Today we have Doctor Baker with us in the studio and he is going to give us several tips for getting a good night’s sleep. Welcome to the show, Doctor Baker. M: Thank you. It’s great to be here. Let’s start with tip one. Don’t go to bed with the television on. Some people think they can sleep well with the TV on, but the noise and lights mean you don’t really sleep well, so turn it off! W: That’s right, and the next tip? M: Don’t think too much before bedtime. Do your hardest homework earlier in the evening. Do easier homework later. If your brain is too busy and full of ideas it takes longer to get to sleep. W: That sounds quite reasonable. Any others? M: Don’t play video games for an hour before you go to sleep. They also make your brain too busy and active. W: I can’t agree more. I used to play video games and stayed up late, which made me feel tired the next day. M: That’s really bad. In addition, turn off your cell phone and keep it out of reach when you go to bed. What is so important that it can’t wait until the morning? If possible, leave your phone in another room. W: Thank you, Doctor. That is very useful advice for our young listeners. 17. What is probably the woman? A. A teacher. B. A journalist. C. An athlete. 18. Though there’s pressure to meet deadlines, life here is never boring. W: What’s been hard about being an Indianan basketball player? M: Well, the training is very competitive, weightlifting and running every day. It’s not like high school. In high school, I really didn’t have to do that. I’m just trying to get used to it. And I think I am. W: At this point, how do you see yourself fitting into this group? M: I think we’re all different. George is from Britain. Chris and Leo are from Australia. I’m from France. And the rest are Americans. But I get along with everybody. You know, we are really starting to bond. It’s great to see how we grow each day as a team. W: Thanks, Victor. I wish you a very happy and fruitful stay in Indiana. A London has more to explore beyond the British Museum! Now, get stuck into some small, specialized museums. The Fan Museum To be the most fan-tastic of all London museums, Greenwich’s Fan Museum has an obvious head start. The collection dates back to the tenth century and the displays change throughout the year. According to the Victorian “language of fans”, drawing a fan across the cheek means “I love you”. Practice it, because it’ll be your preferred method of communication. Grant Museum of Zoology Be warned: UCL’s museum of zoology isn’t for the faint of heart. The bones of an elephant head and a mole (鼹鼠) jaw are among the exhibits that discourage a total chicken. Your hair stands on end, yes, but you’ll learn some fascinating stuff here. It’s the Noah’s Ark equivalent (等同物) of London’s numerous medical museums. The Magic Circle If you’ve got a trick or two up your sleeve, this is the right place. Located at the Magic Circle Headquarters in Euston, its prized possessions include Harry Houdini’s handcuffs (手铐) and the belongings of legendary magician Jean Eugene Robert-Houdin. Sadly, you can’t explore it whenever you please — it can only be visited as part of a public event. The Cinema Museum This Kennington museum only opens its doors for guided tours if you book in advance. But believe us, it’s worth all the trouble. There’s a great collection of posters, projectors, cinema carpets, fan magazines and souvenirs, plus more than 17 million feet of film on exhibition. 21. Which museum is a bit scary? A. The Fan Museum. B. Grant Museum of Zoology. C. The Magic Circle. D. The Cinema Museum. 22. What do The Magic Circle and The Cinema Museum have in common? A. They share a romantic theme. B. They set restrictions on visits. C. They operate on souvenir sales. D. They refresh exhibits frequently. 23. Where is this text probably taken from? A. A travel journal. B. A history textbook. C. A tourist magazine. D. A historical document. B 22. B 23. 根据Grant Museum of Zoology部分中“Be warned: UCL’s museum of zoology isn’t for the faint of heart. (请注意:伦敦大学学院的动物学博物馆不适合胆小的人。)”可知,Grant Museum of Zoology有点吓人。 根据The Magic Circle部分中“Sadly, you can’t explore it whenever you please — it can only be visited as part of a public event. (遗憾的是,你不能随心所欲地探索它——它只能作为公共活动的一部分被参观。)”以及The Cinema Museum部分中“This Kennington museum only opens its doors for guided tours if you book in advance. (这家肯宁顿博物馆只有提前预订才能提供导游服务。)”