B It was a Saturday afternoon, and I was rushing to the city library to return three books. The due date was that evening, and I knew I would be fined if I handed them in even one day late. Dark clouds rolled in suddenly, and a heavy rain poured down before I could find shelter. As I ran forward with my head down, I noticed an old man standing still by the bus stop. His umbrella was broken, with its frame bent, and his shoulders were already wet through. I slowed down for a second, but then kept walking. I was already tight on time, and stopping to help might make me miss the library’s closing hour. For a moment, I told myself that someone else would stop, and that the man could wait for the bus inside the small shelter. But the image of his trembling shoulders stuck in my mind. I took a deep breath, turned around, and walked back toward him. I held my umbrella over his head and offered him the spare one I kept in my school bag. He thanked me warmly, explaining that he was on his way to the hospital to visit his wife, who had been ill for weeks. When the bus arrived, he waved with a bright smile before getting on. Standing in the rain, I felt a warm and soft feeling spread in my chest, even though I knew I would surely pay the fine now. That evening, as I thought about the experience, I realized how often we let “being busy” stop us from small kind acts. We always fill our days with tasks and deadlines, and we treat every minute as something we cannot afford to waste. We walk past people in need with our heads down, believing our own matters are far more important. Actually, true kindness does not require grand plans or much time. A ten-minute stop, a shared umbrella, or even a warm smile can light up someone’s dark day. In giving a little, we receive far more in return—a peaceful heart and the knowledge that we have made a difference, no matter how small. 24.Why did the writer rush to the library? A.To avoid being fined. B.To get more books. C.To meet his friends. D.To escape heavy rain. 25.What can we infer from Paragraph 2? A.The writer was warm-hearted. B.The bus came quickly. C.The man refused help. D.The library closed early. 26.How did the writer feel after helping the old man? A.Regretful B.Warm C.Confused D.Tired 27.What is the main idea of the last paragraph? A.Small kind acts are really meaningful. B.Helping others takes us much time. C.Great plans give us real happiness. D.Bad days will pass very soon. C A new study offers fresh insight into how people assess the environmental impact of the foods they eat, and the results suggest many are getting it wrong. These misunderstandings point to a clear need for simple environmental impact labels to help guide better choices. Researchers from the University of Nottingham’s School of Psychology asked 168 participants in the UK to sort a wide variety of supermarket foods into environmental impact categories of their own making. Participants were also shown scientific estimates of each product’s environmental impact and asked whether the results were higher or lower than they expected. The study found that people tend to assess the impact of food using two main factors: whether the food comes from animals or plants, and how processed it is. In general, participants assumed that meat and dairy products, as well as highly processed foods, are worse for the environment. However, these assumptions sometimes belie reality. Many participants overestimated the environmental impact of processed foods while underestimating the impact of water-intensive (高耗水的) products. They were also surprised to learn how much higher the environmental impact of beef is compared to other meats like chicken. Food production plays a major role in environmental issues, including greenhouse gases and biodiversity loss. Encouraging more sustainable eating habits depends in part on understanding how people perceive the environmental footprint of different foods. Daniel Fletcher, lead author of the study, said, “We found participants would be willing to change their purchasing behavior based on this task, but they may struggle to compare the environmental impact of animal-based products and highly processed foods because they see their effects as too different to weigh against each other. Environmental impact data on food products is opening up new possibilities for this research, and labels that give foods a single overall grade (such as A-E) could help make these comparisons easier for consumers, thus allowing people to make sustainable food choices.” 