第四部分写作(共两节,满分40分)
第一节(满分15分)
One possible version:
Dear Chris,
I'm writing to share with you a labor class I had on a farm last Friday.
Upon arrival,I was assigned to pull out weeds, feed chickens and harvest fresh vegetables such as tomatoes and
cucumbers. We worked nonstop in the fields from morning till noon.At first,I struggled with the farm work, with sweat
keeping rolling down my face.Yet I didn't give up.As time went by,I gradually adapted to the work and began to enjoy
it.By noon,my hands were dirty and my back ached, but seeing the tidy fields and fresh produce,I truly appreciated the
fruits of labor.
Through this experience,I have realized how hard farmers work to bring food to our tables. It also makes me
appreciate the value of manual labor.I feel more grateful for everything I have now.
Yours,
Li Hua
第二节(满分25分)
One possible version:
Day by day,Avant's small money box grew heavier. Finally, after weeks of doing part-time jobs,Avant saved
enough money for a fancy dress for his grandma. He secretly picked out a graceful gown that suited Heller perfectly and
prepared delicate matching accessories.Upon seeing the beautiful dress and learning about all his efforts,Heller was
overwhelmed with joy and emotion, with tears of happiness rolling down her cheeks. She tried on the gown carefully, her
eyes sparkling with excitement and gratitude.
With all preparations ready,Heller and Avant waited for the big day eagerly. On the big night,Heller looked elegant
and radiant in her new dress. They stepped into the dance floor hand in hand, surrounded by soft music and warm lights.
As they danced slowly together, all the others smiled warmly at them.A surge of excitement welled up inside Heller,as
her long-cherished dream finally came true.Avant fulfilled his childhood promise with perseverance, proving that sincere
love can make even the oldest wishes shine brightly.

Over the past two decades, digital technology has influenced teenagers'reading lives. This
report, based on the Annual Literacy Survey data since 2005,focusing on 2017-2025),
examines their print and digital reading patterns by age,gender,socio-economic background and
reading enjoyment.
英语第2页(共8页)
KEY FINDINGS
Print reading continues to dominate, particularly for fiction(shown in the following chart),but
reading digitally has already settled well into the daily routines of young people.
Fiction Reading Proportion(2017-2025)
Year
Print Fiction Reading (ages 8-18)
Digital Fiction Reading (ages 8-18)
2017
59.5%
19.9%
2025
49.3%

Teenagers who love reading prefer print or both formats, while digital reading is especially
important for less-engaged readers, boys and those from lower-income backgrounds.
Reading of digital-only materials (e.g.messages,websites and social media)has fallen sharply
since 2023,alongside wider shifts towards more visual and AI-driven content.
Though digital devices are often seen as a threat to reading, they can act as a gateway to reading
for many young people;print remains central and supports effective reading across formats.
The key challenge is to build inclusive reading cultures that value diverse reading patterns and
ensure all teenagers can develop beneficial sustained reading practices, regardless of formats. The
report findings support the principles of the National Year of Reading,validating()teenagers'
contemporary experiences of reading and encouraging them to dive into their passion through reading
in whatever way that works for them.
21.What does the report focus on?
A.The role of print books in schools.
B.Digital reading trends in the past decades.
C.Social media's impact on teenagers
D.The reading habits and formats of teenagers.
22.What can be inferred from the chart?
A.Digital fiction reading is dropping fast.
B.Print reading still attracts young readers
C.Most teenagers prefer a mixed reading pattern.
D.Reading enjoyment has grown sharply recently.
23.What does the report suggest about reading?
A.Accept all reading patterns.
B.Update kids'reading lists regularly.
C.Prioritize print over digital reading.
D.Set time limits on kids'digital reading