可知,The Magic Circle和The Cinema Museum的共同之处是它们对参观有限制。 通读全文,尤其是根据第一段“London has more to explore beyond the British Museum! Now, get stuck into some small, specialized museums. (伦敦除了大英博物馆之外还有更多值得探索的地方!现在,让我们深入了解一些小型专业博物馆。)”可知,文章主要介绍了伦敦除大英博物馆外值得一探的小型专业博物馆。可推知,文章可能选自一本旅游杂志。 B You are sitting on a crowded subway train. An old woman boards and looks tired. Would you offer her your seat? Most people believe kindness comes from within. A study published in Nature suggests the answer may depend less on your personality than you think — and surprisingly, on whether a superhero is nearby. On the Milan subway, a research team designed a clever field experiment. They organized 138 separate rides. In each ride, a female experimenter, appearing pregnant (怀孕的), entered the subway car and stood near the seats. Meanwhile, an observer recorded whether any passenger offered her a seat. In the control condition, the pregnant-looking woman travelled alone. But in 68 of the rides — the experimental condition — something unusual happened: a man in a full Batman costume stepped through a different door and stood nearby, without doing anything else. The difference between the two conditions was striking. When “Batman” was present, 67.21% of the targeted passengers gave up their seats — almost twice as many as the 37.66% in the normal control condition. Statistical analysis confirmed that the effect was highly unlikely to have occurred by chance. Even more fascinating was what the researchers discovered when they interviewed passengers after the rides. Of those who offered their seats in the presence of “Batman”, 44% reported having never noticed the superhero at all. They had no conscious memory of seeing him, yet their behavior changed anyway. Why would a superhero costume — though unnoticed by some — make people more helpful? The researchers theorize that unexpected events break the monotony (单调) of daily routine, heightening people’s awareness of their surroundings. This heightened awareness makes passengers more sensitive to the needs of others around them. In other words, kindness can be started not only by internal values but also by small disturbances in the external environment — disturbances so small that our conscious mind fails to register them. The study offers a hopeful message for communities seeking to encourage prosocial (亲社会的) behavior. Expensive campaigns may not be necessary. Sometimes, a little surprise is all it takes. 24. How does the author introduce the topic? A. By telling a story. B. By raising a question. C. By listing some research results. D. By comparing different opinions. 25. What can be inferred from paragraph 4? A. Daily routine can reduce people’s attention to others. B. Superheroes set an example of helping others. C. People tend to be cold to strangers on trains. D. Internal values decide people’s behavior. 26. What is the significance of the study to communities? A. It offers a new way to encourage helpful behavior. B. It shows costly public campaigns are irreplaceable. C. It enhances people’s awareness of protecting the weak. D. It suggests subway staff should call on people to volunteer. 27. What is the best title for the text? A. Surprises Change Daily Life B. Effective Ways to Encourage Kindness C. The Importance of Inner Personality D. A Superhero Influences Others’ Kindness 【答案】24. B 25. A 26. A 27. 根据第一段“You are sitting on a crowded subway train. An old woman boards and looks tired. Would you offer her your seat? Most people believe kindness comes from within.(你正坐在一辆拥挤的地铁上,一位老妇人上了车,看起来疲惫不堪。你会主动让座给她吗?大多数人认为善良源于内心)”可知,作者通过提出一个情境性问题引入话题。 【25题详解】 推理判断题。根据第四段“The researchers theorize that unexpected events break the monotony (单调) of daily routine, heightening people’s awareness of their surroundings. This heightened awareness makes passengers more sensitive to the needs of others around them.(研究者推测,意外事件打破了日常生活的单调性,提高了人们对周围环境的关注度。 根据第一段“You are sitting on a crowded subway train. An old woman boards and looks tired. Would you offer her your seat? Most people believe kindness comes from within. A study published in Nature suggests the answer may depend less on your personality than you think — and surprisingly, on whether a superhero is nearby.(你正坐在一辆拥挤的地铁上,一位老妇人上了车,看起来疲惫不堪。你会主动让座给她吗?大多数人认为善良源于内心。