Zhejiang Province is in the southeast of China. In recent years, the countryside in Zhejiang has changed greatly, especially in the Garden Village of Nanma Town.
To find new ways to develop, every villager works hard. One of the best ways they come up with is to build a “new-type farmer” team with new ideas, knowledge and technologies. Because young people have rich educational backgrounds (背景), they can have different ideas. For example, they use online platforms (平台) to sell local products. So the government decides to call on them to develop the countryside.
Now, many young people have returned to their hometowns after finishing school in other places. They work hard to develop and protect natural landscapes and create more cultural attractions for tourists. They also take action to develop other new local businesses, making more than one million yuan for their hometowns. To improve farmers’ skills, the government provides some training programs for them. It is convenient for them to learn modern farming techniques and work with others. Life around me has changed greatly over the past few years. These changes have made my life more convenient and colourful.
Years ago, my parents went shopping in physical stores and we communicated with relatives mainly by making phone calls. When I was free, I only read books or watched TV for fun. Now things are different. We can shop online at home and talk with my family by video call. At weekends, I can take online courses or enjoy different kinds of sports. Our life becomes easier and much more wonderful.
I really love these changes. They show our society is developing fast. Although life becomes easier, we should still cherish what we have.
