough 3D-printing material, he spent the night making a replacement. It wasn’t a perfect copy, but he hoped it was flexible enough to keep the puppet moving naturally. However, as he looked at the slightly see-through joint, he wondered if the old master would ever let a lifeless plastic piece touch his beloved hero. Paragraph 1: With the newly printed resin (合成树脂) joint in hand, Li Ming knocked on Grandpa Chen’s door hours before the performance. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Paragraph 2: The festival crowd gathered in silence, staring at the dark stage, until the familiar warm glow of the oil lamp shone. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】One possible version: Paragraph 1: With the newly printed resin joint in hand, Li Ming knocked on Grandpa Chen’s door hours before the performance. He hesitated for a moment, then told Grandpa Chen the whole story nervously and presented the printed joint. Grandpa Chen picked it up carefully and examined it closely, still doubting whether the man-made part could work well. He fitted the joint onto the Monkey King puppet tentatively. To his amazement, the puppet moved flexibly and naturally, with no difference from the original one. He looked at Li Ming with a mixture of surprise and relief. Paragraph 2: The festival crowd gathered in silence, staring at the dark stage, until the familiar warm glow of the oil lamp shone. Grandpa Chen gave his usual three taps and shouted his signature line. The lively shadow puppetry show began immediately, and the Monkey King performed wonderfully, earning bursts of applause. After the show, Grandpa Chen smiled at Li Ming warmly. He came to understand that technology was not a rival to traditional art, but a powerful way to protect and pass on precious folk culture. 词汇激活 行为类 ①展示:present/show ②检查:examine/check 情绪类 ①惊讶:amazement/surprise ②释然:relief/relaxation 【点睛】【高分句型1】Grandpa Chen picked it up carefully and examined it closely, still doubting whether the man-made part could work well. I think you already know that people in different countries have different ways of doing things. Something that is rude in one country may well be quite polite in another. For example, in britain, you mustn't lift your ball to your mouth, and you'd Better not make a noise when you are having some liquid food. But in japan, you needn't worry about making a noise when you drink IT. IT shows that you are enjoying IT. In britain, you try not to put your hands on the table at all, bring a meal in mexico, however, guests are expected to keep their hands on the table throughout a meal. But IT is in the arab countries that you really must be careful with your hands. You see in the arab countries, you must not eat with your left hand. This is considered to be very impolite. So what should you do if you visit another country? Well, you needn't worry. You can ask the native people there to help you, or just watch carefully and try to do what they do, not as you do at home today, i'm going to tell you something about manners in different countries. A.Both are home to the world’s rarest primates (灵长目动物). B.Both have carried out visitor quota systems. C.Both are located on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. D.Both combine natural value with cultural significance. (本题10分)Most teenagers kill time playing video games, or surfing TikTok. (本题10分)Before war and time destroy more of our important cultural sites, we need to save them in 3D digital libraries. A computer then sews them together into one large surface image and draws lines from one point to another to create a wire-frame model (线框模型). High-resolution (高分辨率) digital cameras add colour and texture. (本题10分)When the morning sun throws light on the stone bricks of Durbar Square, my fingers gently touch the newly restored wooden doors, their surface warm and vivid — as if they had just awakened from a surgery. A.CrossBorder Cooperation Revives Heritage B.Nepal’s Struggle to Preserve Its Past C.Approaching Nepal Through Ancient Temples D.Looking into Traditional Craftsmanship (本题12.5分)Beijing Opera, World Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, has a long history and a complete system of stage performance in China. 36(2.5分) . ◆Development To celebrate the 80th birthday in 1790, Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty gathered opera troupes (演出团) to perform for him in Beijing. 37(2.5分) . I was 43 . Waiting longer wasn’t pleasant, but I felt it was impolite to walk away, especially if the ice-cream was now being 44 just for me. But finally, after waiting too long, I made a (an) 45 for the nearest bus to take me home. As I left, I 46 at my wrist and shrugged to the ice-cream seller. 47 I couldn’t wait any longer and it really wasn’t my fault. His face was, once again, one of the total confusion. This experience 48 from my memory until years later when I came back to live in Mexico. I discovered that understanding “ahorita” took not a fluency in the language, but rather a(n) 49 in the culture. When someone from Mexico says “ahorita,” it should almost never be taken 50 ; its meaning changes greatly with 51 . As a linguist told me, “Ahorita could mean tomorrow, in an hour, within five years or never.” It is even used as a polite way of saying “no, thanks” when 52 an offer. Difficulty in explaining what I have come to call “Ahorita Time” is a 53 of different cultural understandings of time. Since I moved to Mexico, my attitude towards time has changed dramatically. I don’t worry so much about being late; I am generally still on time for 54 , but when I’m not, I don’t feel 55 . Ironically, it would seem that “Ahorita Time,” has actually allowed me to live far more in the “right now” than I ever did before. 41.(1分)A.distant B.immediate C.vague D.confusing 42.(1分)A.anger B.curiosity C.confusion D.astonishment 43.(1分)A.discouraged B.awkward C.torn D.annoyed 44.(1分)A.conveyed B.delivered C.reserved D.restricted 45.(1分)A.rush B.call C.resolution D.requirement 46.(1分)A.waved B.signaled C.screamed D.smiled 47.(1分)A.Completely B.Significantly C.Unhappily D.Obviously 48.(1分)A.faded B.arose C.emerged D.accumulated 49.(1分)A.interest B.insight C.exploration D.fluency 50.(1分)A.literally B.seriously C.deeply D.strongly 51.(1分)A.intention B.character C.culture D.context 52.(1分)A.rejecting B.injecting C.giving D.accepting 53.(1分)A.mixture B.secret C.reflection D.preparation 54.(1分)A.arguments B.appointments C.amusements D.statements 55.(1分)A.dizzy B.isolated C.panicked D.satisfied 四、语法填空 (本题15分)阅读下面短文,在空白处填入1个适当的单词或括号内单词的正确形式。 As a brilliant pearl of intangible cultural heritage, Miao silver jewelry is 56(1.5分) (firm) rooted in the Miao people’s life. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 2 / 2 2 / 2 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
