Every autumn, birdwatchers visit Dalai Lake in Inner Mongolia. Many migratory birds stop there to rest and find food before continuing their long journey. The lake, reeds and nearby grassland provide different places for birds to feed and hide.
On a cool morning, a local guide took a small group to a viewing area before sunrise. She asked everyone to wear dull-colored clothes, speak softly and keep to the marked path. These simple actions reduce disturbance. The group used binoculars instead of walking closer to the water.
They saw flocks of ducks rise from the reeds and several swans moving across the lake. The guide recorded the time, weather and number of birds. She explained that one observation does not show a complete picture. Records from many days are more useful because wind, temperature and water level can all change bird activity.
Before leaving, the group collected their rubbish and checked that no one had dropped food near the shore. Birdwatching, the guide said, is not only about seeing rare birds. It is also about learning how to share a wetland quietly and responsibly.
根据短文内容,判断下列各题的正(T)误(F)。

37. The guide asked visitors to wear bright clothes near the lake.

Keeping Ulanqab Potatoes at Home
Ulanqab is well known for its potatoes. In autumn, many families buy a bag for winter meals. Potatoes can last much longer when they are stored in the right place. Choose firm potatoes without wet spots, cuts or green parts. Do not wash them before storage, because extra water may make them rot. Brush off dry soil if necessary.
Keep potatoes in a cool, dark and dry place with some air movement. A paper bag, a cloth bag or a basket is better than a sealed plastic bag. Light can make potatoes turn green. Green parts may taste bitter and should not be eaten.
Do not store potatoes beside onions. Onions give off gases and water that can make potatoes grow shoots or go bad more quickly. Do not make a very high pile, either. Air needs to move around the potatoes. Check them about once a week. Remove any soft or damaged ones, so that the problem does not spread to the rest.
If you have bought too many potatoes, plan several meals around them rather than cooking them all at once. A simple soup, baked potato or potato salad can use different amounts. Good storage and sensible planning help families waste less food.

For many older adults, a smartphone can make daily tasks easier, but the first steps may feel difficult. In a community center in Hohhot, a weekly ‘phone helper’ table gives older residents time to ask simple questions about mobile payment and online hospital registration.
The volunteers do not take people’s phones and complete everything for them. Instead, they ask each visitor what he or she wants to do. One resident wanted to pay for vegetables by phone. A volunteer first explained how to unlock the screen, open the payment app and check the shop name before confirming payment. Another resident needed to register for a doctor’s visit. Together, she and a volunteer chose a hospital department, selected an available time and saved the confirmation message.
Safety is an important part of every lesson. Volunteers remind visitors never to share passwords or code messages. They also show them how to check whether a link comes from an official service. If a step feels confusing, residents are encouraged to stop and ask a family member or return to the table another week.
After several visits, many residents can complete common tasks on their own. They say the most useful part is not just learning one button, but gaining confidence to read each screen slowly and decide whether something looks trustworthy. The table does not remove every digital difficulty, yet it gives people a patient place to learn at their own speed.
46. What is the main purpose of the ‘phone helper’ table?
A. To help older residents with daily phone tasks.
B. To repair broken screens.
C. To teach volunteers to use hospital computers.
D. To sell new smartphones.
47. What did the volunteer ask the resident to check before paying for vegetables?
A. A train ticket.
B. The weather report.
C. The shop name.
D. The vegetable price on paper.
48. What should residents never share?
A. Their hospital department.
B. Passwords or code messages.
C. Their appointment time.
D. Their family member’s name.
49. What does ‘trustworthy’ in Paragraph 4 most nearly mean?
A. Easy to forget.
B. Ready to change.
C. Full of color.
D. Worth believing.
50. Which is the best title for the passage?
A. A Patient Place to Cross the Digital Gap
B. How to Buy the Most Expensive Phone
C. Why Hospitals Should Close Online Registration
D. A Competition for Young Phone Users
