根据“But”及“Taliban took control”可知,塔利班反对女孩受教育,固定搭配forbid sb from doing sth意为禁止某人做某事。

Zhang Wei is a 32-year-old engineer from Shanghai. In 2020, he made a big decision—he left his well-paid job in the city and returned to his hometown in Gansu Province to start a new project.
Zhang Wei’s hometown is a small village in the mountains. When he was a child, the village was very poor. People used to farm on small pieces of land. There was no running water or electricity in many homes. Children had to walk over two hours to get to the nearest school.
After Zhang Wei finished college, he worked in Shanghai for eight years. During those years, he never forgot his hometown. He often thought about how to help the village develop. Finally, he decided to go back and bring changes.
Zhang Wei used his engineering skills to build a small factory that uses solar energy (太阳能). The factory produces machines that help farmers water their crops more efficiently. With these machines, farmers can save water and grow more vegetables. “In the past, farmers had to carry water from faraway rivers,” Zhang Wei said. “Now, our machines do the hard work.”
Over the past four years, the village has changed a lot. More than 50 families have started using solar energy in their homes. A new school has been built with the money from the factory. Young people who left the village are starting to come back to work in the new factory.
Zhang Wei feels proud of what he has done. “Development doesn’t mean everyone has to go to big cities,” he said. “We can also make our hometowns better with our knowledge and effort.”
46.What was Zhang Wei’s job before he returned to his hometown?
A.A teacher. B.A farmer. C.An engineer. D.A doctor.
47.Why did Zhang Wei decide to return to his hometown?
A.Because he lost his job in Shanghai.
B.Because he wanted to help the village develop.
C.Because his parents asked him to go back.
D.Because the village offered him more money.
48.How long has Zhang Wei been back in his hometown?
A.For about 2 years. B.For about 4 years.
C.For about 6 years. D.For about 8 years.
49.Which of the following words can best describe Zhang Wei?
A.Brave and humorous. B.Kind and creative.
C.Careful and quiet. D.Hard-working and generous.
50.What can we learn from the text?
A.Zhang Wei’s factory uses wind energy.

On the high mountains in Western Sichuan, 62-year-old Dr. An Du has walked more than 200,000 kilometers over the past 39 years, providing medical care for villagers in remote mountain areas. He is the only doctor for 8 small villages with more than 1200 people, and he has saved hundreds of lives.
Dr. An grew up in one of these mountain villages. When he was 23, the village needed a new doctor. He gave up the chance to work in a big city hospital and stayed. “All the villagers here know me, and I know every one of them. They need me, so I stay,” he said.
There are no roads connecting most of the villages. To see patients, Dr. An has to walk for hours up and down steep mountains.
Albert Einstein is considered one of the greatest scientists in human history. He was born in Germany in 1879. As a child, Einstein did not speak until he was three years old, and his parents were worried about his development. However, when he was five, his father gave him a compass, and he became fascinated by how the needle always pointed north. This experience made him curious about the mysteries of nature.
Throughout his life, Einstein held a strong belief that science could help people understand the world better. He was convinced that everything in the universe follows certain laws. His most famous theory, the theory of relativity, changed the way people think about time and space. Although the theory was difficult to understand at first, it later proved to be correct through many experiments.
Einstein was also a peace lover. He fought for human rights and spoke out against war. He once said, “Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding.” In his judgement, the most important thing in life was not personal success but making a positive impact on the world. Even though he faced many difficulties in his life, he never stopped seeking the truth.
In 1921, Einstein received the Nobel Prize in Physics. This was a significant milestone in his career. But he remained a modest and ordinary man in many ways. With this in mind, we can see that true greatness lies not in fame, but in the contribution one makes to humanity. Einstein passed away in 1955, but his ideas still influence people around the world.
71.When did Einstein become interested in the mysteries of nature?
72.What was Einstein convinced about the universe?
73.According to Einstein, how can peace be achieved?
74.What was the significant milestone in Einstein’s career mentioned in the passage?
75.What does the writer think true greatness lies in?
71. He became interested in the mysteries of nature when he was five (after his father gave him a compass). 72.He was convinced that everything in the universe follows certain laws.

75.True greatness lies in the contribution one makes to humanity (not in fame).

72.第二段第二句“He was convinced that everything in the universe follows certain laws.”
73.第三段爱因斯坦的原话“Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding.”
74.第四段第一、二句“In 1921, Einstein received the Nobel Prize in Physics. This was a significant milestone...” 答案需明确指出Nobel Prize in Physics和in 1921。
75.最后一段“With this in mind, we can see that true greatness lies not in fame, but in the contribution one makes to humanity.”

An Inspiring Person I Admire
There are many inspiring people around us. The person I admire most is Zhong Yang.
He was a great botanist. He devoted over 16 years to collecting wild plant seeds on the Qinghai‑Tibet Plateau. The living and working conditions were really terrible. Though he suffered from illness, he never gave up his research. He collected more than 40 million seeds for our country. He passed away in 2017, but his spirit lives on.
I am deeply moved by his perseverance and devotion. From him, I learn that we should stick to our goals and try our best to serve society. I will study harder and try to be a useful person in the future.

Throughout his life,Einstein held a strong belief that science could help people understand the world better.
He was convinced that everything in the universe follows certain laws. His most famous theory, the theory of
relativity, changed the way people think about time and space.Although the theory was difficult to understand at
first,it later proved to be correct through many experiments.
Einstein was also a peace lover. He fought for human rights and spoke out against war.He once said,
"Peace cannot be kept by force;it can only be achieved by understanding."In his judgement, the most important
thing in life was not personal success but making a positive impact on the world.Even though he faced many
difficulties in his life,he never stopped seeking the truth.
In 1921,Einstein received the Nobel Prize in Physics. This was a significant milestone in his career. But he
remained a modest and ordinary man in many ways. With this in mind,we can see that true greatness lies not in
