第一课时 Section A(1a－2d) & Pronunciation 1、 Teaching Objectives In this class，students will： 1．greet others using phrases like “Hi” “Hello” and “Good morning”． 2．review the spelling and pronunciation of 26 letters. 3．learn and get the meanings of five short forms that they use a lot in their daily lives. 2、 Teaching Advice Get to Know Each Other It's the first English class in junior high school.Before the class，the teacher can play a game to help students get familiar with each other.Here are the steps： Step 1: Set a timer.Ask students to remember as many classmates' names as possible in 30 seconds.Praise the one who remembers the most names. Step 2：Play a song about greeting and ask students to sing together to greet each other. (歌曲见优翼配套教学课件) Lead-in 1a 1．Let students look at the picture in 1a and ask them what the students say to greet each other in the picture. 2．Encourage students to think about more greeting words or sentences they usually use or hear in their daily lives. 3．Have students look at the pictures of the main characters.Ask them to match their names with the faces. 4．Ask students if there is anything special about Ella and Emma.Guide them to find that Ella and Emma are twins. 1b Ask students to work in groups of four and greet each other using the words or sentences they have learned. Learn the Alphabet Letters 2a 1．Ask students to look at the alphabet letters and read by themselves.Correct students' pronunciation when necessary. 2．Let students listen to the recording and repeat the letters.Then，let them practise writing the letters.Review the correct strokes to write the 26 letters with students. 2b 1．Let students listen and circle the letters they hear in 2a. 2．Check the answers with the students. Pre-listening Look and Say 1．Have students look at the picture in 2c and ask them the questions. ◆Where are the students? ◆Who is the boy? ◆Who is the woman? 2．Let students skim the conversation and summarize what the students are doing.Then invite one student to share the answer. While-listening 2c 1．Have students read the sentences in the box.Ask them in what situation people use these sentences. 2．Let students listen to the three conversations and fill in the blanks with the correct sentences in the box. 3．Check the answers by inviting some students to read the conversations. Post-listening 2d 1．Ask students to make up a conversation to greet each other. 2．Invite some students to role­play the conversation. Pronunciation Exercise 1 1．Show students three pictures of a tablet computer，a laptop，and a desktop computer，and then ask students what they are. 2．Circle the keyboards on the pictures and ask students what they are.Teach the words “keyboard” and “keys” to students. 3．Encourage students to think in what situation they will use the keyboards.For example，they will use the keyboards when they do homework，play computer games，or chat with friends on WeChat or QQ. 4．Let students look at the keyboard picture in Exercise 1 and ask them what they can see on a keyboard.The teacher can introduce some frequently used keys (e.g.Ctrl，Alt，Enter) and remind students to notice that the 26 letters are in the wrong order on the keyboard. 5．Ask students to listen to the 26 letters，and find them on the keyboard.Then let students practise with a partner.The teacher can walk around the classroom to see if the students can finish this task smoothly. Exercise 4 Have students listen and sing the ABC song with the audio together. Summary Ask students to summarize what they have learned in this lesson. Teaching Reflection It's the first English lesson for the 7th graders.This lesson focused on greetings and the alphabet.The activities such as singing a greeting song and practising introductions helped students feel more comfortable and engaged.However，some students struggled with pronouncing certain letters and confidently using greeting expressions.To help them，I will include more pronunciation practice and support for them.Overall，this lesson met its goals，but adjustments are needed for better engagement and understanding. 学科网（北京）股份有限公司 $
