B In a quiet hillside village on the outskirts of Qingdao, Shandong province, an unlikely group of actors has turned everyday rural life into a hot topic online. Last September, more than 20 villagers from Beiliangjia village in the Qingdao West Coast New Area, none with any previous acting experience, gathered to film a micro-drama series — using nothing more than a smartphone. Within two weeks of its launch on Chinese social media platforms, the series received more than 250 million views. The figure eventually climbed to 370 million and made it into the top three of trending dramas on the short-video platform Douyin. Titled Hua Kai Shi Shang — literally Blooming on the Rocks — the series centers on a young woman who marries into a struggling household that includes three unmarried brothers. Through resilience and ingenuity, she gradually helps the family overcome hardship to build a happier life. The micro-drama series was initially aimed at helping the village sell local produce, such as chestnuts and sweet potatoes. Ding Zhaoting, a local who has experience developing social media accounts and livestream sales for farmers, realized that a typical promotional account might struggle to gain traction (关注) in a village with mostly older residents. Instead, he proposed telling rural stories with the villagers playing themselves. The sudden popularity also put Beiliangjia on the map. Viewers flooded online comment sections, asking where they could buy the chestnuts, wild mushrooms and other produce featured in the series. According to Zhang, the village Party chief, from September to December last year, the village’s collective income rose by about 500,000 yuan ($72,000). A new vermicelli processing workshop has since opened and secured orders worth 50,000 yuan. So far, the unexpected success of Beiliangjia village’s micro-dramas has made it home to some 1,200 film and television companies. The model of using the productions to promote rural products is also spreading to more villages across the district. 24.What do we know about Hua Kai Shi Shang? A.It was professionally filmed. B.It features mainly elderly villagers. C.It tells a story of rising from poverty. D.It originated from an online hot topic. 25.Why was the micro-drama series originally filmed? A.To promote the village. B.To entertain viewers across the country. C.To enrich the villagers’ daily life. D.To help sell the village’s local products. 26.What impact did the micro-drama series bring to the village? A.It attracted tourists to the village. B.It boosted the village’s economy and fame. C.It encouraged young people to return. D.It provided jobs for some elderly residents. 27.What does the success of Beiliangjia village imply? A.Short dramas drive rural vitalization. B.Smartphones reshape rural life. C.Local creativity sells village products. D.Technology creates rural opportunities. C Like many dieters, have you ever avoided watching food videos online? Are you afraid that photos of desserts will fuel your hunger? Do you stay away from food accounts at night? Of course, that’s what conventional dieting wisdom has always suggested. But a new study published in Computers in Human Behavior flips that advice on its head. Researchers found evidence for what they call “cross-modal satiation (跨模态饱腹感)”, a process in which simply watching videos of tasty but unhealthy food may weaken people’s desire to eat, even without taking a single bite. The researchers conducted three related experiments using both healthy and unhealthy food videos. In the first experiment, participants were divided into groups based on whether they were on a diet. Dieters clicked on more unhealthy food clips while non-dieters showed no preference either way. The second experiment dug into why. After measuring each person’s tendency to suppress (抑制) food-related thoughts, they found that people with stronger self-control over food thoughts were more attracted to unhealthy food videos. It’s a common psychological reaction — the more people tried not to think about chocolate cake, the more they wanted to watch videos about it. In the third experiment, participants were randomly assigned to either hold back food-related thoughts or freely think about high-calorie food. Then they looked at the food videos. As they left the lab, they could take chocolate bars. The result showed those who suppressed thoughts about unhealthy desserts picked up fewer chocolates. In other words, they seemed to have less desire to eat after viewing the dessert food videos, just like “getting full by sight”. These findings suggest that dieting apps may show attractive food photos to weaken users’ appetite, instead of restricting their exposure to food videos. However, the research mainly focused on participants’ reactions to chocolate. Even so, the findings offer guidance to people who want to lose weight. The screen might be doing some of the work that a plate would have done. 28.Why does the author raise questions in paragraph 1? A.To attract readers’ attention. B.To test readers’ knowledge. C.To invite readers to answer. D.To express some doubts. 