Step 3 Work on Activity 3 1.Ask students to read the book review carefully and complete the notes with the words and expressions from the passage. 2.Check the answers together.Explain key words and phrases. 3.Guide students to analyse the structure of the book review:introduction (title,writer,main characters),plot (key events),and comment (personal opinion). Step 4 Work on Activity 4 1.Divide students into groups to discuss the questions.Guide students to make inferences from the text,such as the meaning of “sixty cents of it was in pennies”. 2.Invite groups to share their ideas and comment on their answers. Step 5 Think and share 1.Ask students to discuss:“What is the surprise ending of the story?Do you like it?Do you agree with the writer’s comment on the story?Why or why not?” 2.Guide students to see things from different perspectives and express their own opinions freely.Emphasise that love is more valuable than money.
