What kind of films will you ask the students to make?

Will you have any specific rules for the entries (e.g. theme, length, number of actors, language)?
The theme will be “inspiring stories from our school”.
The film must be made by the students themselves.
The students will work in teams. Each team member should have a different role (e.g. director, actor, cameraman).

Conversation 1
Simon: Right guys, time to film the next scene. Tasha and Ethan, are you both ready?
Tasha: Yes, but Simon, I feel silly in these glasses. They look ugly and the left side is broken.
Ethan: Don’t worry, Tasha! That’s part of the joke. You are a careless character—that’s what makes the scene funny.
Tasha: OK. I hope I don’t end up looking too silly.
Simon: Remember, it’s a comedy film, so the sillier, the better! Now Tasha, you are going to walk into the room carrying the cake. Everybody is waiting.
Tasha: OK. Then I’ll smile and greet everyone.
Simon: That’s right, Tasha. You expect that everyone will be happy with the cake ...
Ethan: I will stand up and come to help you with the cake. Then I’ll be surprised to see that the cake hasn’t been baked.
Simon: Alright, my little superstars, ready? And … action!
Tasha: Cake is coming, everyone!
Ethan: Emm ... You forgot to put the cake in the oven ... And what’s wrong with your glasses? [Sounds of everyone laughing loudly]
Ethan: Did you get that OK, Simon?
Simon: Yes, Ethan. It was perfect. We’ve finished filming, today!
Tasha: I looked really silly today, but it was fun anyway.
Simon: You are the greatest actress ever, Tasha!

Ethan: I’m pretty sure he hasn’t heard anything yet.
Tasha: Maybe he’ll hear it today.
Ethan: Perhaps. He seems to be very confident about it anyway! Hey, look, here he is now.
Ethan: Hi! Simon, you seem pretty pleased with yourself. I suppose your film has won a prize.
Simon: Well, maybe it has … Two, in fact!
Ethan: Two?
Tasha: Wow! Did you get the best director prize, then?
Simon: Well, no. But … I won the prize for best comedy film! And Tasha has won the prize for best actress! Congratulations, Tasha, and thank you guys!
Tasha: I can’t believe it!
Ethan: Ha! Hey, it was great fun.
