一、核心知识点归纳

1. 基数词 & 序数词定义

     基数词：描述数量（one, two, three…）

     序数词：

         描述顺序、第几（first, second, third…）

         缩写：数字+末尾两个字母（1st, 2nd, 3rd…）

 

2. 序数词变化规则

1)     1、2、3 特殊变形：

one→first (1st)；two→second (2nd)；three→third (3rd)

2)     4–19：基数词 + th

特殊：five→fifth，eight→eighth，nine→ninth，twelve→twelfth

3)     整十数（20/30…90）：变 y 为 ie+th：

twenty→twentieth (20th)，fifty→fiftieth (50th)

4)     几十几：只变末尾数字，中间连字符：

twenty-one→twenty-first (21st)

5)     百位数：

one hundred → one hundredth (100th)；一百零一：one hundred and one → one hundred and first (101st)

 

3. 单元核心用法

1)     生日：my thirteenth birthday 我的 13 岁生日（第 13 个生日）

2)     日期：月份 + 序数词，September 10th 九月十日

3)     表顺序：the first tree 第一棵树，序数词前通常加定冠词 the

 

4. 课本例句拆解

1)     I’m thirteen years old. This is my thirteenth birthday.

thirteen 基数词表年龄；thirteenth 序数词表 “第十三个” 生日

2)     Teachers’ Day is on September 10th.

10th= tenth，日期必须用序数词

3)     one hundred people 一百人（基数词表数量）
