Because of his great achievements 中的 his要求前文出现人物,D 项“中国核潜艇之父”正好完成“引出人物—评价成就”的衔接。
Our nation has lost a great scientist 说明前文必须交代“逝世”,故选 “He passed away on February 6th, 2025.”。
【点拨1】逻辑衔接——以 Passage 1 题 1 为例:原文写道“…’s first nuclear submarines (核潜艇)? 1 Because of his great achievements,…”。该空需填入承上启下的过渡句,保证段内逻辑连贯;D 项“He is known as “the father of China’s…”与前后句意衔接最紧,故选 D。
【点拨2】举例支撑——以 Passage 2 题 2 为例:原文写道“…answered with just ‘yes’ or ‘no’. 2 For example, ask ‘What was the hard…”。该空后为具体事例,须填入引出例证的句子;E 项“Instead, ask open questions about the…”
【点拨3】总结归纳——以 Passage 3 题 3 为例:原文写道“…395 families, found that children with siblings did more good things. 3”。该空为段落收束句,须收拢本段并呼应主题;B 项“If a sibling is warm and kind, the ot…”
Huang Hanbing did that. 4 During the term, she learnt every s…”。该空需填入承上启下的过渡句,保证段内逻辑连贯;D 项“She still remembers stepping into the…”
【点拨5】总结归纳——以 Passage 5 题 5 为例:原文写道“…ng public transportation, and taking part in tree-planting activities. 5”。该空为段落收束句,须收拢本段并呼应主题;C 项“Only by making these small changes ca…”
【点拨6】总结归纳——以 Passage 6 题 1 为例:原文写道“…onfusing, it’s also pretty common. 1 Here are a few tips to help you dea…”。该空为段落收束句,须收拢本段并呼应主题;D 项“You can keep the situation from troub…”
【点拨7】逻辑衔接——以 Passage 7 题 2 为例:原文写道“…when you check in with each other. 2 Eating meals together offers a way…”。该空需填入承上启下的过渡句,保证段内逻辑连贯;D 项“This can be hard to do with busy sche…”
【点拨8】段落主旨归纳——以 Passage 8 题 3 为例:原文写道“3 Though it might be true that they’re wrong, blaming (责怪) someone doesn…”。
Passage 1
Have you ever heard of Huang Xuhua, the main designer of China’s first nuclear submarines (核潜艇)? 1 Because of his great achievements, he was given the Medal of the Republic, China’s highest honor in 2019.
Huang Xuhua graduated from (毕业) Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1949. 2 At that time, his team didn’t have computers or technology. They couldn’t get any help from other experts, either. 3 They had to search for information from magazines and newspapers. After studying the information carefully, they came up with their own plans. 4 After years of hard work, they built China’s first nuclear submarine successfully in 1970.
Huang Xuhua kept researching throughout his whole life. Even in his 90s, he offered suggestions to young researchers on solving technical problems. The spirit is really worth learning. 5 Our nation has lost a great scientist. We will remember him forever.
A.He passed away on February 6th, 2025.
B.It was very difficult and challenging.
C.After graduation, he began to research shipbuilding.
D.He is known as “the father of China’s nuclear submarines”.
E.Based on the plans, they made efforts to do experiments with simple tools.
Passage 2
Your class is preparing a project called ‘Heroes Around Us’. How can you interview a role model in your school or neighborhood?
First, choose a person whose work helps others. It could be a doctor, a street cleaner, or a kind volunteer. Before meeting them, learn some basic facts about their work. 1 This will help you prepare meaningful questions.
Next, make a list of four or five clear questions. Do not ask questions that can be answered with just ‘yes’ or ‘no’. 2 For example, ask ‘What was the hardest moment in your job, and how did you solve it?’
During the interview, be an active listener. 3 If you keep checking your watch or playing with your phone, the person may feel uncomfortable. Take short notes of interesting words they say.
Pictures can make your final report much more lively. 4 Make sure you ask for their permission before taking any photos.
