This time was much faster than the human world record of 57 minutes, set by Jacob Kiplimo in Lisbon last month. These robots were also competing for big rewards, including guaranteed orders worth over 1 million yuan (about $146,000). The prize money for the winner was 5,000 yuan (about $730). If you’ve ever dreamed of seeing your textbook pictures come alive, you will love the new trend called “textbook travel.” Many Chinese tourists are now taking their school textbooks to famous landmarks around the world, turning the pages into a fun, shared adventure.
It all started last November when Chinese travelers to Egypt began posting photos of their history textbooks. In the pictures, the book covers—printed with pyramids and the Sphinx (狮身人面像)—sat right next to the real ancient wonders.
Soon, others became more creative. They started hiding their books in small gaps (缝隙) between rocks for other travelers to find. This lighthearted trend has become very popular. The topic has received hundreds of millions of views on Xiaohongshu, showing how much people enjoy it.
The craze (狂热) quickly spread to Europe. In the UK, some students hid their English textbooks near Big Ben, the famous clock tower. When other visitors found these books, they often wrote messages inside, sharing wishes for their families’ health, world peace, and more.
Similar book “treasure hunts” have appeared at Italy’s Colosseum (斗兽场) and France’s Louvre Museum (卢浮宫). One student who left her English book at the Louvre said the experience meant a lot to her. “Knowledge that used to just sit in my classroom has now become something real and unforgettable,” she explained.
Back home in China, a similar trend has taken root in recent years. More young people are traveling with their textbooks to famous sites across the country. This special way of traveling helps them connect more deeply with their own culture and history—and sometimes even brings unexpected rewards.

On March 15, 2026, he said that he would live in Tianjin, China. This decision got a lot of attention and people see it as a warm example of friendship between China and the USA.
Evan first caught the world’s eye in 2022. As a pawnshop (典当行) owner in Minnesota, he received a valuable old photo album with over 30 real pictures. Although some people offered him a lot of money for the album and even threatened (恐吓) him online, he refused all of them without hesitation (犹豫). Evan’s love for China kept growing during his first visit in late 2024. His trip was supposed to be 76 days, but he stayed for 90 days. He visited over 40 cities, including Beijing, Nanjing, and Harbin. He took part in some meaningful activities and visited museums to learn more about Chinese history and culture.
In early 2025, he was invited to the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, where he spoke simple Chinese warmly. He said that the environment of Tianjin, which is full of warmth and unique charm (独特的魅力), along with its buildings, which have special styles, made him feel at home.

后文出现短语in such snowy days,前后相互呼应,heavy snow表示“大雪”。
