Lead-in T shows the big picture of this unit and gives them the final task. Show some pictures of animals to the Ss, and ask them to choose an animal that interests them most. Step 2 Pre-task Think about what makes this animal unique. Make a profile of an animal. 1.Ask the Ss to work in groups to search for information about different animals and take a group vote to decide on the animal for their profiles according to the following questions. (1)Which animals are amazing? (2)Which animals need our help? (3)Which animals help humans? Work in groups and discuss: “ Are there any other amazing animals, helpful animals and animals in need in the world?”. Try to list them. What else can you mention to introduce an animal? 2. Ask the Ss to organise their ideas with the help of the following outline and make the profile.Ask them to use the following language tips or find useful expressions or sentences from this unit.