Finally, show your gratitude after the interview. 5 It shows good manners and lets them know that their time was truly valued.
A.Ask for a photo of the person at work or with their tools.
B.Send a short thank-you note or message the next day.
C.Find out what they do and when they started their job.
D.Look into the person’s eyes and listen to their stories patiently.
E.Instead, ask open questions about their feelings and experiences.
Passage 3
Have you ever fought like cats and dogs with your brothers and sisters? In fact, they make you a better person. Having siblings (兄弟姐妹) might help control weight. 1 Weight problems can last a lifetime, so having brothers or sisters might well be worth it. 2 A survey of more than 15,000 people found that almost half said their family and friends had the biggest influence on their health. Brothers and sisters set examples for each other in fitness and healthy eating.
Having brothers and sisters also makes you kinder. The same research, which looked at 395 families, found that children with siblings did more good things. 3
What’s more, brothers and sisters raise your chance of having a happy relationship with your future husband or wife. 4 Researchers believe that having other kids in your family makes you better at dealing with difficult situations in close relationships.
There are so many advantages of having siblings. But what if we don’t have any siblings? Don’t worry. 5 So make friends by joining school groups and finding people who enjoy the same things as you.
A.Siblings can help you develop healthy living habits.
B.If a sibling is warm and kind, the other will possibly be the same.
C.Research also shows that having close friends can be as helpful.
D.A university study finds that it’s easier for children with siblings to keep a healthy weight.
E.In fact, the more siblings you have, the higher the chance of a happy marriage you may have.
Passage 4
In spring this year, the dining hall at Beijing Forestry University became a lively classroom. Guided by the dining hall workers, students learnt how to make qingtuan, a traditional green rice snack. 1 He is a maths major (主修学生) at the university.
The class was very popular—around 80 per cent of the students signed up. For Li, this was more than just a simple cooking class. As a maths major, he often spends long hours studying. 2 It also helped him better understand and appreciate the hard work behind the meals served at the university every day.
The class is part of a larger programme to encourage students to develop practical skills and respect labour. 3
At Ocean University of China in Shandong, students can take a tea garden course. Huang Hanbing did that. 4 During the term, she learnt every stage of tea production, from picking leaves to brewing (冲泡) tea. At the end of the course, she handed in both a report and tea she grew herself.
5 However, many believe they offer lessons beyond the usual classroom. By cooking, farming and experiencing hands-on work, students learn practical skills and come to better understand the effort behind everyday life. These classes also remind young people that education is not only about books and exams, but also about understanding the real world.
A.Among the students was 19-year-old Li Tonghan.
B.These classes are not directly linked to students’ majors.
C.Making qingtuan with his hands helped him relax for a while.
D.She still remembers stepping into the tea fields for the first time.
E.Similar classes are becoming popular at universities across China.
Passage 5
Earth Day is celebrated every year on 22 April to remind people worldwide to protect our planet. It was first celebrated in 1970 when millions of Americans came together to protest pollution and environmental damage. This first Earth Day led to new environmental laws and inspired people in over 190 countries to take action. 1
The theme for Earth Day 2025 is “OUR POWER, OUR PLANET”. Its focus is on renewable energy, with a goal to triple clean electricity worldwide by 2030. 2 For example, schools, businesses and governments are encouraged to work together to decrease carbon emissions (减少碳排放), reduce pollution, and generate green power.
Earth Day teaches us that small actions matter. For example, planting trees helps fight climate change. 3 Do you know micro-plastics are now found in food like seafood and tea? Earth Day encourages solutions like using reusable bags or non-poisonous (无毒性的) pest control products to keep families and pets safe. 4 Schools can organize environmental protection-themed classes, where students discuss ways to reduce their environmental footprints in daily life. Educational institutions can organize many different activities to raise people's awareness of environmental protection and inspire them to make better choices, like using solar energy or supporting sustainable businesses. Earth Day’s message is clear: our planet's health depends on us and it requires our continuous efforts. We can start with small actions in our daily lives, such as reducing waste, using public transportation, and taking part in tree-planting activities. 5
A.Education is key to saving the planet.