29.How does “cross-modal satiation” work according to the research? A.Eating after viewing satisfies hunger. B.Avoiding food videos increases appetite. C.Thinking about food increases consumption. D.Viewing junk food videos reduces appetite. 30.What can be inferred from the last paragraph? A.Apps ensure weight loss. B.More studies are needed. C.The evidence is conclusive. D.Food videos increase appetite. 31.What is the best title of the text? A.Focusing on Health, Not on Food B.Relying on Apps, Not on Diets C.Feeding on Screens, Not on Plates D.Dieting on Discipline, Not on Videos D For centuries, it was believed that the production of oxygen relied on photosynthesis Plants use sunlight to turn CO2 into oxygen, as we all know. However, the discovery of dark oxygen produced in environments with little or no sunlight challenges this long-held assumption. In 2013, Scottish scientist Andrew made this discovery by accident while conducting deep-sea mining research. He measured rising levels of oxygen as he went deeper. He could not help thinking his measuring devices were incorrect and dismissed the reading entirely, as he assumed the only way to produce oxygen was through photosynthesis. With no light source, it seemed impossible that oxygen could exist on the deep seabed, one of the coldest and darkest places on the Earth. However, over the last 10 years, Andrew’s team have been conducting more marine experiments. They enclosed a section of the seabed within a space and measured the oxygen levels over time. They also expected a reduction in the levels of oxygen due to consumption by organisms However, oxygen levels consistently increased, proving that oxygen was being produced in the dark depths of the ocean. In fact, in some experiments, oxygen levels rose to more than three times the background concentration. One potential explanation for the increased oxygen levels is the existence of polymetallic nodules (多金属结核), which use an electric charge to split water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen. This could revolutionize deep-sea mining primarily because these polymetallic nodules contain metals which are essential for everyday life, especially for batteries. Mining companies view the metals as a new, highly sought-after resource. However, the production of this dark oxygen may be vital for deep-sea ecosystems, yet disturbing this process could be harmful to species relying on it. Hence, it is wise to take caution and properly weigh the costs and benefits of deep-sea mining. “This discovery tells us that nature still has countless secrets to explore,” said Andrew. 32.Why did Andrew first dismiss his discovery in 2013? A.His team lacked enough funding. B.His equipment stopped working. C.It went against accepted science. D.It was made in a wrong season. 33.How did Andrew’s team prove oxygen production in the deep sea? A.By using a new larger research ship. B.By adding more CO2 to the water samples. C.By removing part of the sea creatures. D.By tracking oxygen shifts in an enclosed area. 34.What does the underlined word “sought-after” in paragraph 4 probably mean? A.Completely useless. B.Widely popular. C.Easily produced. D.Environmentally friendly. 35.What is Andrew’s attitude towards the discovery of dark oxygen? A.He finds it a proof of nature’s mysteries. B.He considers it a danger to sea species. C.He doubts its value for further research. D.He thinks it a reminder to limit mining. Nowadays, countless people choose to set up video accounts on social media platforms like TikTok, WeChat and REDnote to record daily life, share personal thoughts and develop individual hobbies. In an early scene from this drama, a policewoman and a mountain patroller (巡逻者) stop their truck in the deep night, fearing they might have caused an 58 (occasion) conflict with a Tibetan antelope. But 59 greets their eyes shocks them — a herd of antelopes lies killed, their bodies scattered across the frozen ground. Suddenly the headlight s from half a dozen trucks come to life, their beams cutting through the night. Guns 60 (raise), poachers surround them. 61 gunshots ringing out, the patroller collapses into a pool of blood. This program was inspired by the real-life stories of environmental defenders Sonam Dargye and his brother-in-law Drakpa Dorje. Sonam Dargye, 62 ethnic Tibetan, returned