As the first rays of sunlight spread across southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region,Tashi
Yangzom studied satellite imagery, her eyes quietly tracking shifting weather systems unfolding on
the screen."The weather here is like a child's changeable face,"said the 60-year-old."We have
to learn to read it.”
Born into a road maintenance worker's family in Xizang's Bomi County,Yangzom understood
the impact of weather on daily life from a young age."The weather determined my parents'daily
work-whether to bring an umbrella in the morning, whether construction could proceed in the
afternoon and whether the wind would pick up toward evening,"she said, adding that when her
parents were working outdoors, her heart would tighten at the sight of dark clouds in the sky.
After graduating from college in 1988,Yangzom became a meteorologist(气象学家)at the
regional observatory in Lhasa.Back then, the most advanced equipment was a manually operated
satellite image receiver."The images were unclear,as if we were looking at the mysterious plateau
(through frosted glass.Sometimes,to identify an approaching heavy snowfall,we had to
work over 10 hours,"she recalled.
英语第3页(共8页)
In 1997,the worst snowstorm in nearly a century struck northem Xizang.Yangzom and her
team moved into the computer room, working around the clock to determine how deep the snow was
and how far it extended. After days of adjustments, their self-developed snow monitoring system
provided the region's first-ever snow depth data, enabling authorities to respond in time and prevent
loss of life and livestock.
Although Yangzom retired last year, she has been working tirelessly to train the next
generation. At her innovation studio, she encourages young professionals to choose their own topics
and lead research with funding support.Figures show that the number of surface weather stations in
Xizang has increased from 23 in 1965 to 1.284 today, covering all townships.
"My teacher Tashi Yangzom trained me from day one.Young staff like me will carry on her
dedication to Xizang's meteorological work,"one young technician said.

On Tuesday,a Beijing startup demonstrated humanoid robots carefully picking up litter and
sorting flower bunches.The event,hosted by X Square Robot,presented a modest spectacle(
compared to the industry's usual performance of robots that can run, flip, and dance.Yet,it
showed a significant shift:Chinese companies like X Square Robot are now focused on proving the
practical value humanoids can bring to the messy, unpredictable environments of everyday life,
rather than just their stage capabilities.
“The hardware(a硬件)is largely there,”said Wang Qian, chief executive of startup X Square
Robot."But the brain hasn't caught up."Chinese humanoid robots can complete half-marathons
faster than outstanding athletes, but tasks that seem simple to the average human-tidying a messy
room, loading a dishwasher,or folding clothes-remain stubbornly hard for these machines.
"Why don't marathon robots face this challenge?Because what they mainly deal with is a
constant gravitational field,"said Wang."But when we handle things with our hands,if we are off
by 0.1 millimeters, the whole task may fail."Repetitive actions such as running only require a
robot to be trained on a relatively simple dataset.Navigating()a household, where no task is
ever exactly the same, requires a much more complicated "brain"that can allow a machine to
perceive gravity and light like human beings.
Last month,X Square Robot partnered with a service platform that allowed users in Shenzhen
to book a professional human cleaner and one of the company's home-cleaning robots. The robots
have served over 50 households so far.
While consumer feedback (has been mainly that the machine is slow and awkward,
Wang argues that only by entering real households can the robots improve their ability to perform
simple tasks."Sometimes it may stop to 'think'halfway while cleaning a table,"Wang said,
英语第4页(共8页)
adding that whenever the robot breaks down or fails to complete a task,a company employee will
step in remotely.
Wang pointed out that once the technology matures and robots become reliable household
helpers, the potential market size would be vast.
28.What message did the event mainly deliver about humanoid robots?
A.A change to their applications.
B.The great need for better hardware.
C.Their amazing stage performance
D.Their efficiency in litter management.
29.Why are household tasks harder for robots?
A.They involve varying situations.
B.They happen in stable gravity.
C.They demand human guidance.
D.They need greater running speed.
30.What is Wang's view on the users'feedback?
A.It focuses on poor after-sales service.B.It reveals a design problem of the robot.
C.It is a necessary step for progress.
D.It shows the maturity of AI technology.
31.What is the main idea of the text?
A.The hardware limits robot development.B.A startup leads global robot innovation.
C.Chinese robots tumn to practical home use.D.Big markets drive robot-tech upgrading.

