C篇
Many teenagers get pocket money from their parents every month, but not everyone knows how to manage it well. Good money management habits can help you learn to be independent and prepare for your future life.
The first step to good money management is to make a budget. Write down how much money you get each month, then divide it into different parts: necessary spending (such as school supplies and snacks), saving for future goals, and fun spending. For example, if you want to buy a new laptop that costs 3,000 yuan, you can plan to save 500 yuan every month for six months. That way, you will not run out of money before you reach your goal.
The second step is to develop good saving habits. Many people spend all their money as soon as they get it. A good rule is to save at least 10% of your pocket money every month. Put your savings in a separate bank account, and do not touch it unless you need it for your planned goal.
Finally, think twice before you buy something. Do you really need it, or do you just want it because your friends have it? Many teenagers buy cheap but useless things that they never use, and that is a waste of money. If you really want something expensive, wait a week before you buy it. You may find that you do not want it anymore after a week.
With good budgeting and saving habits, you can make your money work for you, instead of wasting it on things you do not need.
11. What is the first step to good money management according to the passage?
A. Opening a bank account. B. Making a budget.
C. Saving 10% of your money. D. Buying only necessary things.
12. What does the word "it" in Paragraph 2 refer to?
A. The new laptop. B. The money. C. Your goal. D. The plan.
13. What good saving habit does the writer suggest?
A. Save all of your pocket money every month.
B. Put your savings in a separate bank account.
C. Spend all your money before the end of the month.
D. Only save money when you want to buy something expensive.
14. Why does the writer advise waiting a week before buying something expensive?
A. Because you can get it at a lower price after a week.
B. Because you can ask your friends for advice about it.
C. Because you may find you don't really want it anymore.
D. Because you can save enough money for it in a week.
15. What is the best title for this passage?
A. How to Get More Pocket Money
B. Teenagers and Better Money Management
C. The Importance of Saving Money for Future
D. Think Twice Before You Buy New Things

Pandas are one of the most famous endangered animals in the world. For many years, Chinese scientists have worked hard to protect pandas and their living environment. Thanks to these efforts, pandas were removed from the endangered species list in 2021, but they still face new challenges today.
Pandas mainly live in bamboo forests in the mountains of Southwest China. Bamboo makes up 99% of their daily diet, and they need to eat 12 to 18 kilograms of bamboo every day. In recent years, climate change has affected the growth of bamboo. Higher temperatures have caused some bamboo forests to move to higher areas of the mountains, which leaves less living space for pandas.
To solve this problem, environmental organisations are working on several projects. One important project is to plant more bamboo that can grow well in warmer temperatures. Another project is to build "green corridors" that connect separate panda habitats. These corridors allow pandas to move safely from one forest to another, which helps them find more bamboo and mate with other pandas from different groups. This improves the pandas' genetic diversity and makes the population healthier.
The protection of pandas shows us the importance of keeping ecological balance. When we protect pandas and their homes, we are also protecting many other plants and animals that share the same ecosystem. "Panda protection is not just about saving one animal," says scientist Wang Yong. "It is about keeping the whole natural system healthy for all living things, including humans."
Today, more than 1,800 pandas live in the wild in China. With continuous protection efforts, this lovely species will have a safer and brighter future.

A. To plant more bamboo for pandas to eat.

A. Pandas are no longer in any danger now.
B. Bamboo makes up about half of pandas' diet.
C. Protecting pandas also helps other living things.
D. All pandas live in zoos across China now.
20. What is the writer's attitude towards pandas' future?

In 1995, scientists brought wolves back to Yellowstone. ___23___ Slowly, the number of elk dropped and the trees grew back. Beavers returned and built new dams. Birds started coming back to the riverside too. ___24___ Even the rivers changed: more grass held the soil in place, and the water became clearer. A Teenager Hero in My Eyes
When talking about heroes, many people think of famous scientists or great leaders. In my eyes, a 16-year-old girl named Wang Siqi is a real hero.
Wang Siqi lives in a mountain village in southwest China. When her village became a tourist spot for archaeologists working on nearby ancient ruins, she volunteered to be a guide for foreign visitors. She spent three months learning English and historical knowledge about the site, even though she had to finish her schoolwork at the same time. Her introduction helped visitors learn more about our cultural relics, and she fell in love with historical protection herself.
Wang Siqi is fearless to take on challenges and selfless to serve her hometown. I admire her love for our cultural heritage and her sense of responsibility as a teenager. As a middle school student, I should learn from her. I will work harder to improve myself, and try my best to do something useful for our society when I get the chance.

16-year-old Lin Xiaoyu is a high school student from Chengdu, Sichuan. Two years ago, she joined a local volunteer group that teaches visitors about cultural heritage protection. Every weekend, she spends two hours as a guide at the nearby traditional pottery village.
The pottery village has a 600-year history of making blue and white pottery. Many of the local potters are elderly, and few young people used to know how to introduce their works to visitors.
D篇
16. When were pandas removed from the endangered species list?
A. In 2021. B. In 2012. C. In 2020. D. In 2026.
17. What new challenge do pandas face today?
A. They do not have enough bamboo to eat.
B. Climate change reduces their living space.
C. There are too few pandas in the wild.
D. Many separate panda habitats are connected.
18. What is the purpose of "green corridors"?
A. To plant more bamboo for pandas to eat.
B. To keep pandas away from human villages.
C. To allow pandas to move between different habitats.
D. To help scientists watch pandas more easily.
19. What can we learn from the passage?
A. Pandas are no longer in any danger now.
B. Bamboo makes up about half of pandas' diet.
C. Protecting pandas also helps other living things.
D. All pandas live in zoos across China now.
20. What is the writer's attitude towards pandas' future?
A. Worried. B. Uncertain. C. Hopeful. D. Negative.