to his hometown to work as a county official. It was the first time that he 63 (organize) China’s armed anti-poaching team in 1992. She was announcing the school’s donation campaign, calling on all students to prepare meaningful gifts for the kids at Yunling Primary School in western China before the end of the month. After finishing the announcement, Lily ended the broadcast. Leaning back in her chair, she sank into deep thought. “What can I give them?” she asked herself. She pictured children living in remote western areas and wondered what they truly needed. Toys and storybooks were nice yet far too common. She thought hard but came up with nothing suitable. She grew upset, fearing she would never think of a unique present. When her hand accidentally brushed against the microphone, an idea struck her — her voice! Yes, her voice. She had a sweet voice, was skilled at reading aloud, and could bring stories to life vividly. Besides, she spoke fluent English and could tell English stories in a lively way. “That’s the perfect gift!” Lily jumped with joy and shared her idea with the other members of the school radio station. All of them liked the idea. They quickly formed a recording team, with some recording Chinese stories and others English ones. In the following days, Lily and her teammates devoted themselves fully to the task. They carefully selected warm, uplifting Chinese and English stories about growth, including inspiring tales of hardworking dream chasers and gentle classic stories that encourage bravery and perseverance (毅力). They practiced repeatedly, correcting each other’s pronunciation and refining every detail. After days of hard work, they completed all the recordings. Since the files were too large to send through WeChat, they copied them to a USB drive (U盘) and mailed it to Yunling Primary School along with other students’ gifts. I recommend high-speed trains and mobile payment as the most representative materials for your video. I often travel by high-speed train. It's incredibly fast and convenient, cutting travel time significantly. Once I went from my city to another far-away one in just a few hours. Mobile payment is also a game-changer, which simplifies transactions and makes life easier. I use it daily, whether buying snacks or paying for bus rides. These two aspects truly showcase China's rapid development. Best regards, Li Ming 第二节 (满分25分) A month later, the radio station received a parcel containing the same USB and a letter. It was a reply from the kids at Yunling Primary School. Lily opened the letter excitedly, which said they were totally fascinated by the vivid Chinese and English stories. The school played the recordings during breaks every day. The sweet voices not only brightened their spare time but also encouraged them to be more confident and passionate about learning. To show their sincere gratitude, the children recorded cheerful original songs and saved them on the USB. Listening to the kids’ songs on the USB, Lily and her teammates felt deeply touched. The simple and sincere melodies warmed their hearts greatly. They soon broadcast the beautiful songs over the school radio. Warm smiles appeared on every student’s face as the music spread across the campus. This special gift built a precious bond between the two schools. It taught everyone that small kindness can bridge distant places and pass on endless warmth and love. 1.When does the conversation take place? M: Yeah, actually there is a method that is inexpensive and has immediate benefits. If we shine lights down at the ground instead of up into the sky and use lower brightness levels, we can preserve the beauty of the night sky. 11.Why does the man want to interview Shakespeare? 根据第四段“Titled Hua Kai Shi Shang — literally Blooming on the Rocks — the series centers on a young woman who marries into a struggling household that includes three unmarried brothers. Through resilience and ingenuity, she gradually helps the family overcome hardship to build a happier life. (该剧名为《花开石上》——字面意思是“在岩石上绽放”——讲述了一位年轻女子嫁入一个包含三个未婚兄弟的贫困家庭的经历。通过坚韧和机智,她逐渐帮助这个家庭克服困难,建立更幸福的生活。)”可知,这部剧讲述了一个脱贫致富的故事。 25.细节理解题。根据第五段“The micro-drama series was initially aimed at helping the village sell local produce, such as chestnuts and sweet potatoes. (这部微短剧系列最初旨在帮助村庄销售当地农产品,如栗子和红薯。)”可知,拍摄微短剧最初是为了帮助销售村里的农产品。 26.细节理解题。根据第六段“The sudden popularity also put Beiliangjia on the map. (突然的走红也让北梁家村名声大噪。)”以及第七段“According to Zhang, the village Party chief, from September to December last year, the village’s collective income rose by about 500,000 yuan (72,000). A new vermicelli processing workshop has since opened and secured orders worth 50,000 yuan. (据村党支部书记张介绍,从去年9月到12月,村集体收入增长了约50万元(7.2万美元)。此后,一家新的粉条加工厂开业并获得了价值5万元的订单。)”