Didi has made a plan to improve its lost-item service. The plan asks people who find a passenger's lost thing to contact the passenger at once and help return it. If they cannot call the passenger, they should call Didi's customer service.
The passenger and the person who finds it can choose a good time and place to meet. A passenger may give the driver a fair amount of money for time and travel. If the two sides cannot agree, the driver should take the item to a police station within 48 hours after contacting the passenger.
The plan also says that a driver who loses or damages an item should pay proper payment. Items worth 2,000 yuan or more are valuable things, and passengers should report them to the police. Didi asked the public to share more new ideas about the plan. The company hopes clear rules will make it easier for passengers and drivers to handle lost items.
