第一节(共15小题;每小题 2分,满分30分)
A
2026 is the 48th year of China’s reform and opening-up (改革开放). People’s lives have been greatly changed during these years. Now let’s see what the four people say about the changes.
Xu Zhenhe, 57, Beijing
I bought my first camera in 1998 in Beijing. It was made in Japan. At that time, you could only buy such things from other countries in special stores. After taking photos, you had to develop the film (冲洗胶卷) to get photos. It cost 15 yuan to develop a roll of film. But I only made 500 yuan a month at that time!
Xu Zhaolin, 25, Beijing
Cameras weren’t common in my father’s time, but now we can buy all kinds of cameras online both from home and abroad. Actually, most of the time, the phone cameras are useful enough for us to take photos. So expensive cameras are hardly necessary. We can make photos more beautiful and keep them “forever” on the phone.
Huang Kunrong, 72, Sichuan
When I was a kid, we had to use food coupons, also known as liangpiao, to buy rice, oil, salt and so on. Each person could only get a fixed quantity (定量) of them each month. Sometimes people didn’t have enough rice to eat, so they could only eat the stored food like sweet potatoes.
Xiao Yao, 14, Sichuan
Compared with my grandma, we are leading a much better life now. We don’t need to worry about food shortage. We can enjoy different kinds of food every day. For us, food coupons have become history. And we don’t even need to carry paper money every day. Instead, we use our phones to pay. It’s quite easy and quick!
16. Where did Xu Zhenhe buy his first camera?
A. In an online store in Beijing. B. In a special store in Japan.
C. In a special store in Beijing. D. In a food store in Sichuan.
17. What can we know from the passage?
A. It cost Xu Zhenhe 500 yuan to develop a roll of film in 1998.
B. Mobile payment brings great convenience to people’s daily life.
C. People still need food coupons to buy rice and oil in Sichuan now.
D. Most people still choose expensive cameras to take photos nowadays.
18. What is the purpose of this passage?
A. To ask us to value those old things in our daily life.
B. To tell us the great changes in our daily lives.
C. To show us when China’s reform and opening-up began.
D. To require us not to waste food in our daily lives.
B
Back in New York, I am fighting fires as the assistant captain (副队长) of a volunteer fire company.
I still remember my first fire. I was the second volunteer on the scene, so there was a pretty good chance I was going to get in. When I found the captain, he was having a very engaging conversation with the homeowner, who was surely having one of the worst days of her life. At midnight, she was standing outside in the pouring rain, under an umbrella, barefoot, while her house was in flames.
The other volunteer, who had arrived just before me, was asked to go inside and save the homeowner’s dog. The dog! I was stunned with jealousy. For the rest of his life, he could tell people that he went into a burning building to save a living creature! The captain then waved me over. He said, “Mark, I need you to go upstairs past the fire, and get this woman a pair of shoes.” So, not exactly what I was hoping for, but off I went up the stairs, down the hall, past the “real” firefighters, who were pretty much done putting out the fire at this point, into the master bedroom to get a pair of shoes.
Now I know what you’re thinking, but I’m no hero. I carried the shoes downstairs where I met the other volunteer with the precious dog. We took our treasures outside to the homeowner, where, not surprisingly, his received much more attention than mine.
A few weeks later, the company received a letter from the homeowner thanking us for saving her home. The act of kindness she noted above all others was that someone had even gotten her a pair of shoes.
So don’t wait until you make your first million to make a difference in somebody’s life. If you have something to give, give it now. ▲ , but every day gives us a chance to influence one. So get in the game. Save the shoes.
19. Where was the woman when Mark arrived?
A. She was wet in the rain without an umbrella.
B. She stood outside her house without any shoes.
C. She was in her burning house waiting for help.
D. She was sitting in her car with her dog beside her.
20. What was Mark’s first task when he arrived at the fire scene?
A. To get a pair of shoes for the homeowner.
B. To put out the fire with other volunteers.
C. To save the homeowner’s dog immediately.
D. To have a conversation with the homeowner.
21. What can we infer from the passage?
A. The homeowner wrote the letter mainly to show thanks for her lost shoes.
B. Small kindness can leave deep impressions in people’s heart.
C. The volunteer saving the dog got more praise from the homeowner.
D. The author felt angry because nobody cared about the shoes he fetched.
22. Which of the following can be put in the ▲ in the last paragraph?
A. Life is full of surprising moments B. The world needs more kind people
C. Not each day brings a life-saving chance D. Every moment is important in our lives
C
“Am I an ‘I’ person or an ‘E’ person?” It is a popular topic among young people around China today. Many people are crazy about it so that they take a personality test named Myers-Briggs test to find out the answer.