B.It calls on everyone to work together to achieve the goal.
C.Only by making these small changes can we create a better future.
D.Today it has become the world’s largest environmental movement.
E.Avoiding plastic, recycling clothes, or using eco-friendly products also helps.
Passage 6
We’ve all been there — you’ve sent a message and it’s marked “read”, but you haven’t heard anything back. What’s the deal? While being left on read (已读不回) can be confusing, it’s also pretty common. 1 Here are a few tips to help you deal with it.
Expect the best. Remind yourself that the person is probably just busy. Ask yourself if you actually know their schedule. They might have other things to do that you don’t know about. Here are a few other reasons for a delayed (延迟的) response. They want to give you a longer response but can’t right now. They put their phone away to focus on work or school. 2 Maybe they thought about what they wanted to say but didn’t actually text it.
3 Give them a little space so they have a chance to reply. If you send a lot of follow-up texts, it’ll be hard for them to keep up and they might get stressed. Leave them with just one text to catch up on, and they will probably appreciate your patience.
Reread your previous (先前的) messages. Check if your messages are hard to understand. It’s okay if you review your message again and notice that it might have been a little unclear—it happens! 4
Put your phone away. 5 Don’t let it upset or confuse you. If you get your mind off all notifications (通知), you’ll be able to brainstorm new ways to spend your time.
A.Try not to double-text.
B.They accidentally forgot to reply.
C.Keep it out of sight and get some peace of mind.
D.You can keep the situation from troubling you until you hear back.
E.You might feel relieved when you find something that is easy to misunderstand (误解).
Passage 7
Raising teenagers can be both difficult and rewarding. They are becoming young adults. Almost all teenagers will have some behavioural outbursts (爆发) with their families during this period of life. But strong relationships can help teenagers and their parents through hard times. 1
Have meals together. Mealtime is when you check in with each other. 2 Eating meals together offers a way for parents and kids to share their thoughts and feelings. It brings families closer by creating trust and understanding to help guide children through the challenges of the teenage years.
3 As teenagers develop their own sense of independence, it gets harder to find time to talk. Talk in the car together, when doing dishes together, or at any time you have a chance. Remember that no matter how big their problems are, what most teenagers want is love and support.
Help teenagers connect with their families and communities. During these years, help teenagers learn that their words and actions are important. 4 Others may find connection through spiritual communities or from taking on more responsibilities at home. Connecting with families and communities also helps keep teenagers safe from riskier activities.
Find time to have fun together! What do you both enjoy? Playing chess? Going to the ballet? Volunteering in your community? 5 No one wants the attention of people they love to be focused only on what not to do. This is true for teenagers, too. Some teenagers try to find others' company (陪伴) by playing in music bands or team sports.
A.Talk with your teenagers.
B.Community activities help them feel loved and valued.
C.Take time to have fun and enjoy each other’s company.
D.This can be hard to do with busy schedules, but it is important.
E.Here are some ways to create good relationships between teenagers and parents.
Passage 8
It is common for us to give advice or ask others to make a change. 1 Giving advice wisely without causing harm to others helps you build stronger relationships with those around you. Here are ways to help express yourself and find a solution.
Find the right time and place to make your points. Try to find a moment when others are in a good mood, and talk to them in private to avoid embarrassing them in public. 2 It helps both people read each other’s body language and respond to each other properly.
3 Though it might be true that they’re wrong, blaming (责怪) someone doesn’t solve the problem. When you talk about the issue, focus on just the facts of the event and your own attitude towards it, and don’t trap yourself in the question of who’s to blame.
Avoid focusing too long on the mistakes. It is important to point out the mistakes, but once they’re pointed out, talk about ways to fix them, or how to move forward. 4 For example, say, “I’ve noticed you haven’t finished your work on time. Is there anything I can do to help you get these tasks done on time?”
