Marie Curie was a famous scientist. She was born in Poland in 1867. From an early age, she was interested in learning and showed great intelligence. At that time, it was difficult for women in Poland to go to university, so she later moved to Paris, France, to continue her studies. In Paris, Curie studied physics and mathematics. Life was not easy for her. She had little money and sometimes did not have enough food, but she worked very hard. Later, she worked with her husband, Pierre Curie. Together, they studied special materials and discovered two new elements, polonium and radium.
Marie Curie became the first woman to win a Nobel Prize. She was also the first person to win Nobel Prizes in two different sciences: Physics and Chemistry. Her work changed the way people understood science and helped later scientists make important discoveries.
Curie died in 1934, but people around the world still remember her. Her life shows us how hard work and a love of learning can change the world.

The giant panda is one of the best-known animals in the world. It mainly lives in the mountains of central China. With its black-and-white body and round face, it is easy to recognize.
Giant pandas are a type of bear. An adult panda can weigh about 70 to 120 kilograms. Although pandas belong to the bear family, their food is quite different from that of many other bears. They mainly eat bamboo. Because bamboo does not give them much energy, pandas need to spend many hours a day eating it. A baby panda is very small when it is born. It usually weighs only about 100 to 200 grams and has pink skin. As it grows, its famous black-and-white colours begin to appear.
Years ago, giant pandas were in danger because they lost much of their living space. People cut down forests, so pandas had fewer places to live and less bamboo to eat. To protect them, China built nature reserves and planted more bamboo forests. Today, there are more giant pandas in the wild than there were in the past. However, protecting their homes is still very important. By studying pandas, scientists can learn more about them and find better ways to help them survive.
