后文hello、may、can、could均为礼貌表达,polite“礼貌的”贴合段落主旨;long“长的”、boring“无聊的”、new“新的”逻辑不通。
look for“寻找”对应找寻目的地;pay for“支付”、wait for“等待”、ask for“索要”均不符合找地点的动作。

For days, we avoided each other, and our friendship seemed to be falling apart. I felt lost without her, but didn’t know how to fix it. One day, while walking home from school, I decided to face Sarah and explain everything. To my surprise, she said that she had overreacted (反应过度) and had been under a lot of stress lately.
We sat down and talked for hours, clearing up the misunderstanding. Sarah apologized for accusing me without giving me a chance to explain, and I apologized for not being more careful with her book. That night, we made a pact (约定) to always communicate openly with each other, no matter what.
Our friendship became stronger after that. We learned that misunderstandings are common in relationships, but what’s important is how we solve them. Now, whenever we have a disagreement, we remember that talking things through is always the best solution.
26. What was the cause of the misunderstanding between the writer and Sarah?
A. The writer borrowed Sarah’s favorite thing. B. The writer lost Sarah’s favorite book.
C. Sarah accused the writer of stealing money. D. The writer didn’t invite Sarah to a party.
27. What decision did the writer make while walking home from school?
A. To avoid Sarah forever. B. To face Sarah and explain.
C. To buy Sarah a new book. D. To forget about the whole incident.
28. Which is the right structure of the passage? (①=Paragraph 1; ②=Paragraph 2, ③=Paragraph 3; ④=Paragraph 4)
A. ①/②③/④ B. ①②/③/④ C. ①/②③④ D. ①②③/④
29. What does the underlined phrase “talking things through” mean in the last paragraph?
A. Ignoring (忽视) the problem. B. Forgetting about the problem.
C. Discussing the problem openly. D. Avoiding the problem.
30. What is the best title for the passage?
A. The Importance of Trust in Friendships
B. How to Apologize to a Friend
C. From Misunderstanding to Understanding: A Friendship Story
D. Dealing with Stress and Misunderstandings in Life

上文“It is believed that a good memory comes naturally, while a bad memory cannot be changed.”