Many people find the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Test Indicator) useful. It groups people into 16 types, which start with the letter “I” or “E”, such as “ENTJ, INFP” or more. “E” is short for “Extroversion” while “I” is for “Introversion”. After testing, some say, “I’m extroverted, I should go to parties and make friends,” while others think, “I’m introverted, I prefer working alone, maybe I’ll be a writer someday.” They believe knowing their type can help them make quicker choices about activities, careers, and life paths. However, there are some problems with the test. Some get different results when they retake it, and some find it hard to answer certain questions. For example, “I like watching TV alone, but I also enjoy hanging out with friends. Am I an ‘I’ or an ‘E’?”
When you take a personality test, you may think, “Oh, that’s me.” That’s because the descriptions are generic. They can be used to describe many people. Research has found that over 50% of people get a different score when they retook the MBTI just five weeks later. Personalities can change with time, and they are not black-or-white, scientists say. You may be introverted now but become extroverted when you get older. Or, you can be both an “I” and an “E”. Don’t label (贴标签) yourself! Studies have also shown that the test is not real at telling people’s success in different jobs. So, don’t take it too seriously.
23. What is the main purpose of doing the MBTI test?
A. To test a hot and special topic. B. To help get different opinions.
C. To help make more friends. D. To test your personality type.
24. According to the test in Paragraph 2, what may you choose to do if you are an “E” person?
A. I may like reading books in the library on vacation.
B. I may like cooking simple meals at home alone on weekends.
C. I may like watching movies with a pet dog on Friday night.
D. I may like celebrating different festivals with different people.
25. What does the underlined word “generic” probably mean?
A. Common. B. Special. C. Clear. D. Simple.
26. Why does the author write the passage?
A. To introduce what MBTI is. B. To tell whether MBTI is useful.
C. To explain how people use MBTI. D. To list how many people use MBTI.
D
What would you like for lunch? Maybe, a battery (电池)? It sounds unusual, but scientists have already made this a reality with the development of edible electronics (可食用的电子产品).
Robofood, a program led by Dario Floreano from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne, Switzerland, has been the forerunner. Together with scientists from Wageningen University, the Netherlands, it has made a new drone (无人机). Half of the parts inside can be eaten! The program plans to create edible robots and robot-like foods by mixing food science and robots in a new way.
According to the scientists, the wings of the drone were made from rice cakes glued together using oil and chocolate. This drone can find missing people or animals in difficult or dangerous situations and carry important food or medicine to them. Parts of the drone can be eaten since they meet food safety standards set up by the United Nations.
However, the main challenge is finding harder edible materials (材料) for the drone’s wings to prepare for bad weather and high temperatures—of course, the chocolate may melt (融化) easily.
Robofood also helps check on stomach sickness. People eat it to check the conditions inside. The body can easily digest (消化) it, reducing the risk of leaving any remains inside the body.
The invention of Robofood also helps with environmental protection. The world’s first fully edible batteries can help solve the growing problem of throwing away used batteries. The battery’s positive and negative ends are made of vitamin B2 and another natural element that can be found in many fruits including apples. So the new battery can be more friendly for nature.
27. According to the article, what do you know about the new drone?
A. The drone can only fly in windy weather.
B. All parts of the drone are very strong and edible.
C. The wings of the drone are made of cakes and fruits.
D. The drone can send food and medicine to people in danger.
28. What does “remains” in Paragraph 5 refer to (指代)?
A. Some waste materials from the body.
B. The world’s first fully edible batteries.
C. Parts of the Robofood that the body doesn’t digest.
D. Parts of the medicine used to treat stomach sickness.
29. How does the Robofood program help to protect the environment?
A. By developing drones that can be partly eaten.
B. By inventing the world’s first fully edible batteries.
C. By creating all kinds of foods that look like robots.
D. By making stomach medicine that can be easily digested.
30. What is the best title for the article?
A. The Importance of World Food Safety B. Solving the Problem of Used Batteries
C. Robofood: Edible Electronics and Robots D. The Future of Drones in Difficult Situations

【答案】19. B 20. A 21. B 22. C

【答案】23. D 24. D 25. A 26. B

Studies have also shown that the test is not real at telling people’s success in different jobs. So, don’t take it too seriously.”可知,测试结果并不是固定的,不要给自己贴标签,研究还表明,该测试并不能真实地判断人们在不同工作中的成功程度。因此推测作者主要是为了说明这个测试是否有用。故选B。
