根据“make a valentine”,需“拿出”材料制作,“taking out拿出”符合语境。“putting out熄灭/展出;carrying out执行;giving out分发”不符合制作贺卡的动作。

根据“made the right...”,make a choice 是固定搭配,且指代保守秘密的决定,“choice选择”符合语境。“mistake错误”语意相反;“plan计划;wish愿望”搭配不当。
四、阅读理解(共7小题;每小题2分,满分14分)
阅读A、B两篇短文,根据短文内容,从短文后各题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中,选择最佳选项。
A
What do you want to be when you grow up? A study shows that more than 80% of children want to choose jobs they often see around them, like doctors and teachers—with teachers topping the list of kids’ dream jobs. But jobs such as cartoonists appear in less than 7% of their answers. This “visibility bias” holds back our imagination—we often overlook (忽视) jobs hidden outside our daily lives.
Choosing a career (职业) is important because it needs to bring both income (收入) and job satisfaction (满足感). If you don’t enjoy your job, your life won’t be as happy as you wish it to be. Try looking into different possibilities! Your dream job might be something you’ve never heard of before.
How can you start? First, think about your interests and strengths. These will help shape your future work. If numbers excite you, maybe you can be a scientist. If storytelling comes naturally, writing or filmmaking could be your path. And remember to talk to teachers, parents and friends. They can share ideas about different jobs.
Also, think about future trends (趋势). Many jobs today, like website builders, weren’t around 50 years ago. New jobs, like AI ethics advisors (伦理顾问) might appear when you grow up. So, besides learning school subjects, you should develop skills like creativity and critical thinking.
You don’t have to wait to plan. Join clubs, read books, or watch videos about different jobs. Remember: big dreams start with small actions. Whether you want to change the world or find happiness, planning today will help you reach your dreams tomorrow!
23. What does the underlined phrase “visibility bias” in Paragraph 1 probably mean?
A. A habit of only choosing jobs that pay a lot of money.
B. A way of only noticing jobs that are often seen in daily life.
C. A problem of forgetting about jobs one has heard of before.
D. A mistake of thinking some jobs are easier than others.
24. Which of the following best describes the structure of the passage?
A. ①/②/③④/⑤ B. ①/②③/④/⑤ C. ①②/③/④/⑤ D. ①/②/③/④⑤
25. What can we learn from the passage?
A. Most kids dream of becoming cartoonists because they are creative.
B. Job satisfaction is more important than income when choosing a career.
C. New jobs like website builders will disappear in the near future.
D. We should think about our interests and future trends when planning a career.
B 24. A 25. D
第一段中“want to choose jobs they often see around them”以及后文解释“overlook jobs hidden outside our daily lives”,可知“visibility bias”指的是倾向于只关注日常生活中常见的职业。
根据第三段“think about your interests and strengths”和第四段“think about future trends”可知,规划职业时应综合考虑兴趣和未来趋势。
B
Every Saturday evening growing up, my family and I gathered around my grandmother’s long dining table for delicious homemade food. There were loud conversations and games with my aunts, uncles, and cousins. I loved these nights.
It was always special to spend the night at my grandmother’s house after one of these gatherings. I would stay there alone, without any of my three cousins. My grandmother would pay no attention to the mess. She set up a bed for me on the floor of her bedroom. Both of us read until our eyes wouldn’t stay open any longer.
The next morning, we woke up, ate bread, and got to work. She would spend the morning cleaning after each family party the night before. Some of my earliest memories include her rolling out the big vacuum cleaner (吸尘器) down the long hall. She’d do the dishes while I got to clean the table. And we’d flatten the cans together.
As I’ve entered my thirties and begun hosting friends of my own, I have adopted my grandmother’s cleaning method. I’ll never clean the night of the party. My mind deeply refuses it—only allowing a pile of dirty dishes to sit next to the sink (洗涤槽) after I’ve said goodbye to my guests and locked the gate. Then I go to bed with my partner and our cats, and we lose ourselves in the night of nice talks, close moments, and joy. On Sunday mornings, I roll out the vacuum cleaner, do the dishes, and play some music. It’s relaxing.
This is the type of cleaning that’s just for me—the kind meant to settle and absorb (吸收) the conversations and events of the night. I’m confident it strengthens the memories of the good times, too. A little more partying first and cleaning later. I advise you to try it sometime.
26. What was special to the writer when she was young?
A. Playing games with her cousins. B. Eating with her whole family.
C. Spending the night at her grandma’s. D. Going home without her cousins.
27. What is the writer’s grandmother’s cleaning method?
A. Leaving cleaning to the next day. B. Doing the cleaning with partners.
C. Listening to music while cleaning. D. Cleaning up after the guests leave.
28. What can we infer (推断) about the writer’s cleaning after parties now?
A. It is often done with her guests’ help.
B. It makes her feel stressed about the mess.
C. It takes her much longer than her grandmother’s.
D. It helps her think of the happy time from the party.
29. Which of the following best shows the main idea of the passage?
A. Childhood memories with family are the most valuable treasures in one’s life.
B. Cleaning the day after a party is more relaxing than cleaning on party night.
C. Hosting friends at home can create happy moments and strengthen relationships.
D. A loved one’s daily habit may be passed down, becoming meaningful for you.
C 27. A 28. D 29. D

