▶构词法日积月累
1.前缀out-表示“超过,胜过;出,外”。如outbreak=out-(外)+break(打破,突破)→爆发; outgoing=out-(外)+going(进行的)→往外去的→外向的;outperform=out-(胜过)+perform(表演)→胜过,做得比……好;outside=out-(外)+side(边,侧)→外侧;outstanding= out(出)+stand(站立)+-ing(形容词后缀)→出人头地,站得很高→杰出的。

2.前缀ob-来源于拉丁词ob,意为“toward”,后引申为“逆;反,反对”之意,ob-在c,f,p前面变成oc-,of-,op-,在其他元音字母或其他辅音字母前ob-保持不变,如:obey=ob-(向……)+ey(听)→服从;object=ob-(反对)+ject(扔)→反对向……扔→反对;obsess=ob-+sess(坐)→迷得神魂颠倒,坐不住→使迷恋;oppose=ob-(逆、反)+pose (姿态)→反对。