一项发表在《自然》杂志上的研究指出,答案可能并不像人们想象的那样取决于你的性格,而更可能与身边是否有一位超级英雄有关)”并结合全文围绕该实验展开的内容可知,本文核心是超级英雄的出现及类似的小意外对他人善意行为的影响,D项概括了文章主旨。 C “Someone has already released the findings ahead of us.” I woke up to this alarming news in an email from my adviser midway through the third year of my PhD. I was shocked. Just 6 months earlier, after 2 years of failures and dead ends, I had finally found a promising research direction to follow. I had devoted all my efforts to the research, only to find that a preprint had beaten me to it. I began to panic. Was my PhD not meant to be? Should I cut my losses and leave my program? I sought advice from family members, friends, classmates, and former advisers. In the end, I realized I was the only one who could choose my future. I thought about how, ever since learning why clouds form different shapes in the fourth grade, I can’t help but share fun science facts with my friends and family. I remembered how watching the movie Jurassic Park as a young teen had introduced me to biology and encouraged me to pursue it. After reflecting on what gave me joy, I saw a new career path: informing and inspiring the public about scientific knowledge as a communicator. But I still had to decide whether to finish my PhD. I sought advice from professionals working in science communication. Some said having a PhD could give me an edge with potential employers; others said all that mattered was whether I could effectively communicate complex scientific topics. Again, only I could decide. After much debate, I decided I would rather spend a few more years trying to get the PhD, in case it turned out to be an advantage in the future. I will soon finish my PhD, with plans to find a role in science communication after I graduate while many other PhD students are still unsure about their career paths. In the end, I’m grateful someone beat me. Losing my project forced me to reflect on my desires and find an unexpected direction toward a brighter future. 28. What did the author think about his PhD study after hearing the news? A. He should work even harder. B. He needed more research ideas. C. He had chosen the wrong adviser. D. He might not be the right person for it. 29. What helped the author decide on his future career? A. Discussing with his former teachers. B. Looking back at what he truly loved. C. Learning from other students’ choices. D. Finding a job in science communication. 30. Why did the author choose to finish his PhD? A. He was advised to do so by experts. B. He thought it might benefit him later. C. He wanted to prove himself to others. D. He had no better plan for the moment. 31. What can we learn from the author’s story? A. A dead end can lead to a new start. B. Learning should be a gradual process. C. Hard work always pays off in the end. D. Joy can only be found in a job one loves. D 29. B 30. B 31. 根据第一段中“I began to panic. Was my PhD not meant to be? Should I cut my losses and leave my program? (我开始恐慌起来。难道我的博士生涯注定如此吗?我是否应该及时止损,离开这个项目?)”可知,作者怀疑自己或许不适合攻读博士。 【29题详解】 细节理解题。根据第二段中“After reflecting on what gave me joy, I saw a new career path: informing and inspiring the public about scientific knowledge as a communicator. (在反思了什么能带给我快乐之后,我看到了一条新的职业道路:作为一名传播者,向公众传播和激发他们对科学知识的兴趣。)”可知,回顾自己真正热爱的事物帮助作者决定了未来的职业。 【30题详解】 细节理解题。根据第三段中“After much debate, I decided I would rather spend a few more years trying to get the PhD, in case it turned out to be an advantage in the future. (经过反复斟酌,我决定宁愿再多花几年时间拿下博士学位,以防日后这会成为我的一项优势。)”可知,作者选择完成博士学位是因为他认为这可能会在未来给他带来好处。 【31题详解】 推理判断题。根据最后一段中“In the end, I’m grateful someone beat me. Losing my project forced me to reflect on my desires and find an unexpected direction toward a brighter future. (最终,我反而很感激有人抢在了我前面。研究项目的失之交臂迫使我反思自己真正的渴望,并意外地找到了通往更光明未来的方向。)”可知,作者的研究项目虽然被别人抢先发表了,但这反而促使他反思自己真正的兴趣所在,并找到了科学传播这一新的职业方向。这说明“绝境可以带来新的开始”。 