NASA's Perseverance rover()has spent over three years exploring Mars'Jezero Crater
()In a new study,a team has used Perseverance's data to show three chemically distinct
rock formations in the crater share a surprisingly similar mineral fingerprint-whose origins appear
to be closely tied to the presence of liquid water on ancient Mars.
During its time on the Martian surface,Perseverance has identified three key mineral
formations. While rocks formed from solidified magma()sit both on the floor of the Jezero
Crater and at its boundary,sedimentary()formations in its western reaches were likely
transported and left by flowing water in Mars'distant past. However, all these formations share a
strikingly consistent set of minerals, whose formation typically requires water.
To study these formations in detail,Clave's team drew on data from Perseverance's SuperCam
instrument,a remote-sensing tool that can scrutinize rocks from several meters away using multiple
laser-based techniques.By firing laser pulses at individual rock targets,SuperCam can determine
the elemental composition of a surface and identify the specific minerals present, with no need for
the rover to get into physical contact. This approach allowed the researchers to build up a consistent
picture of the mineralogy across all three of the formations examined by Perseverance.
The team's central finding concerns minerals containing carbon and oxygen.Present in all
three formations, these carbonates make up as much as 16%of the rock by weight. The researchers
argue that these carbonates formed through a chemical reaction between the rocks and carbon
dioxide. This process would have been driven by the presence of liquid water, including hot water
circulating through the crust,as well as the lake that once filled Jezero Crater.
The influences reach well beyond Jezero. If rocks across the Martian surface really underwent a
similar carbonation process, they may collectively have locked away a substantial amount of carbon
over time-effectively drawing carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere.
In addition,Clave's team suggests that this could have contributed to the dramatic cooling of
Mars, which transformed it from a potentially habitable,water-rich world into the cold, dry planet
we observe today.
32.What can be learned about the three formations?
A.They sit in the center of the crater.
B.They have a common mineral makeup.
C.They were not discovered for the first time.
D.They were the result of magma solidification.

When people get ready to grow plants in gardens.they usually focus on sowing seeds. In
nature, seeds seem to grow without fixed rules, yet their germination()actually depends on
specific conditions.36 So figuring out what your seeds need will help raise germination rates
and cut down waste.
37 Yet they are packed with genetic information and biological processes ready to unfold.
All it takes is the right signals and stimuli from the environment to let them know it's time to grow.
The most vital requirement for most germination is water.38 But actually, too much water
causes the seed to rot()before this can happen, while too little keeps it inactive. Some seeds
have an especially hard seed coat, which can be dealt with through"damaging"the coat with a
sharp knife. In this way,a grower can ensure water can find its way below. You can also leave
seeds in warm water for 24 hours before sowing.
The other main consideration for germination is temperature.39 Most seeds have an ideal
range, outside of which they will not germinate. For example, when sowing chillies, you should
place them on a heat mat,as they need an environment around 21C.Although it's possible to get
them to germinate at lower temperatures, the results are less reliable.
Similarly, some seeds won't germinate if it is too hot.Seeds from plants that flower, drop their
seeds to overwinter and sprout the following spring have evolved to expect a period of wintry weather
before they germinate. As for this, creating winter conditions for your seeds could lead to better
results. This can be as simple as putting them in the fridge, and storing them for between a couple
of weeks and a couple of months.40
A.The exact time depends on their needs.
B.Watering freshly sown seeds seems simple.
C.Different seeds require different conditions.
D.To an unimaginative eye, seeds look lifeless.
E.It's best to avoid watering when the sunlight is too intense.
F.It is of great significance to choose the proper place to store your seeds.
G.Plenty of new gardeners underestimate its impact when sowing their seeds.

Avant was only six years old when he first heard his grandmother's long-held dream. For
years,Heller,.the grandmother,had watched countless movies featuring prom(毕业舞会)scenes,
longing to experience such a grand gathering in person one day.Young Avant took her sincere wish
seriously and made a firm promise that he would invite her to attend his own high school prom when
the day came.
But as the years passed, heavy schoolwork and daily chores gradually got in the way.The
promise began to feel like a distant memory. When Avant entered his third year of high school,he
had nearly forgotten all about it.
One evening,Avant walked past his grandmother's room and saw her watching a prom scene
from a movie. She was smiling softly at the screen, but there was something sad in her eyes.
Deeply touched by her hidden longing, his heart was filled with guilt instantly. That night,Avant
lay awake, thinking. The promise came back to him, clear and sharp. He decided not to let it slip
away again. His own prom was just a month ahead, but he could just manage to afford a formal suit
for himself, with no money left to buy a lovely dress for his grandma.Faced with such a problem,
he resolved to do everything he could to fulfill this promise.
He began to take various extra part-time jobs after school and even on weekends,no matter
how tough the work was.He put every penny he earned into a small box beneath his bed.
Whenever tiredness overwhelmed him and he felt like giving up,he would think of his
grandmother's gentle face as she watched that movie scene-and he pushed himself a little harder to
