根据“Her parents make money by playing the traditional instrument.”
to“向”、of“……
根据“To save a little money”可知,为了省钱,她们睡在公园而不是住酒店,instead of意为“代替,而不是”。except for“除了”、because of“因为”不符合省钱选择住宿的语境。
根据“She studied under the famous suona player Liu Ying and got normal training.”
根据“she performed with the famous composer…”

The Sahara Desert lies in Africa and covers one third of this large land. It is about 9 million square kilometers large and has a history of at least 4.6 million years, so it is one of the world’s oldest places. As the biggest hot desert on Earth, it is very dry and hot all year round. In summer, the daytime temperature is over 40℃. Nights are much colder, and winter nights can be below 0℃. It is quite dry.
根据前半句“We can see these differences in the way people use language”可知,especially意为 “尤其”,用来加强语气,符合语境,故填especially。
句意:例如,“you are a lucky dog”意思是你是一个幸运的人。
句意:然而“every dog has its day”表达了每个人都有走运的时候。 故填its。

Local villagers keep the tradition of beating big drums on important festivals. There is a very large cloud-thunder (云雷纹) bronze drum from Beiliu. It is the biggest ancient bronze drum that people have found in the world. People think it is“the King of Bronze Drums in the World”. And it is kept in Guangxi Museum now.
Today, many kinds of drums are still kept. The Taiping Drum stands for people’s wish for peace, while the Ansai Waist Drum (安塞腰鼓) shows farmers’ strong spirit.

Most areas get less than 25 mm of rain each year. Some places almost have no rain. March, April, and September are the best months to travel. The weather is warm but not too hot. We can ride camels (骆驼) and watch beautiful sunsets there. Most parts of the Sahara are covered with rocks, and you can also see grasslands (草地), lakes, mountains and sandy areas.
Living in the Sahara is really hard. About two million people live there, and most of them move around often. Only a few people choose to stay near water. Many special animals also live here. Camels and fennec foxes (耳廓狐) have learned ways to live in such a hard environment.
The famous Chinese writer Sanmao loved the Sahara very much. In her book Stories of the Sahara, she told readers about her simple and happy life with her husband there. Her works let more people enjoy the special beauty of the desert.