Changes happen to everyone, like growing apart from a friend, moving to a new city, or losing a pet. Even happy changes can be stressful, as they often mean leaving behind familiar routines (惯例) and starting something new. Here are some ways to help you deal with changes well.
Accept your feelings.
It’s okay to feel sad, worried, or even angry when things change. Don’t always hide your feelings. ___30___ Knowing what you are feeling helps you understand yourself better, and that self-awareness is the first step to deal with changes.
Write about the changes in your diary.
If you have difficulty in dealing with the changes, write them down. You don’t need to use fancy words, just put your true thoughts on paper. For example, you can write, “I’m nervous about my new science class.” Writing down your worries can often make them seem smaller. ___31___
See changes as chances.
___32___ Look for the good sides of a change. Maybe it’s a chance to learn new skills, meet new people, or discover something you really enjoy.
___33___
When things change, try to keep your daily routine the same. Go to school, do your homework, and spend time with your friends. Having a routine can help you feel more in control of your life.
Remember, every change is a step toward growth.
A. Try to keep things as usual.
B. You can get help from your family.
C. Sometimes changes may lead to better things.
D. You might even find ways of solving problems.

Do you know Labubu? It is a funny-looking monster (怪兽) with big eyes, sharp teeth and messy hair. It always wants to help but often accidentally achieves the opposite.
Inspired (启发) by fairy tales and children’s wild imagination, artist Kasing Lung from Hong Kong, China created such an elf-like (像精灵的) character in his book series The Monsters in 2015, along with other monster characters. Later, Chinese toy company Pop Mart brought these characters to life as dolls.
Labubu became popular around the world in late 2024 and early 2025. Now it is not just a made-up character from stories. It also means the whole set of characters, like Zimomo, Tycoco, and Mokoko. Some of these dolls look similar and it is hard to tell their differences. The dolls are mainly sold in blind boxes, so you won’t know which one you’ll get, making it a surprise.
Both kids and adults have fallen in love with Labubu. In Tokyo, its creative designs inspire young artists. In Bangkok, it has become a symbol of cultural exchange. Across the ocean in New York, fans share their collections and artworks online actively. “Labubu reminds me of childhood creativity,” says one of the Labubu fans. “Now my friends and I even design our own monster characters!”
Labubu’s success shows how creativity connects people worldwide. Though the fun of opening blind boxes brings pleasure, it’s important to enjoy them wisely and avoid overspending or compulsive (冲动的) collecting. After all, the real value is in admiring the art, not just collecting.

34. What does Labubu look like?
