Greetings from Paris! Today we’re exploring some amazing treasures in one of the largest museums on Earth—the Louvre! Let’s go! Now, right behind me is the Winged Victory of Samothrace. It looks like she just flew down from the sky and landed on a ship. Her head and arms are missing, but you can imagine she’s raising her arms in joy after an ancient war. Look how the wind blows her dress! I can’t believe she’s made of stone. Amazing, isn’t it? Okay, I’d better move on. Next up is the one and only Mona Lisa. The painting is a lot smaller and is protected by glass. But from here I can get a good view to show you. When I look into her eyes, she seems to have a mind of her own! One moment she seems to be laughing at me, but then again I catch a sense of sadness in her smile. Perhaps that’s why she attracts so many visitors every day. And now, it’s time to get close to one of history’s greatest artists, Rembrandt. He painted this self-portrait about 400 years ago. Throughout his life, he made over 90 self-portraits. Was it his way of taking a selfie? Or was it simply cheaper to paint himself than to pay for a model? Well, it’s up to you. About 35,000 works are shown in the Louvre. They really reach out to us across the centuries as if time itself were nothing. I’ll say bye for now and hope you can all visit these works of art one day. By the way, if you enjoy my live show, follow me here to find out where I’m visiting next. 59.Which of the following pictures is Winged Victory of Samothrace? A. B. C. D. 60.What do the three works of art have in common? A.They have missing parts. B.They are open to imagination. C.They show a sense of happiness. D.They are connected to ancient stories. 61.Who is Zack? A.A guide who’s leading a group. B.A host who’s holding an online tour. C.An artist who’s giving a speech on art works. D.A teacher who’s having an art lesson. 第二段明确描述:“Her head and arms are missing, but you can imagine she’s raising her arms in joy”,该雕塑缺失了头部和手臂,与第一幅图吻合。 60.第二段说胜利女神“you can imagine she’s raising her arms in joy”;第三段说蒙娜丽莎“she seems to have a mind of her own”;第四段说伦勃朗自画像“Was it his way of taking a selfie? Or was it simply cheaper…it’s up to you”,三处都强调需要观众发挥想象力去理解。 61.开头“Hi, it’s Zack! Greetings from Paris!”和结尾“if you enjoy my live show, follow me here”明确表明这是一场线上直播导览。 C Some people often get sick just as their holiday starts. This is sometimes called “leisure sickness”. It might happen when your busy body finally relaxes. You may have heard about it online, but is there any real evidence (证据) to support it? Leisure sickness first appeared in a 2002 study by Dutch researchers. It refers to people who are seldom ill during weekdays but often get sick on weekends or holidays. The researchers surveyed 1,893 people and found about 3% had leisure sickness. The patients usually suffered from headaches, tiredness, colds and muscle pain. Symptoms (症状) were most common during the first week of their holiday. However, this research depended on people’s memory. The idea of leisure sickness was not clear either. For example, one person’s idea of “seldom” and “often” may be different from another’s. A study in 2014 looked into why people get headaches during holidays. The study asked 22 people to keep diaries of their stress levels and when they had headaches. From their diaries, scientists found that headaches often came the day after stress levels went down. For example, if someone felt relaxed on Monday, they might get a headache on Tuesday. This explains why people who feel stressed at work often have headaches on days off, like weekends. Although we don’t fully understand its causes, some theories (理论) suggest possible reasons. One of them shows that people often get sick after holiday travel because planes and airports are crowded with germs (细菌). Also, their bodies may not get used to the germs in a new place, so it’s easier to catch something there. Another theory is that being busy at work makes us less likely to pay attention to symptoms. When we relax, symptoms such as muscle pain or a headache may become more noticeable. So, we may notice sickness more. There is still much we do not understand about how or why leisure sickness might happen. But we know that staying active, getting enough sleep, and eating healthy, balanced food—even when you are busy—can help you avoid it. 62.When does “leisure sickness” usually happen according to the text? A.Only after long travel. B.On weekends or holidays. C.Before working days. D.During busy weekdays. 63.What did the 2014 study find about headaches? A.Headaches happen during work. B.None of the 22 people had headaches. C.Headaches came after stress reduced. D.Stress brings headaches right away. 64.What might cause leisure sickness according to the theories? A.Travel germs and being relaxed. B.Long sitting on weekdays. C.Eating junk food on holiday. D.Sleeping too much on holiday. 65.What’s the best title of the text? A.Do Germs Make Us Sick? B.Why Do We Get Sick on Holidays? C.How Can We Avoid Leisure Sickness? D.What Are the Symptoms of Leisure Sickness? 【答案】62.B 63.C 64.A 65.B 【导语】本文是一篇说明文,主要介绍了“休闲病”这一现象,通过2002年和2014年的研究分析了其可能的发生时间、原因及相关理论,并给出了避免建议。 【详解】62.