▶构词法日积月累
1.前缀ac-表示“一起”或“加强”。如accent=ac-(加强)+cent(唱)→着重唱→重音;accelerate加速,加快,accompany伴随,陪伴,accomplish完成。
2.后缀-ful是一个形容词后缀,其作用是将一个名词转化为一个形容词,表示“充满……的”或“具有……特性的”。如beautiful美丽的,faithful忠诚的,powerful强大的,wonderful奇妙的。有时后缀-ful还可以表示“具有特定的性质或状态”。如careful小心的,grateful感激的,joyful快乐的。有些名词加上-ful后缀,表示“量或程度”。如bucketful一桶之量,mouthful一满口的量。
3.后缀-ic可以是形容词后缀,表示“属于……的”或“具有……的性质”,也可以是名词后缀,表示“与……有关的人”或“某种学术”及其他抽象名词。如critic评论家,logic逻辑学,scientific科学的。
