第三课时Grammar Focus(3a－3d) 1、 Teaching Objectives In this class，students will： 1．introduce their family members following the subject­verb agreement rules. 2．master the usage of auxiliary verbs “do” and “does”． 3．identify the ownership using ­'s. 2、 Teaching Advice Lead-in 1．Give students some declarative sentences and ask them to pick the correct ones.For example，Lingling has a younger brother./Lingling have a younger brother./Her mum cook dinner for the family every day./Her mum cooks dinner for the family every day. (详见优翼配套教学课件) 2．Present both correct and wrong sentences in a table，and guide students to observe and discuss why some sentences are wrong. (Because they don't follow the subject­verb agreement rules.) Explore the Grammar 3a 1．Have students read the sentences and circle the subjects and the verbs. 2．Ask students to observe and discuss how the verb forms change with the subjects，and then invite some students to share their answers. Grammar Rules ◆主谓一致原则 1．主谓一致是指谓语动词与主语在人称和数上保持一致，即主语的单复数决定谓语动词的单复数。一般来说，语法形式或意义上是单数的主语，谓语动词用单数形式；语法形式或意义上是复数的主语，谓语动词用复数形式。 语法形式或意义上是单数的主语，例如：He/She/It/Ms Li/The girl/Teng Fei's father/The cat/The book… E．g.The girl goes to school by subway. Ms Li teaches us Chinese. The cat sleeps on the couch. 语法形式或意义上是复数的主语，例如：We/They/You/Students/Teachers/My parents/These flowers… E.g. My parents walk every morning. We love our country. The students study very hard. 2.谓语动词的复数形式一般用动词原形来表示。谓语动词的单数第三人称形式书写规则如下： 通常在动词词尾加s works，helps，comes 以s，x，ch，sh结尾的动词，加es fixes，teaches，pushes 以辅音字母＋y结尾的动词，变y为i加es flies，cries，studies 助动词have的第三人称单数形式是has be动词的单数形式，在一般现在时和现在进行时中是am/is，过去时中是was 助动词do和does 助动词通常辅助主要动词表现时态、语态以及变成否定、疑问句结构等，它不能离开主要动词单独使用。除了主语是第三人称单数时用does，其余人称都用do。 助动词do和does的用法 1．助动词do和does帮助句子构成一般疑问句 结构：Do/Does＋主语＋动词原形＋其他？ E.g. Do your younger sisters have this book? Do they like dogs? Does your brother read books every day? 2．助动词do和does帮助句子构成否定句 结构：主语＋don't/doesn't＋动词原形＋其他． E.g. I don't like apples. I don't have any water. She doesn't like English. He doesn't play football today. 名词所有格 名词所有格是名词之间表示所有或所属关系的语法结构。它主要有两种形式：'s所有格和of所有格。's表示有生命物的名词所有格。's的读音规则和名词复数加s的读音规则基本相同。 1．单数名词词尾加's，复数名词词尾如果没有s，也要加's。例如： Peter's home，Tom's cap，women's smile，children's schoolbags等。 2．名词已有复数词尾s，词尾加'即可。例如： your parents' room，the kids' schoolbags等。 3．表示各自拥有时，每个名词的词尾都要加's。例如： Ella's and Emma's rooms，my sister's and brother's smartphones等。 4．表示共同拥有时，只需在最后一个名词词尾加's。例如： Ella and Emma's room，Tim and Tina's parents等。 5．表示无生命物的所有关系多用“of＋名词”结构。例如： the title of the novel，the window of the house等。 Grammar Exercises Practice The teacher guides students to practise sentence­making by replacing the subjects of the sentences in 3a.For example： Teng__Fei__and__his__grandpa play ping­pong every week.(Yaming) Teng__Fei's__grandpa loves sport.(Teng Fei and his grandpa) Do you play the piano？(your mother) Does your__father spend a lot of time fishing？(your parents) 3b 1．Ask students to read and complete the sentences with the correct possessive form ('s) of the words in brackets. 2．Invite different students to share their answers and check the answers with students. 3．Clarify the rules if needed. 3c 1．Have students read the passage and make sure they understand the meaning. 2．Let students complete the passage with the correct forms of the verbs in the box. 3．Check the answers by inviting one student to read his or her passage.Clarify the rules of subject­verb agreement if needed. 3d 1．Ask students to read the questions in 3d and make sure they know the purpose of this exercise. 2．Let students think about the answers to the questions about families and write them down. 3．Have students ask and answer questions about each other's family. 4．Invite some pairs of students to present their conversations for the class and give them feedback.
