In the videos, we can see the robot preparing dishes, from cutting vegetables to cooking eggs. It’s also good at watering plants, taking care of pets, cleaning the floor and washing clothes. Linda, a housewife, joked, “As long as this thing doesn’t try to kill me, I am in real need of it.”
Well, another video may disappoint(使失望)her. Mobile Aloha carelessly broke plates, knocked over things and even burned(烧焦) a dish. In fact, Mobile Aloha isn’t good at doing housework on its own. Instead, it learns from human actions before doing housework. When the situation changes, it can’t work well

without a human “teaching” it.
“The robot can successfully move chairs 80 per cent of the time,” scientists said after they did more studies on it. For cooking dishes, it’s only 40 per cent. In short, it’s far from perfect. AI robots are good at tasks such as maths and playing chess, but they do worse than a one-year-old child when it comes to simple tasks like cleaning. And it’s the same for Mobile Aloha.
“Robots are not ready to take over(接管) the world,” the team said later.