D Weaver ants’ feet have an incredibly strong grip (抓力) — individual members of one species can, without slipping, hold an entire dead bird hanging off the edge of a table. The mighty insects rarely work alone, and they strategically use their grippy feet to become ever more efficient at pulling leaf tips. In contrast to typical human behavior, ants work harder in larger groups than when alone to pull comparatively huge weights. In a measurable phenomenon called the Ringelmann effect, the more humans join a team, the less effort each individual member tends to apply. Researchers generally owe this to reduced motivation and the difficulty of coordinating (协调) more people. “When you’re pulling on a rope, like a tug-of-war, it’s actually less efficient to have more people lined up,” says biologist Chris Reid, co-author on a new study in Current Biology. Reid and his colleagues connected the tip of a paper leaf to a force-measuring device and filmed weaver ants pulling the tip back across the leaf to fold it. They found single ants pulled 59 times their weight on average, but individuals in groups of 15 pulled 103 times their weight. The more ants were included, the sharper the efficiency increase. To make this happen, the ants form chains of two to four, one behind the other. The front ants bent their legs and pulled hard at the leaf tip with their strong mouthparts while the rear (后面的) ants held the leaf still. The researchers propose these pulling chains could act like force wheels. The front ants are “active pullers,” and the rear ants are the “passive resisters” — they grab on to the front ants’ bodies, plant their sticky feet firmly on the leaf, and store the forces generated by the front ants, so the leaf doesn’t fly backward. “Examples of true super-efficiency are very limited,” says ecologist Scott Powell who was not involved in the study. But along with efficient coordination, weaver ants’ physical characteristics appear to give them an edge. “The world is full of organisms solving problems in ways that are totally different from the way our brains would think to do it.” 32. What can we learn about weaver ants from paragraph 1? A. They cooperate only when hunting. B. They carry loads beyond their weight. C. They use grip mainly for hunting birds. D. They work harder alone than in groups. 33. Why does the author mention the Ringelmann effect in paragraph 2? A. To explain the ants’ strong grippy feet. B. To reveal a limitation in human teamwork. C. To prove that motivation affects performance. D. To stress the ants’ cooperative efficiency by contrast. 34. How do weaver ants achieve super-efficiency? A. By increasing individual pulling strength. B. By pulling leaves separately and strongly. C. By cooperating with clear division of labor. D. By forming pulling chains of varying lengths. 35. Which of the following is the best title for the passage? A. Weaver Ants: Masters of Cooperative Pulling. B. Weaver Ants: Champions of Strongest Pullers. C. Super-efficiency: Secrets of Insect Cooperation. D. Super-efficiency: Myths of Group Performance. B 33. D 34. C 35. 根据第一段中“Weaver ants’ feet have an incredibly strong grip (抓力) — individual members of one species can, without slipping, hold an entire dead bird hanging off the edge of a table. (织叶蚁的脚具有令人难以置信的强大抓力——其中一个物种的单个个体,就能牢牢抓住一只悬在桌边、完整的死鸟而不滑落)”可知,织叶蚁能够抓住一只悬挂在桌子边缘的整个死鸟,说明它们能提起超过自身体重的重物。 【33题详解】 推理判断题。根据第一段中“In contrast to typical human behavior, ants work harder in larger groups than when alone to pull comparatively huge weights.(与人类的典型行为相反,蚂蚁在群体中会比单独行动时更加努力,以拉动相对巨大的重量)”、第二段中“In a measurable phenomenon called the Ringelmann effect, the more humans join a team, the less effort each individual member tends to apply. (在一个被称为林格尔曼效应的可测量现象中,加入团队的人越多,每个成员付出的努力就越少)”以及第三段中“They found single ants pulled 59 times their weight on average, but individuals in groups of 15 pulled 103 times their weight. (他们发现,单只蚂蚁平均能拉动自身重量59倍的物体,但15只蚂蚁群中的个体能拉动自身重量103倍的物体)”可知,作者提到林格尔曼效应是为了通过对比来强调蚂蚁团队协作的效率。 【34题详解】 细节理解题。根据第三段中“The more ants were included, the sharper the efficiency increase.(参与的蚂蚁越多,效率提升就越显著)”和第四段“To make this happen, the ants form chains of two to four, one behind the other. 通读全文,结合第一段“Weaver ants’ feet have an incredibly strong grip... and they strategically use their grippy feet to become ever more efficient at pulling leaf tips. (织叶蚁的脚具有令人难以置信的强大抓力……它们策略性地使用它们有抓力的脚,在拉拽叶尖时变得更加高效)”以及第三段“They found single ants pulled 59 times their weight on average, but individuals in groups of 15 pulled 103 times their weight. Curiosity is defined as the“desire to know”, but many people don’t realize it ranges from shallow to deep. ____36____ It’s the kind of questioning that helps us to collect data and information. We use it to learn facts. ____37____ It’s not just about facts, but about unknown stories. When we use it to learn about other people, we get a rich