28.What do the researchers hope to find out about the participants? A.Their understanding of food quality. B.Their preferences for popular food. C.Their methods for food categorization. D.Their view of food’s ecological cost. 29.What does the underlined word “belie” in paragraph 4 mean? A.Ignore. B.Affect. C.Disclose. D.Mismatch. 30.What do consumers require according to Daniel Fletcher? A.Change of shopping behavior. B.A uniform grading system. C.More data on food consumption. D.A comparison of different foods. 31.What is the purpose of the text? A.To advise on food choices. B.To call for food eco-labels. C.To advocate good eating habits. D.To show dietary carbon footprint. D Mindfulness is such a hot word. We all want it. But while mindfulness may be credited as a key to happiness, mind-wandering is the key to our survival as a species. According to Michael Graziano, a professor of psychology and neuroscience, humans evolved to prioritize immediate threats. “Having your attention focused on external events happening in the moment is of great importance during “fight-or-flight” moments,” says Graziano. But the other side of it is also important: when our mind wanders, that, too, is essential to our survival, says Graziano. “It’s partly about remembering how to survive the saber tooth tiger (剑齿虎), but it might also be about social interactions. There are a lot of benefits to mind-wandering so long as you’re not doing it the moment a tiger is attacking you,” says Graziano. Often, when our minds wander, we’re thinking about past and future social interactions and how to conduct them. And this phenomenon isn’t by chance. Emiliano Bruner, a paleoneurobiologist (古神经生物学家), explains that it originates from the brain’s parietal cortex (顶叶皮层). His 2022 study reveals that this region expanded significantly in modern humans, enabling outstanding capacities of visual imaging, along with imagination of past and future. “This is a wonderful superpower for evolution, promoting evolutionary fitness, but it’s also a drawback for individuals because it can cause overthinking, fears and anxiety,” says Bruner. Today, this ability to survive is also the source of a lot of human sufferings. According to Bruner, in psychology, this is called “negativity prejudice” — or our natural instinct to think negatively about the future to remove any threats to our survival. “Evolution did its job, and happiness is not among its priorities,” says Bruner. Bruner says that because mind wandering was important to our evolutionary survival, humans today need to control the damage it can do to our lives. Regular meditation, for example, is a tool that has been proven by research to increase time spent in the present moment and limit the overthinking that brings mental pains. 32.Why does the author mention “fight-or-flight” in paragraph 2? A.To criticize its negative impact on modern mental health. B.To argue that humans no longer rely on evolutionary instincts. C.To compare different roles of mindfulness and mind-wandering. D.To emphasize its role as the only survival strategy humans need. 33.What is the main idea of paragraph 3? A.The danger of mind-wandering during attacks. B.The benefits of mindfulness in social interactions C.The connection of social skills to human survival. D.The evolutionary role of mind-wandering in safe periods. 34.Which of the following statements might Bruner agree with? A.We developed “negativity prejudice” after we were born. B.Mind-wandering is a drawback for individuals and should be avoided. C.Evolutionary adaptations prioritize survival over mental well-being. D.The expansion of the parietal cortex in humans enables us to better focus. 35.Which of the following can be the best title for the passage? A.Meditation Fixes Evolutionary Flaws B.A Wandering Mind Is Part of Our Evolution C.The Dangers of Overthinking in Modern Life D.The History of Neuroscience and Human Evolution Our research shows that children and young people have enjoyed reading less and read less often for a long time. It is important to listen to what they really think about reading. 36 In 2025, 58,398 young people aged 8 to 18 told us their opinions on reading in their free time. Their words show the close connection among different reasons that influence whether they take part in reading. Feelings, thinking, behavior, social situations and environment affect different readers in different ways. 37 Here is an introduction to them. 38 They have good reading habits, can choose what to read, and get support and encouragement from family, teachers and classmates. Ambivalent (矛盾的) readers have the weakest connection with reading. 