Ⅲ. 阅读理解(21—32题,每题2.5分,共30分)
阅读下面三篇短文,从每题所给的四个选项中选出最佳选项。
Passage A
During the Spring Festival, I visited Jiuzhaigou in Sichuan. I wanted a quiet holiday, so I chose winter. My large hotel had about 300 rooms, but only a few people were staying there. The park was only a ten-minute taxi ride away.
When I entered the valley, I saw blue-green lakes, streams, and waterfalls between snowy mountains. The water was so clear that I could see the lake bottom. A park bus carried visitors through the long valley, but I often got off and walked alone. Every turn showed me a new view.
Near a small village, I found a quiet river. I sat beside it and listened to the water for an hour. Sunlight made the blue water brighter, and I felt calm and happy. I learned that Jiuzhaigou joined the UNESCO World Natural Heritage list in 1992. However, its beauty was more than a name on a list. For me, the best part was the deep peace that the clear water brought. It was the winter trip that I had hoped for, and I carried that peaceful feeling safely home.
21. Why did the writer choose to visit Jiuzhaigou in winter?
A.To see crowded summer shows.
B.To enjoy a quiet holiday.
C.To study rare mountain animals.
D.To visit many busy shops.
22. How far was the park from the writer's hotel?
A.A thirty-minute bus ride.
B.A fifty-minute walk away.
C.A ten-minute taxi ride.
D.A two-hour train trip.
23. What did the writer do beside the river?
A.Sat beside the river.
B.Took a park bus for hours.
C.Climbed a snowy mountain alone.
D.Bought food in the village.
24. What was the best part of the trip for the writer?
A.The nearly empty hotel rooms.
B.The long ride through Sichuan.
C.The UNESCO World Heritage list.
D.The peace from clear water.
Passage B
Should national parks be closed to all visitors? Some people say yes because human activity may hurt plants and animals. They believe that closing every part is the safest choice. Protection is certainly the first job of a national park, but a full closing is not always necessary.
A better plan is to divide a park into different areas. Important natural areas should stay closed or have very few visitors. Other areas can open under clear rules. When people visit these places, they can learn why rivers, forests, and wild animals need care. Ticket money can also support park workers and protection work.
Still, tourism must be controlled. Parks should limit visitor numbers, provide paths, and stop people from feeding animals or leaving rubbish. Shops and hotels should not be built in natural areas. If a park only tries to make money, the wonder may disappear.
In my view, good management can join public learning with strong protection. Visitors should not go everywhere or do anything they want. However, they can enjoy some parts of a park and become more willing to care for nature. Clear rules make this balance possible and help national parks remain healthy for future families.
25. What does the writer think is a better plan for national parks?
A.Divide parks into different areas.
B.Close every park throughout the year.
C.Build large hotels near wild animals.
D.Let all visitors travel anywhere freely.
26. What should stay closed or have very few visitors?
A.All roads outside the park.
B.Every shop beside the park.
C.Important natural areas.
D.All towns near the park.
27. Why can some park areas open to visitors?
A.To build more shops and hotels.
B.To hold sports meetings every week.
C.To feed every animal in winter.
D.To learn about protecting nature.
28. What is the main idea of the passage?
A.Park visitors should follow no rules.
B.Parks can balance visits and protection.
C.National parks should only make money.
D.Wild animals should live near hotels.

A blue ice cave lies high on a mountain in Palbar county, Xizang. It is about 4,500 meters above sea level and is the largest cave of this kind in China. For years, few people outside the area knew about it.
The cave became widely known in early 2023, when a short online video showed its great beauty. Since then, it has drawn people who enjoy adventure and taking pictures. Inside, blue ice walls bend into natural arches. An underground river runs through the cave, and its loud sound fills the cold space.
The old ice formed slowly over thousands of years. Light passes through it and gives the walls their bright blue color. The view is very beautiful, but the high mountain can be dangerous. Visitors need warm clothes, safe equipment, and an experienced local guide. They should check the weather before leaving and avoid touching or breaking the ice. Careful travel can protect both visitors and this hidden natural wonder.
38. Where is the blue ice cave?

40. When did the cave become widely known?

The cave became widely known in early 2023, when a short online video showed its great beauty. Since then, it has drawn people who enjoy adventure and taking pictures. Inside, blue ice walls bend into natural arches. An underground river runs through the cave, and its loud sound fills the cold space.