Make requests, not demands (要求). 5 When offering solutions, avoid demanding change. Instead, ask for it, or express how much it would mean to you if things changed. This shows that you respect others, and aren’t just being controlling. For example, you might say, “I’d appreciate it if we didn’t talk about that so much. It embarrasses me,” instead of, “Stop saying that.”
A.A face-to-face conversation is the best.
B.Even the best of us don’t like being told what to do.
C.Use friendly language to avoid placing unnecessary blame.
D.However, sometimes, we may unintentionally (无意地) hurt them.
E.This shows others that you really care, and aren’t just here to pick holes (挑毛病).

姓名:___________班级:___________座号:___________
1.D 2.C 3.B 4.E 5.A
空格前以问句“Have you ever heard of Huang Xuhua...”引出人物,空格后说“Because of his great achievements, he was given the Medal of the Republic”。
2.空格前一句交代“Huang Xuhua graduated...”,空格后说“At that time, his team didn’t have computers or technology.”。
3.空格前说“They couldn’t get any help from other experts, either.”,空格后说“They had to search for information from magazines and newspapers.”。
4.空格前说“After studying the information carefully, they came up with their own plans.”,空格后说“After years of hard work, they built China’s first nuclear submarine successfully in 1970.”。 选项E用“Based on the plans”承接前文“plans”,用“do experiments”引出后文的建造过程。
5.空格后说“Our nation has lost a great scientist. We will remember him forever.”。此处需要交代后文“lost a great scientist”的原因。
1.C 2.E 3.D 4.A 5.B
前文“Before meeting them, learn some basic facts about their work.” C项“Find out what they do and when they started their job.”(弄清楚他们做什么工作以及什么时候开始这份工作),是了解人物工作基本信息的具体做法,引出后文“This will help you prepare meaningful questions.”,逻辑通顺。
2.前文“Do not ask questions that can be answered with just ‘yes’ or ‘no’.” E项“Instead, ask open questions about their feelings and experiences.”(相反,问一些关于他们感受和经历的开放式问题),和上文禁止一般疑问句形成转折,衔接后文举例的开放式问题。

4.前文“Pictures can make your final report much more lively.” A项“Ask for a photo of the person at work or with their tools.”(请求拍摄这个人工作或者拿着工具的照片)承接照片的话题,引出后文拍照前要征得许可。

What’s more, brothers and sisters raise your chance of having a happy relationship with your future husband or wife. 4 Researchers believe that having other kids in your family makes you better at dealing with difficult situations in close relationships.

1.D 2.A 3.C 4.E 5.B
上文提到“It is common for us to give advice or ask others to make a change.(对我们来说,给别人提建议或者要求他人做出改变是很常见的事)”,后文转而提及明智提建议的重要性,可推知设空处是转折逻辑,说明提建议时可能出现的意外状况,D选项“However, sometimes, we may unintentionally hurt them.”
2.根据下文“It helps both people read each other’s body language and respond to each other properly.(这能帮助双方读懂彼此的肢体语言,做出恰当的回应)”可推知,设空处提到的交流方式能够实现观察肢体语言的效果,A选项“A face-to-face conversation is the best.”
3.根据文章第三段“Though it might be true that they’re wrong, blaming (责怪) someone doesn’t solve the problem...”
4.上文提到“...point out the mistakes, but once they’re pointed out, talk about ways to fix them, or how to move forward.(指出错误,但错误点明后,要探讨解决方法或者如何推进后续事宜)”,后文还举例说明带有帮扶倾向的表达,可推知这种做法是向对方传递善意而非刻意挑错,E选项“This shows others that you really care, and aren’t just here to pick holes.”
5.上文提到“Make requests, not demands.(提出请求,而非下达要求)”,后文说明要避免强制要求他人改变,可推知设空处对应解释不要用命令口吻的原因,B选项“Even the best of us don’t like being told what to do.”
