不定冠词 a / an 的用法
单数动物名词前要加不定冠词 a 或 an。以辅音音素开头的单词用 a，以元音音素开头的单词用 an。
1. a + 辅音音素开头：a dog，a cat，a tiger，a rabbit
2. an + 元音音素开头：an elephant，an apple，an orange
【注意】
看音标不看字母：
an elephant（elephant 以元音 /e/ 开头，用 an）
a monkey（monkey 以辅音 /m/ 开头，用 a）

What’s this / that? 问答及 this / that 的区别
What’s this? 用于询问近处的事物，What’s that? 用于询问远处的事物，回答统一用 It’s a / an + 名词。
—What’s this? 这是什么？ —It’s a cat. 是一只猫。
—What’s that? 那是什么？ —It’s an elephant. 是一头大象。
【注意】
1. this 指“这个”（近处），that 指“那个”（远处）。
2. 回答时用 It，不用 this 或 that：不能说 It’s this a cat.
3. look at 是固定搭配，后面必须接宾语：Look at the dog.（不能只说 Look at.）