39 Whether they enjoy reading depends much on conditions and can be easily influenced. Averse (厌恶的) readers often think reading is boring, tiring and useless. They are not confident, have trouble paying attention, can hardly get interesting books, and dislike reading because they regard it as a tiring school task. 40 At the same time, for all readers, the right to choose books, easy chances to read, good environments and no pressure are very important to their reading experience. In a word, the results show that we need proper ways to build a better reading culture to meet the needs of all children and young people. A.The readers rarely spend time reading. B.Readers can therefore be divided into three major groups. C.This helps us understand the reasons behind the main data. D.It is well known that reading can bring us a lot of happiness. E.Keen readers think reading brings them joy, relaxation and peace. F.In this case, we should use different ways to help different readers. G.They are influenced by both good and bad feelings at the same time. On summer vacation in 2023, I felt it was time to get some real-world experience. Recently, China 56 (official) launched its Mars sample-return mission, Tianwen 3, marking a significant step forward in planetary exploration. The mission, 57 (schedule) for launch around 2028, aims to bring Martian samples back to Earth by around 2031. Advanced laboratory instruments 58 (employ) to conduct comprehensive analyses, seeking to determine 59 life ever existed — or may still exist — on Mars. Like Earth, Mars lies within the habitable zone of our solar system. Research suggests that Mars once had a thick atmosphere and a warm, moist (湿润的) climate early in its history, 60 (make) it suitable for the emergence and 61 (develop) of microbial (微生物的) life. The key to China’s MSR mission lies in identifying Martian materials 62 are most likely to preserve evidence of past or present life. To achieve this 63 (ambition) goal, Chinese scientists must conduct extensive research before launching the rockets. This includes searching for areas on Mars rich 64 essential minerals, regions where liquid water was likely present in the planet’s early history 65 sites where traces of Martian microbial activity could potentially be preserved for billions of years. Health First, Sports for All ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第二节(满分25分) 67. At the corner of our community stands a small old shoe-repair shop run by Uncle Chen, a modest and diligent craftsman. For more than twenty years, he has served the residents around the neighborhood wholeheartedly. He skillfully mends worn shoes, frayed schoolbags, loose belts and all kinds of daily necessities for neighbors of all ages. His palms are covered with thick calluses from years of hard work, but he always treats every tiny repair earnestly, never cutting corners. In the past, the simple little shop was always bustling. Neighbors would drop by after work or after walking their dogs, waiting for repairs and chatting casually, filling the small space with warm and lively atmosphere. However, as consumer attitudes change and fast fashion prevails, the traditional craft has gradually faded out of people’s sight. Most people now prefer buying new items rather than repairing old ones. Few residents are willing to spend time mending daily goods. The once busy shop has turned desolate. Thick dust accumulates on the wooden tool shelves, and the old sewing machine that used to buzz all day long falls silent for weeks. On a quiet cool afternoon, I passed by the shop and saw Uncle Chen sitting lonely in the dim light. Staring at his worn tools, he sighed helplessly and told me that he could barely afford the shop rent. Having no stable customers, he had no choice but to close the shop permanently. I was deeply touched and felt a strong sense of loss. This ordinary small shop has witnessed countless warm moments of our community and carries precious childhood memories for many of us. Refusing to let this warm neighborhood landmark disappear silently, I resolved to take practical action to help Uncle Chen revive his little shop. Without delay, I started to think of practical ways to help the old shop. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ My efforts soon attracted more and more neighbors to join in. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 试卷第1页,共3页 试卷第1页,共3页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 绝密★考试结束前 2027年高考第一次模拟考试 英语 (考试时间:120分钟 试卷满分:150分) 注意事项: 1. 1.Why is the man late? C.Over 97 million. 19.What does the Nicholas Sparks Foundation do? A.It helps poor kids get an education. B.It provides books for rural communities. C.It creates scholarships for gifted children. 20.What can we learn about Sparks? A.He lives a successful but lonely life. B.He thinks education has changed his life. C.All his books have been made into movies. 