A. used to B. is used to C. was used to D. use to
【答案】A
used to过去常常;is used to习惯于/被用来;was used to习惯于/被用来;use to无此用法。

A. thanks for B. because C. with D. instead of
【答案】C

thanks for因为……而感谢;because因为;with在…… 根据空后名词短语“the help of...”,结合短语with the help of意为“在……的帮助下”可知,此处需填入介词with构成固定搭配。because是连词,后需接句子,语法结构不符;thanks for和 instead of代入后语义逻辑不通。

根据“make it+adj.+for sb. to do sth.”

has been to去过(已回来);has gone to去了(未回来);has been in在某地待了(一段时间);went to去了(一般过去时)。 应填has gone to。

“It is+形容词+of sb. to do sth.”用于形容人的品质(如clever、kind等),其中形容词描述人的性格特征;“It is+形容词+for sb. to do sth.” 此处clever是形容人的品质,应用“of sb. to do sth.”结构。应填of; to solve。

A. where does Tom go
B. where Tom goes
C. where did Tom go
D. where Tom went

句子是含有where引导的宾语从句的主从复合句,宾语从句要用陈述语序,即“连接词+主语+谓语”,选项A和C是疑问语序,排除;根据答语“He went to the library to read books.” 应填where Tom went。

—Sure, he will come on time.
A. whether B. what C. that D. how

“whether”表示“是否”,“what”对事物提问,“that”在宾语从句中无实际意义(仅起连接作用),“how”对方式提问;根据答语“Sure, he will come on time”可知,问句是在询问“是否会来”,“whether”符合语境,其他选项不符合语义逻辑。应填whether。

Many teachers and parents wonder how to help students keep active in study. The key is to develop students’ intrinsic motivation (内驱力), which means the inner drive to learn, not just for high marks or prizes.
When students have inner drive, they learn out of curiosity (好奇心) and interest. They will take the initiative to look up new knowledge and keep trying when meeting difficult problems. Instead of waiting for teachers’ orders, they set small learning goals by themselves.
How can we build this kind of inner drive? First, give students some space to choose what they want to explore. If the topic connects with their hobbies, they will be more willing to dig deeper. Second, praise their efforts rather than only their good grades. When they feel their hard work is seen, they will become more confident. Third, let them experience the joy of solving problems: The sense of achievement can light up their love for learning.
Students with strong inner drive do not fear failures. They treat mistakes as chances to grow. This ability helps them not only at school, but also in lifelong learning. Inner drive is the most valuable gift we can give to young learners.

In December 2025, Saihanba forest farm successfully passed a Forest Management Certification (森林经营认证) It acts as a “green pass”, helping Saihanba’s forest products enter global markets.
Located in Hebei Province, Saihanba has experienced an amazing change. By the late 1950s, centuries of overgrazing (过度放牧) and logging (伐木) had made it into a desert. With sandstorms threatening the capital and other northern cities, China decided to bring it back to life. Today, it is the world’s largest man-made forest.
This success comes from the hard work of three generations (代) of foresters. In 1962, the first group of 369 foresters arrived there to plant trees, most of whom were in their 20s. “Working in the forest, you have to work hard no matter what the conditions are,” a worker said. Today, a new generation is taking on new challenges. They are using scientific methods to improve the forest. For example, they are planting mixed tree species to make the forest stronger against fire, pests (害虫) and climate change.
Over the years, these foresters have turned the desert into a green sea. The forest coverage (覆盖率) has increased from 11 percent to 82 percent. They also take pride in the “Saihanba Spirit”, which means remembering why they started, working hard and trying new things, and developing in a green way. In 2017, Saihanba won the UN’s highest environmental honour. Saihanba proves that strong will and science can turn poor land into green places. It sets a powerful example for green development, offering hope to China and other countries around the world.
