One of the workers, Dionta White, is a senior member of the farm team. He once fell into street life in Englewood, losing friends to gun violence. He’s now responsible for growing the flowers and helping train new workers. He says it feels good to let people see Englewood from a different point of view. “When we grow these flowers, it just … brings peace to the community,” says Dionta.