【答案】18.C 19.A 20.B 【原文】 Nicholas Sparks is an American author and storyteller whose books have consistently been turned into major Hollywood films. Although not all of his books were sold to Hollywood, all have been The New York Times best-sellers. He has sold over 97 million copies worldwide, with over 65 million of them within the United States alone. He lives with his family in North Carolina. He is also considered to be very generous with his money. In 2011, he created the Nicholas Sparks Foundation to make more opportunities available to children from poor families. His foundation, which he started with his wife, creates scholarships for children from low-income families in rural communities. Sparks has had a very successful career, and he owes that to education. “The education I received prepared me for the world I would be facing in the future,” he said. Even though he is worth an estimated 75 million dollars or so, Sparks seems to live the values he presents in his books. A Programs at Roger Williams Park Zoo & Carousel Village Join us in our living classroom! 根据第一段中“It was a Saturday afternoon, and I was rushing to the city library to return three books. The due date was that evening, and I knew I would be fined if I handed them in even one day late. (那是一个周六的下午,我正匆忙赶往市图书馆去还三本书。截止日期是那天晚上,我知道即使晚一天还也会被罚款)”可知,作者匆忙赶去图书馆是为了避免被罚款。 25.推理判断题。根据第二段中“I was already tight on time, and stopping to help might make me miss the library’s closing hour. For a moment, I told myself that someone else would stop, and that the man could wait for the bus inside the small shelter. But the image of his trembling shoulders stuck in my mind. I took a deep breath, turned around, and walked back toward him. (我已经时间很紧了,停下来帮忙可能会让我错过图书馆的闭馆时间。有那么一会儿,我告诉自己会有别人停下来的,而且那个人可以到小小的候车亭里等车。但他颤抖的双肩的画面却留在了我的脑海里。我深吸一口气,转身向他走去)”可推知,尽管作者赶时间,但还是决定停下来帮助老人,说明作者是一个热心肠的人。 26.细节理解题。根据第三段中“When the bus arrived, he waved with a bright smile before getting on. Standing in the rain, I felt a warm and soft feeling spread in my chest, even though I knew I would surely pay the fine now. (当公交车到达时,他带着灿烂的笑容挥手告别,然后上了车。站在雨中,我感到一股温暖而柔软的感觉在胸中弥漫开来,尽管我知道现在肯定要付逾期罚款了)”可知,帮助老人后作者感到温暖。 27.主旨大意题。根据最后一段中“Actually, true kindness does not require grand plans or much time. A ten-minute stop, a shared umbrella, or even a warm smile can light up someone’s dark day. In giving a little, we receive far more in return — a peaceful heart and the knowledge that we have made a difference, no matter how small.(事实上,真正的善意不需要宏大的计划或很多时间。十分钟的停留、一把共撑的伞,甚至一个温暖的微笑,都能照亮某人灰暗的一天。在付出一点点的同时,我们得到的回报却要多得多——一颗平静的心,以及我们曾带来改变的那份认知,无论这种改变有多么微小)”可知,本段主要说明小小的善举非常有意义。 C A new study offers fresh insight into how people assess the environmental impact of the foods they eat, and the results suggest many are getting it wrong. 根据第二段中“Researchers from the University of Nottingham’s School of Psychology asked 168 participants in the UK to sort a wide variety of supermarket foods into environmental impact categories of their own making.(诺丁汉大学心理学院的研究人员要求英国168名参与者将各种超市食品按自己设定的环境影响类别进行分类)”可知,研究人员希望了解参与者对食物生态成本的看法。 29. 根据第四段中“However, these assumptions sometimes belie reality. Many participants overestimated the environmental impact of processed foods while underestimating the impact of water-intensive products.(然而,这些假设有时会与现实belie。许多参与者高估了加工食品对环境的影响,却低估了高耗水产品的影响)”可知,许多参与者高估了加工食品对环境的影响,却低估了高耗水产品的影响,说明人们的假设与现实不符,即不匹配,所以划线单词的意思为“不匹配”。 30.细节理解题。 根据最后一段中“Environmental impact data on food products is opening up new possibilities for this research, and labels that give foods a single overall grade (such as A-E) could help make these comparisons easier for consumers, thus allowing people to make sustainable food choices.(食品的环境影响数据正在为这项研究开辟新的可能性,而那些为食品提供单一综合评级(如A-E)的标签,则有助于消费者更轻松地进行此类比较,从而让人们做出可持续的食品选择)”可知,消费者需要一个统一的评分系统来帮助比较。 31. 根据第一段中“These misunderstandings point to a clear need for simple environmental impact labels to help guide better choices.(这些误解表明,迫切需要简单的环境影响标签来帮助引导更好的选择)”以及全文内容可知,本文旨在通过介绍研究结果来呼吁推广食品生态标签。 D Mindfulness is such a hot word. A.Meditation Fixes Evolutionary Flaws B.A Wandering Mind Is Part of Our Evolution C.The Dangers of Overthinking in Modern Life D.The History of Neuroscience and Human Evolution 【答案】32.C 33.D 34.C 35.B 【导语】主要说明了正念备受推崇,但走神是人类进化而来的生存能力。 根据第二段“According to Michael Graziano, a professor of psychology and neuroscience, humans evolved to prioritize immediate threats. “Having your attention focused on external events happening in the moment is of great importance during “fight-or-flight” moments,” says Graziano. But the other side of it is also important: when our mind wanders, that, too, is essential to our survival, says Graziano.(根据心理学和神经科学教授迈克尔·格拉齐亚诺的说法,人类进化过程中倾向于优先关注眼前的威胁。