C A Poster for Mother's Day
Last week, our teacher asked us to make a poster for a festival. I chose Mother's Day because I wanted to show my love for my mother.
I started by drawing a big heart on the poster. Inside the heart, I wrote "Happy Mother's Day" in colorful letters. Then I put the date of Mother's Day — the second Sunday in May. I also wrote some facts about Mother's Day. It started in the United States and people all over the world now celebrate it.
For the main activities, I drew pictures of flowers and gifts. I wrote that people usually give flowers, chocolates, and cards to their mothers. Some people also take their mothers out for a special meal. I also wrote a short poem for my mother on the poster.
When I showed the poster to my classmates, they all liked it. My teacher said it was very creative. I gave the poster to my mother on Mother's Day. She was so happy that she had tears in her eyes. She said it was the best gift she had ever received.
Making this poster made me realize that festivals are not just about traditions. They are about expressing love and appreciation to the people we care about.