可知,微短剧提升了村庄的知名度和经济收入。 27.推理判断题。根据最后一段“So far, the unexpected success of Beiliangjia village’s micro-dramas has made it home to some 1,200 film and television companies. The model of using the productions to promote rural products is also spreading to more villages across the district. A.Focusing on Health, Not on Food B.Relying on Apps, Not on Diets C.Feeding on Screens, Not on Plates D.Dieting on Discipline, Not on Videos 【答案】28.A 29.D 30.B 31.C 【导语】本文主要介绍的是一项关于观看不健康食物视频可能产生饱腹感从而降低进食欲望的研究发现。 【详解】28.推理判断题。根据第一段“Like many dieters, have you ever avoided watching food videos online? Are you afraid that photos of desserts will fuel your hunger? Do you stay away from food accounts at night? (像许多节食者一样,你是否曾经避免在网上观看食物视频?你是否担心甜点的照片会助长你的饥饿感?你在晚上会远离食物账号吗?)”可知,作者通过提出这些问题来吸引读者的注意力,进而引出下文的研究发现。 29.细节理解题。根据第二段“Researchers found evidence for what they call ‘cross-modal satiation (跨模态饱腹感)’, a process in which simply watching videos of tasty but unhealthy food may weaken people’s desire to eat, even without taking a single bite. (研究人员发现了他们称之为‘跨模态饱腹感’的证据,这是一个仅观看美味但不健康食物的视频就可能削弱人们进食欲望的过程,即使一口都没吃。)”可知,跨模态饱腹感是指观看垃圾食品视频会降低人们的食欲。 30.推理判断题。根据最后一段“However, the research mainly focused on participants’ reactions to chocolate. (然而,这项研究主要关注参与者对巧克力的反应。)”可知,由于该研究范围主要局限于巧克力,因此还需要更多的研究来进一步验证这一发现。 31.主旨大意题。根据第二段“Researchers found evidence for what they call ‘cross-modal satiation (跨模态饱腹感)’, a process in which simply watching videos of tasty but unhealthy food may weaken people’s desire to eat, even without taking a single bite. (研究人员发现了他们称之为‘跨模态饱腹感’的证据,这是一个仅观看美味但不健康食物的视频就可能削弱人们进食欲望的过程,即使一口都没吃。)”和最后一段“The screen might be doing some of the work that a plate would have done. (屏幕可能正在做一些盘子本会做的工作。)”可知,本文主要介绍的是观看食物视频可能像真正进食一样产生饱腹感,C项最能概括这一核心主旨。 D For centuries, it was believed that the production of oxygen relied on photosynthesis (光合作用). Plants use sunlight to turn CO2 into oxygen, as we all know. They also expected a reduction in the levels of oxygen due to consumption by organisms (生物、有机体). However, oxygen levels consistently increased, proving that oxygen was being produced in the dark depths of the ocean. 【答案】32.C 33.D 34.B 35.A 【导语】文章主要介绍了“暗氧”的发现,这一发现挑战了氧气只能通过光合作用产生的传统观念,并探讨了其对深海采矿的启示。 【详解】32.细节理解题。根据第二段中“In 2013, Scottish scientist Andrew made this discovery by accident while conducting deep-sea mining research. He measured rising levels of oxygen as he went deeper. He could not help thinking his measuring devices were incorrect and dismissed the reading entirely, as he assumed the only way to produce oxygen was through photosynthesis. (2013年,苏格兰科学家安德鲁在进行深海采矿研究时偶然发现了这一点。他测量到,随着他下潜越深,氧气水平不断上升。他不禁认为自己的测量仪器有误,并完全否定了这一读数,因为他认为产生氧气的唯一途径是光合作用)”可知,Andrew最初无视他的发现是因为它与公认的科学相悖。 33.细节理解题。根据第三段中“They enclosed a section of the seabed within a space and measured the oxygen levels over time. They also expected a reduction in the levels of oxygen due to consumption by organisms (生物、有机体). However, oxygen levels consistently increased, proving that oxygen was being produced in the dark depths of the ocean. (他们将一片海床区域封闭在一个空间内,并定时测量氧气水平。他们原本预期,由于微生物的消耗,氧气水平会下降。然而,氧气水平却持续上升,证明在黑暗的海洋深处正在产生氧气)”可知,Andrew的团队通过追踪封闭区域内氧气的变化来证明深海中的氧气产生。 34.词句猜测题。根据第四段中“This could revolutionize deep-sea mining primarily because these polymetallic nodules contain metals which are essential for everyday life, especially for batteries. Mining companies view the metals as a new, highly sought-after resource.(这可能从根本上改变深海采矿的现状,主要是因为这些多金属结核含有日常生活中必不可少的金属,尤其是用于制造电池的金属。矿业公司将这些金属视为一种新的、备受sought-after的资源)”可知,这些金属在日常生活中必不可少,尤其对电池制造至关重要,是被追捧的的资源;故sought-after意为“受欢迎的;被追捧的”,与“Widely popular”同义。 35.推理判断题。根据最后一段中Andrew的话“This discovery tells us that nature still has countless secrets to explore (这一发现告诉我们,大自然仍有无数秘密等待探索)”可知,Andrew认为这一发现是大自然神秘性的证明。 第二节(共5小题:每小题2. 5分, 满分12. 5分) 阅读下面短文, 从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 Nowadays, countless people choose to set up video accounts on social media platforms like TikTok, WeChat and REDnote to record daily life, share personal thoughts and develop individual hobbies. They waited anxiously, hoping this special gift would bring warmth and joy to those children. 注意: (1)续写词数应为150个左右; (2)请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 A month later, the radio station received a parcel containing the same USB and a letter. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Listening to the kids’ songs on the USB, Lily and her teammates felt deeply touched. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】参考答案: A month later, the radio station received a parcel containing the same USB and a letter. 词汇激活 行为类 ① 被吸引:be fascinated/be attracted/be drawn to ② 播放:play/broadcast ③ 传递:pass on/convey/spread 情绪类 ① 感激:gratitude/appreciation/thankfulness ② 温暖的:warm/heartwarming/tender 【点睛】[高分句型1].