“在‘战斗或逃跑’的时刻,将注意力集中在当下发生的外部事件上至关重要,”格拉齐亚诺表示。但他也指出,另一面同样重要:当我们的思绪游离时,这对我们生存而言也是必不可少的)”可知,作者在第二段提到“战斗或逃跑”是为了比较正念与走神的不同作用。 33.主旨大意题。根据第三段““It’s partly about remembering how to survive the saber tooth tiger (剑齿虎), but it might also be about social interactions. There are a lot of benefits to mind-wandering so long as you’re not doing it the moment a tiger is attacking you,” says Graziano. Often, when our minds wander, we’re thinking about past and future social interactions and how to conduct them. And this phenomenon isn’t by chance.(“这在一定程度上关乎如何记住如何躲避剑齿虎,但也可能与社会互动有关。 根据第一段“Mindfulness is such a hot word. We all want it. But while mindfulness may be credited as a key to happiness, mind-wandering is the key to our survival as a species.(正念如今是个热门词汇,人人都向往。 Our research shows that children and young people have enjoyed reading less and read less often for a long time. 上文“It is important to listen to what they really think about reading. (重要的是要倾听他们对于阅读的真实想法。)”指出倾听儿童和青少年真实看法的重要性,下文“In 2025, 58,398 young people aged 8 to 18 told us their opinions on reading in their free time. (在2025年,58398名年龄在8至18岁之间的年轻人向我们表达了他们对于空余时间阅读的看法。)”给出2025年的具体调研数据,因此C项“This helps us understand the reasons behind the main data. (这有助于我们理解主要数据背后的原因。)”符合语境,说明倾听看法对调研的作用,将倾听看法与数据收集联系起来,承上启下。 37.上文“Their words show the close connection among different reasons that influence whether they take part in reading. Feelings, thinking, behavior, social situations and environment affect different readers in different ways. (他们的话表明影响人们是否参与阅读的各种因素之间存在着紧密的联系。情感、思维、行为、社会环境以及外部条件会对不同的读者产生不同的影响。)”指出影响阅读的因素相互关联,且对不同读者影响方式不同,下文“Here is an introduction to them. (以下是关于它们的介绍。)”引出下一段对读者的分类说明,因此B项“Readers can therefore be divided into three major groups. (因此读者主要可分为三组。)”符合语境,承接上文的影响方式不同,引出下文对三类读者的描述。 38.下文“They have good reading habits, can choose what to read, and get support and encouragement from family, teachers and classmates. (他们有着良好的阅读习惯,能够自主选择阅读内容,并且能从家人、老师和同学那里获得支持与鼓励。)”介绍第一类读者的积极特征,因此E项“Keen readers think reading brings them joy, relaxation and peace. (热衷型读者认为阅读能带来快乐、放松与平静。)”符合语境,可作为该类读者的定义,与下一句衔接紧密,其中的Keen readers是下文They指代的对象。 39.上文“Ambivalent (矛盾的) readers have the weakest connection with reading. (矛盾型读者与阅读的联系最弱。)”概括矛盾型读者的特质,下文“Whether they enjoy reading depends much on conditions and can be easily influenced. (他们是否喜欢阅读很大程度上取决于环境因素,并且很容易受到这些因素的影响。)”继续说明他们易受外界因素影响,因此G项“They are influenced by both good and bad feelings at the same time. (他们同时受到积极和消极情绪的影响。)”符合语境,解释了这类读者联系最弱的原因,与上下文逻辑连贯,其中的They指代上文的Ambivalent readers。 40.上文完成对三类读者的分类描述,下文“At the same time, for all readers, the right to choose books, easy chances to read, good environments and no pressure are very important to their reading experience. In a word, the results show that we need proper ways to build a better reading culture to meet the needs of all children and young people. (同时,对于所有读者而言,选择书籍的权利、便捷的阅读机会、良好的阅读环境以及没有压力等因素,对他们的阅读体验来说都非常重要。总之,研究结果表明,我们需要采取适当的方法来构建更良好的阅读文化,以满足所有儿童和青少年的需求。)”转而提到影响阅读体验的其他因素,并呼吁针对需求采取适当措施,因此F项“In this case, we should use different ways to help different readers. (因此,我们应采用不同方式帮助不同读者。)”符合语境,总结上文分类的意义,与下一句形成并列,引出针对性的解决思路。 第三部分 语言运用(共两节,满分30分) 第一节 (共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分) 阅读下面短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。 On summer vacation in 2023, I felt it was time to get some real-world experience. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】    Without delay, I started to think of practical ways to help the old shop. I rolled up my sleeves, swept the dusty floor thoroughly and wiped the old sewing machine and tool shelf clean. I carefully tidied the messy needles, threads and small tools in good order. Using colorful paper, I designed simple but eye-catching posters to show all kinds of repair services. I also helped place some neatly mended shoes and bags outside as examples, hoping this warm old landmark could draw people’s attention again. My efforts soon attracted more and more neighbors to join in. Some brought their broken belongings for repair, while others stopped to chat with Uncle Chen just like before. Several warm-hearted residents shared the story of the old shop in the community group, calling on people to value and support traditional craftsmanship. Gradually, the quiet shop became lively and busy once more. Seeing the relieved smile return to Uncle Chen’s face, I truly realized that real warmth comes not from empty pity, but from active action. 词汇激活 行为类 展示:show/demonstrate 呼吁:call on/appeal to 意识到:realize/be aware of 情绪类 热心的:warm-hearted/enthusiastic 宽慰的:relieved /comforting 【点睛】[高分句型1] I also helped place some neatly mended shoes and bags outside as examples, hoping this warm old landmark could draw people’s attention again.