insight into their core values and life experiences. Instead of a simple question like “What do you do for work?”, we ask, “What kind of work makes you come alive, and why?” One type of curiosity is not necessarily better than the other. They’re just different with benefits and learning from both. ____38____ You wouldn’t ask a new classmate suddenly and unexpectedly, “What’s your biggest childhood trauma (创伤)?” While some of us might be willing to share so openly, others may not find the question appropriate, especially before trust and closeness have been built. ____39____ People with higher levels of curiosity tend to be happier. It also strengthens our relationships — whether with our classmates, friends, or strangers. A study found that when people show genuine curiosity towards another person, they’re rated as warmer and more attractive. It creates that “give-and-take spiral”; when we ask questions, others are more likely to return the favour. While curiosity is usually regarded as a way to learn about what’s outside of ourselves, such as better understanding someone, it can actually be channeled in other ways, too. It helps us understand ourselves, and reflect on our beliefs, desires, or needs. ____40____ A. Curiosity offers a variety of benefits. B. It’s time to employ curiosity’s power. C. Thus shallow curiosity is a gateway to a deeper world. D. However, which you use might depend on the situation. E. What you may be more familiar with is shallow curiosity. F. Deep curiosity, in contrast, invites us to go beneath the surface. G. It can even be directed to explore what’s beyond the physical world. E 37. F 38. D 39. A 40. 【36题详解】 根据上文“Curiosity is defined as the “desire to know”, but many people don’t realize it ranges from shallow to deep.(好奇心被定义为“求知的欲望”,但许多人没有意识到它有浅有深)”以及后文“It’s the kind of questioning that helps us to collect data and information. We use it to learn facts.(这是一种帮助我们收集数据和信息的问题。我们用它来学习事实)”可知,本句主要是在介绍好奇心深浅中的一种。故E选项“你可能更熟悉的是浅薄的好奇心”符合语境,故选E。 【37题详解】 根据后文“It’s not just about facts, but about unknown stories. When we use it to learn about other people, we get a rich insight into their core values and life experiences. Instead of a simple question like “What do you do for work?”, we ask, “What kind of work makes you come alive, and why?”(不仅仅是事实,还有未知的故事。当我们用它来了解他人时,我们对他们的核心价值观和生活经历有了丰富的了解。而不是像“你做什么工作?”,我们会问:“什么样的工作能让你充满活力?为什么?”)”可知,后文主要介绍了深层次的好奇心。故F选项“相反,强烈的好奇心邀请我们深入到表面之下”符合语境,故选F。 【38题详解】 根据上文“One type of curiosity is not necessarily better than the other. They’re just different with benefits and learning from both.(一种好奇心不一定比另一种好。它们只是在好处和学习方面有所不同)”以及后文“You wouldn’t ask a new classmate suddenly and unexpectedly, “What’s your biggest childhood trauma (创伤)?” While some of us might be willing to share so openly, others may not find the question appropriate, especially before trust and closeness have been built.(你不会突然出乎意料地问新同学:“你童年最大的创伤是什么?”虽然我们中的一些人可能愿意如此公开地分享,但其他人可能会觉得这个问题不合适,尤其是在建立信任和亲密关系之前)”可知,后文的例子表明好奇心的使用需要视情况而定。故D选项“然而,你使用哪一种可能取决于具体情况”符合语境,故选D。 【39题详解】 根据后文“People with higher levels of curiosity tend to be happier. It also strengthens our relationships — whether with our classmates, friends, or strangers. A study found that when people show genuine curiosity towards another person, they’re rated as warmer and more attractive. It creates that “give-and-take spiral”; when we ask questions, others are more likely to return the favour.(好奇心高的人往往更快乐。它还加强了我们与同学、朋友或陌生人的关系。一项研究发现,当人们对另一个人表现出真正的好奇时,他们会被认为更温暖、更有吸引力。它创造了一种“相互让步的螺旋”;当我们提出问题时,其他人更有可能给予回报)”可知,本段的主旨是好奇心的好处。故A选项“好奇心有很多好处”符合语境,故选A。 【40题详解】 根据上文“While curiosity is usually regarded as a way to learn about what’s outside of ourselves, such as better understanding someone, it can actually be channeled in other ways, too. It helps us understand ourselves, and reflect on our beliefs, desires, or needs.(虽然好奇心通常被认为是一种了解我们自身之外的东西的方式,比如更好地了解某人,但它实际上也可以通过其他方式来引导。它帮助我们了解自己,并反思我们的信仰、欲望或需求)”可知,本句为本段最后一句,承接上文,继续说明好奇心的作用。故G选项“它甚至可以用来探索物质世界之外的世界”符合语境,故选G。 第三部分 语言运用(共两节,满分30分) 第一节(共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分) 阅读下面短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出最佳选项。 