My name is Li Liang. I grew up in a small village far from the town. Our village was surrounded by mountains, and a wide river ran between our village and my school. Thirty years ago, my friends and I had to cross this river to get to school. There was no bridge at that time, so we used a simple and narrow ropeway to go across the river. We held on to the rope tightly and pulled ourselves over the rushing water below. It was tiring and scary, but we had no other choice.
Thanks to the local government, the villagers’ dream has come true. There is a wide bridge over the river now. Moreover, the villagers now live in new buildings and work in factories in the town.
As for me, with the love and encouragement from kind people, Ihave had no fear on the way to my dream. Last year, I graduated from university. To answer the call of rural revitalization(乡村振兴),I chose to work as an engineer to help build my hometown along with some of my friends. In fact, thanks to the Chinese Dream, great changes have taken place all over China in the past few years. China has also made a lot of achievements such as 5G, high-speed railways, and the Beidou NavigationSystem.
Now our government is carrying out a lot of projects, such as urban-rural integration(城乡融合发展) and ecological tourism, to increase people's income and improve their quality of life. More and more people are willing to return to their hometowns to do some meaningful things.
Where there are dreams, efforts and unity, there is a way. I believe that Chinese people will continue to pull together and work hard to achieve more in the future.

In the past, strict policies generally stopped pets from accompanying their owners on railway journeys in China. However, China RailwayExpress introduced a creative pet service, marking a great change in railway travel rules. Since 8th April, 2025, pets have been allowed to travel on the same trains as their owners, but in separate areas. This shows a more modern and considerate (体贴的) way to meet passengers’different needs.
To use the service, owners must book the pet transport service online at least two days in advance. Pets do not need to buy a passenger ticket, but owners must pay for a special pet shipping service. At present, only healthy cats and dogs under 15 kg, with a shoulder height under 40 cm and a body length under 52 cm, can use the service. Owners also need to show an official health certificate (证书) to prove that their pets are healthy.
On the train, pets stay in special boxes in a separate area. Train workers provide them with drinking water, but owners are not allowed to visit or feed them. When the service first started, it only ran on ten trains connecting five stations: Beijing South, Jinan West, Nanjing South,Shanghai Hongqiao and Hangzhou East.
Many pet owners feel happy but a little worried as well. QinPeixuan, one of these pet owners, thinks the boxes are so small that they may make pets uncomfortable inside. She also worries that barking dogs may make cats feel afraid.
