In China, We often greet each other by asking “How are you?” or “Did you have your meal?”
We like to sit at round dining tables so we can talk to each other easily. We always let the elders or guests take seats first. We usually use cups, plates, bowls, spoons and chopsticks for dinner. The dishes are placed in the middle of the table.
Chinese people use chopsticks to eat. It’s not polite to stand your chopsticks in the rice, play with them, point at things with them, or drum them on the table.
It’s polite to finish all the food on the table and say “thank you” to the host.
