Some people are lucky enough to turn their hobby into a job. That is also my dream.
My uncle is a vet. He works on a farm and takes care of sick animals every day. I want to be a vet too. During holidays, I often go to the farm and help him. But to turn my hobby into a job, it’s not enough to just love animals. I also need to believe in myself, to gain lots of knowledge about animals and practise a lot to care about them. For a long time, people thought only men could fly planes. But some brave women changed that.
In 1910, Raymonde de Laroche from France became the first woman to get the right to fly a plane. Many people believed women could not fly, but she showed them they were wrong. In 1932, Amelia Earhart became the first woman to fly alone across the Atlantic Ocean. Her story was exciting and gave many people hope.
Today, more and more women fly big passenger planes. However, only about 5% of all pilots around the world are women. The number is small, but it is growing every year.
Women have also reached for the stars. In 1963, Russian astronaut Valentina Tereshkova became the first woman in space. In 2012, Liu Yang became the first Chinese woman astronaut. In 2021, Wang Yaping became the first Chinese woman to walk in space. These women showed that nothing is impossible when you have a dream.

Weather affects (影响) not only people, but also animals and plants. On bright and sunny days, people often feel good. But on bad days, like dark and cloudy days, people often feel sad. Birds do not sing much on windy days and some insects (昆虫) may act differently before it rains. Many plants even die when it is very cold.
Weather affects our lives in many other ways. In thick fog (雾), people have to close main roads to stop accidents. During big storms, travellers have to change their travel plans and schools sometimes have to close to keep students safe.
Weather also affects farming a lot. Too much rain or too little rain is not good for it . Also, weather can affect big events like the Olympic Games. If the weather changes quickly, it can stop an outdoor activity.
We can’t change the weather, but we can prepare for it. Now, scientists are able to tell us what the weather will be like better than before. And it’s easy to find out about the weather on the internet.