第二段指出休闲病的定义:“It refers to people who are seldom ill during weekdays but often get sick on weekends or holidays.”,这直接说明休闲病通常发生在“weekends or holidays”。 63.第三段说明了2014年研究关于头痛的发现:“From their diaries, scientists found that headaches often came the day after stress levels went down.”以及“This explains why people who feel stressed at work often have headaches on days off”,这说明头痛发生在压力降低之后。 64.第四段和第五段提出了两种理论。第四段指出:“One of them shows that people often get sick after holiday travel because planes and airports are crowded with germs.”,第五段指出:“Another theory is that being busy at work makes us less likely to pay attention to symptoms. When we relax, symptoms...may become more noticeable.”,因此休闲病的原因包括旅行中的细菌和放松后对症状的注意。 65.全文围绕“休闲病”展开:第一段提出问题,第二段介绍定义和研究,第三段分析头痛与压力的关系,第四、五段探讨可能原因,最后给出建议。全文核心问题是解释“为什么人们在假期会生病”。B项“Why Do We Get Sick on Holidays?”准确概括了文章主题。 D Long ago, in ancient China, there was a story about the invention of silk. People believed that silk was first invented by Leizu, the wife of the Yellow Emperor. Leizu learned how to make cocoons (蚕茧) into soft and strong cloth. This magical cloth became known as “silk”, and it was so valuable that it was called “China’s Gold”. Following kings’orders, the Chinese kept the secret of making silk for centuries. But then, something amazing happened! During the Han Dynasty, the brave officer Zhang Qian traveled west as far as Central Asia and brought silk there. As years passed by, silk became so important that the trade road from Europe to China got its name—the Silk Road. The Silk Road became a busy highway for traders who carried things across deserts and mountains. From China, people sold silk and tea. In return, they received treasures such as spices (香料), gold and silver from the West. At the very beginning, it was mainly about trade; then people began to share ideas, technologies and cultures. For example, Chinese inventions like papermaking were spread to the West, while new ideas about math and science came to China. Most importantly, the Silk Road helped different cultures learn from each other. Art, music and even language were shared along this ancient road. In places like the Dunhuang Grottoes (敦煌石窟) in China, you can see how art pieces combined (融合) Eastern and Western styles into something distinctive. It cannot be seen anywhere else. The story of the Silk Road tells us how people from faraway lands could become friends through trade and shared ideas. Today, we remember the Silk Road as one of the greatest examples of cooperation and exchange in history. It shows us how important it is to learn about and respect each other’s traditions, and that different cultures can work together to create amazing things. 66.Who invented silk in ancient China? A.Leizu. B.Zhang Qian. C.The Yellow Emperor. 67.What was spread from China to the West according to paragraph 3? A.Silk and gold. B.Tea and papermaking. A.①→④→③→② B.①→③→④→② C.④→①→③→② 69.What does the underlined word “distinctive” mean in paragraph 4? A.Special. B.Public. C.Popular. 70.What does the story of the Silk Road mainly tell us? A.The change of world trade. B.The introduction of silk cloth. It cannot be seen anywhere else.”,说明融合东西方风格的艺术品独一无二、十分特别,因此distinctive意为“特别的、独特的”。 70.最后一段原文指出:“It shows us how important it is to learn about and respect each other’s traditions, and that different cultures can work together to create amazing things.”,这直接说明文章主旨是讲述跨文化交流与融合的重要性。 第二节 阅读表达(共5题;每题2分,共10分) 阅读下面短文,简略回答问题。 Seeing the Spirit of Horses The year 2026 is the Year of the Horse. The pictures of horses can be seen here and there. Let’s learn about some famous horses in history. Wuzhui (乌骓) Wuzhui was the horse of Xiang Yu, a warlord (将领) from the late Qin Dynasty (221—206 BC). The horse was mostly black but its feet were as white as snow. Wuzhui was famous for its strength. It stayed with Xiang Yu for five years, and they won many fights together. In the stories, Xiang Yu killed himself near the Wujiang River. The horse followed him and jumped into the river too. Dilu (的卢) Dilu was the horse of Liu Bei, the founder of the Shu Kingdom (蜀国) in the Three Kingdoms period (220—280). Dilu could run very fast, but sometimes it didn’t listen to its owner. So people thought it could be dangerous. But in the stories, the horse saved Liu’s life by jumping across the Tanxi River. It was about 10 meters wide! Chitu (赤兔) Chitu was the horse of Lyu Bu, a warlord from the Three Kingdoms period. “Tu” refers to “菟”. That means a tiger in Chinese culture. The name shows how brave the horse was. Lyu was a strong man. With Chitu, he became even stronger. There is an old saying, “Lyu Bu was among the best warriors and Chitu—his horse—was the best of battle horses (人中吕布,马中赤兔).” Horses are our great friends. In the past, these famous horses helped us in fights and made history. Now horses are still important in our lives. And they stand for courage and loyalty in Chinese culture. 71.What did the horse “Wuzhui” look like? (no more than 12 words) 72.Did the horse “Dilu” always listen to its owner? (no more than 3 words) 75.What do horses stand for in Chinese culture? B Hi, it’s Zack! C Some people often get sick just as their holiday starts. D Long ago, in ancient China, there was a story about the invention of silk.