In an incredible act of bravery, 28-year-old Kayla Masotto from Mastic Beach acted immediately to save a stranger’s life on Poospatuck Creek. As far as I was concerned, a classroom was a classroom. I longed to be outside, wandering the hills of Tennessee where I grew up. My teachers didn’t appreciate hidden caves, running creeks(小溪) and wild bears any more than I appreciated maths, history and good handwriting. My report cards always included notes like “Douglas needs to apply himself instead of looking out of the window.” My parents tried their best with me, but school hadn’t been a big part of their lives either. “He’ll grow out of it,” Daddy said when yet another teacher had concerns about me being too much of a dreamer. The rough land, the wildlife, and the adventure had more for me to dream about while I was chained(束缚) to my eighth-grade desk. It seemed there were two kinds of people in the world: those who belonged in the classroom and those who belonged in the mountains. The teacher, Miss Cook seemed to know which one I was and had put me as far away from the window as possible. “Douglas Clark.” The sound of my name snapped(惊醒) me out of my daydream. Miss Cook had appeared at my side without my even knowing. “If this daydreaming continues, I’m going to have to pay a visit to your parents,” she said. I gave her a grin(咧嘴笑). “If you aren’t going to help cook supper, you might as well not come.” I said. The class laughed, but Miss Cook did not. “That’s very clever,” she said. “I think you should stay after school and share more of your cleverness.” I sighed. My joke was going to keep me where I didn’t belong. That’s the way it was with teachers. They never missed a chance to remind me of that. As soon as the bell rang, I took out my notebook to get a head start on writing “I will not be clever in class” 200 times. But Miss Cook had something else in mind. She called me to the front and told me to sit facing her. “I want you to tell me what you love about the world outside that window,” she said. I was so surprised that for a moment I was lost for words. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I turned in my paper the next day before class and waited for Miss Cook’s reaction. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】 I was so surprised that for a moment I was lost for words. No teacher had ever asked me that before. Finally, I started talking about the things that made my heart race: the way sunlight filtered through the trees, the deer that sometimes appeared at dawn, and the secret path that led to a small waterfall. I told her about the little creek that runs through the woods behind my house, where I’d caught tiny fish with my bare hands. “It’s like the world out there has its own stories,” I said, “and I want to hear them all.” Miss Cook listened quietly, nodding from time to time, which made me feel brave enough to keep going. When I finished, she smiled and said, “Why don’t you write that down for me? I’d love to read it.” I turned in my paper the next day before class and waited for Miss Cook’s reaction. She read it slowly, and when she looked up, her eyes were bright. “Douglas,” she said, “this is wonderful. You have a gift for describing what you see.” She told the class about my writing, which made me feel proud instead of embarrassed. For the first time, I thought maybe school wasn’t just a place to sit and wait for the bell. Miss Cook showed me that the things I loved could be part of learning too, and that was a lesson I’d never forget. 词汇激活 行为类 ①讲述:talk about/speak of/relate ②写下:write down/jot down/note down ③有……的天赋:have a gift for/have a talent for 情绪类 ①尴尬的:embarrassed/awkward ②自豪:made me feel proud/made me filled with a sense of pride 【点睛】【高分句型1】Miss Cook listened quietly, nodding from time to time, which made me feel brave enough to keep going. B You are sitting on a crowded subway train. A Superhero Influences Others’ Kindness C “Someone has already released the findings ahead of us.” I woke up to this alarming news in an email from my adviser midway through the third year of my PhD. D Weaver ants’ feet have an incredibly strong grip (抓力) — individual members of one species can, without slipping, hold an entire dead bird hanging off the edge of a table. In an incredible act of bravery, 28-year-old Kayla Masotto from Mastic Beach acted immediately to save a stranger’s life on Poospatuck Creek. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $听力考试正式开始。 If IT were earlier, we'd use the campus study hall, but we'll need to go elsewhere.
