Being overweight can make everyday activities hard and make people feel terrible about themselves.More importantly, being overweight can lead to serious health problems like heart problems, diabetes(糖尿病), and even some kinds of cancer. The NHC has started the Weight Management Year(体重管理年)program to encourage healthy lifestyles.
So, do you know how to manage weight? First, try to have good eating habits. Eat meals at proper times. Have breakfast every day and finish dinner by 7 p. m. Eat until you are 70% full and eat slowly.Begin with vegetables, then meat, and finally rice or noodles. This helps control how much you eat.Second, getting enough sleep is also important. You need to sleep for at least 7 hours a night. What's more, you should do exercise often. Try to exercise for 150 to 300 minutes each week, like walking or bike-riding. Add strength training 2 to 3 times a week. Don't sit for too long. Stand up and move every hour.

To express thanks or to just let someone know that you care about them, giving gifts is a common custom. The purpose of giving gifts may be similar, but the tradition varies from country to country.
India If you are invited to someone's home in India, you should bring a small gift, whether it's a box of chocolates or some flowers. Gifts shouldn't be wrapped(包裹) in black or white colours because they are considered unlucky. Instead of receiving a gift with both hands, Indians generally only use their right hands because left hands are considered unclean.
Japan For most Japanese, every gift should be wrapped. That's because uncovered gifts are considered disrespectful. Those who are receiving the gift may turn it down once or twice before finally accepting it. Gifts should be given in pairs, but four should be avoided just like in China. Lucky numbers also include eight. Eight is said to bring prosperity (兴旺).

About 2,300 years ago, the area around Chengdu had bad floods in spring every year. Flood-water from the mountains flowed(流动) down the Minjiang River and covered the land. Luckily, the Qin governor(太守), Li Bing, was a water engineer. The king of Qin provided the money and asked the governor to solve the problem.
The usual way to avoid flooding is to build a wall across the river, called a dam. Special openings in the dam allow the flow of water to be controlled. However, the king had also asked Li Bing to make sure that ships could still use the river. This was necessary because the king needed to send food to his army. So Li Bing studied the situation and came up with a plan that still works today!
Helped by his son, and tens of thousands of workers from the area, Li Bing built a man-made island in the middle of the river. This island was shaped like a fish and it divided the water into an inner river and an outer river. The inner river was deeper than but not as wide as the outer river. It took about four years to build the island.
Li Bing also cut a new channel through Mount Yulei. This channel would take water away to irrigate(灌溉) the farmland below. The rock of the mountain was very hard and difficult to cut. Li Bing used fire to heat the rock and then watered it to cool it quickly. This made the rock break into smaller pieces which could be carried away more easily. Cutting the channel took about eight years!
After Li Bing's work was finished, there were no more floods, and the Dujiangyan irrigation system(灌溉系统) allowed the farmers to grow more and more food. The river flowed naturally, and because there was no dam, ships and fish could pass freely. Sichuan became a productive area in China, as it still is today. Today, scientists and visitors from all over the world come to look at this wonderful example of engineering. This work and the name of Li Bing live on.
