Passage 1
Giant pandas are among the most lovable animals alive today. 1 So why and how have pandas abandoned their taste for meat to pick up a vegetarian diet?
Pandas today don’t eat meat. However, they’ve kept much of their meat-eating adaptations from times past. Their digestive systems have not changed much from their meat-eating days. 2 Only about 17% of it is digested. To survive, pandas eat large amounts of bamboo while having a low-metabolic (新陈代谢的), lazy lifestyle to make up for the poor energy return.
The giant panda’s shift to a vegetarian diet is in line with the inactivation (失活) of a specific gene—Taslrl, which provides them with the ability to taste certain amino acids (氨基酸) abundant in meat. 3
Pandas have evolved (进化) to a great degree to cope with their relatively recent bamboo-eating lifestyle. Pandas must seize long and thin pieces of bamboo shoots. To help with this, they have developed a long “fake-thumb” (伪拇指). So giant pandas have six fingers in each paw which provides better support for them to seize objects such as bamboo in one paw quickly. 4 While other bears and many meat-eating animals have smooth tongues, pandas have evolved tiny projections on the surface of their tongues that serve to file down food. This is especially useful for pandas as they remove the outer cover of bamboo.
Time will tell if pandas will adapt and survive, go back to eating meat, or disappear in the wild. 5
A.They eat 12.5 kg of bamboo in a single day.
B.Bamboo is the healthier diet for captive (圈养的) pandas.
C.Its inactivation in pandas would lead to their dietary change.
D.The newborn panda is blind and covered with only a thin all-white coat.

F.Unlike their relatives, pandas don’t eat meal but survive on a diet of only bamboo.
G.Whatever the future holds, we get to share our planet with these adorable animals.

How to Choose a Nursing Home
When you need to find a nursing home for a loved one, it can be a challenging task. Here are some tips to help you choose the right one.
Consider the Facility’s Location and Features
Choose a nursing home that’s close to your home so you can visit often. When you visit, check if the place is clean and well-maintained. 41 Also, check the facility’s ratings. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services uses a five-star system, and higher ratings usually mean better care.
Assess Staffing Concerns
42 Ask about the staff-to-patient rate. If staff seem rushed, it might mean there are not enough people to care for the residents. High staff turnover rates can also indicate problems. Make sure the staff are well-trained and have the skills to handle older adults’ needs.
Seek High-Quality Care
Nursing homes should provide daily care, like helping with eating, cleanliness, and medication. They should also have individual care plans for each resident. Ask how often a doctor is available and how medical emergencies are handled. Good nursing homes show compassion and respect. 43
Consider Quality-of-Life Issues
A good nursing home should offer activities and social opportunities. Ask what kind of activities they have and if there are options for different abilities. Meal plans are also important. Check if the food is nutritious and if residents can choose when to eat. 44 Privacy and independence are key. Residents should be able to make some decisions about their daily lives.
Ensure Community and Family Engagement
A good nursing home should welcome family visits. Isolation can be harmful, so look for a place with flexible visitation policies. You can also ask about other ways to stay connected, like video calls. 45
Choosing the right nursing home takes time and effort, but by considering these factors, you can find a place that provides the care and support your loved one needs.

Passage 13
Living heritages are cultural elements that are considered to be an important part of the cultural heritage of our nation and that are still present and transmitted today. 61 It is an artistic practice of writing Chinese characters, often with a brush and ink on Xuan paper.
The evolution of Chinese calligraphy began alongside the earliest Chinese characters discovered to date — inscriptions on oracle bones (甲骨文), from the Shang Dynasty (c. 16th century — 11th century BC) in Anyang, Henan province.
Over time, calligraphy gradually took shape as a form of art rather than a mere means of record. Five major styles of script were born. They were running, cursive, official, seal and regular.
62 The type of brush, density of ink and texture of paper can all change the output. From brush inclination and direction to speed of writing, every twist and turn of the wrist is also calculated. Structure of individual characters and special layout as a whole determine its quality. Moreover, the emotions of the writer are directly reflected on calligraphy.
Calligraphy is a fine art. Lan Ting Xu is one of the most celebrated masterpieces. 63 Its elegance and expressive brushwork gave it both historical and cultural significance in Chinese literature.
Calligraphy is also within reach. Like the Spring Festival couplets that decorate doors of everyday folks, calligraphy has always been the sign of appreciation for the Chinese. Where there is Chinese language, there is calligraphy. 64
Chinese calligraphy is still highly valued today for its more than just writing. 65 It was written on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in2009. We strongly believe Chinese calligraphy will be passed from generation to generation.

Working without goals and targets in an organization would be similar to a situation where the captain of the ship loses his way in the sea. 87 Set targets for yourself and make sure they are realistic ones and achievable. 88
Avoid keeping masses of files and heaps of paper at your workstation. Throw what all you don’t need. Put important documents in folders. Keep the files in their respective drawers with labels on top of each file. It saves time which goes on unnecessary searching.Set deadlines.
Set deadlines for yourself and strive hard to complete tasks ahead of the deadlines. Do not wait for your superiors to ask you every time. The person who can best set the deadlines is you. 89 Assign responsibilities.
90 Don’t do everything on your own. There are other people as well. The roles and responsibilities must be assigned according to interest and specialization of employees to finish tasks within deadlines. A person who does not have knowledge about something needs more time than someone who knows the work well.
A.Be focused.
B.Stay organized.
C.Yes, you would be lost.

Passage 20
How to Keep Personal Art Journals
You might have heard that keeping a journal is a great way to record your thoughts and understand your emotions. Typical journaling involves only writing. 96 . And because there are so many ways to express yourself in an art journal, it’s a wonderful creative outlet for both beginners and more experienced creatives.
97 . It combines elements of writing, drawing, painting, collage (拼贴画), and even graffiti to express yourself. This includes your everyday life, as well as your hopes, dreams, and fears. A single page will often have both words and illustrations to offer a look at what’s going on inside your head.
Art journaling is a way to practice self-care. It encourages you to take a little time for yourself — even if it’s just for 15 minutes a day. When you look back at what you’ve written or drawn, you can gain valuable insight into the challenges in your life. The point of creating a visual journal is not to make every page a masterpiece. 98 .
Art journaling is completely customizable (可定制的) depending on your skills and interests. Many people choose to use mixed media and decorate their pages with drawing and painting materials. 99 . The most important thing when beginning your art journal, however, is selecting the right book.
There are many considerations when it comes to picking your journal book. Size is one. If you enjoy making large drawings, for instance, then a bigger book might be best. 100 . Since it’s a good chance you’ll be using mixed media, select a journal whose paper can handle both drawing and painting.
A.An art journal is a visual diary.
B.Besides, you become aware of your style.
C.Another characteristic to think about is the type of pages in the book.
D.This way, you can not only express yourself, but also influence others.
E.Others prefer sticking with a single medium that they’re comfortable with.
F.But for those who are more visually-minded, an art journal is a great alternative.
G.You simply need to enjoy the act of creating something without worrying how it looks.
Passage 21
We’ve all been there — dinner is over, but your stomach (or is it your mind?) is calling you back to the kitchen. Many of us experience the temptation of after-dinner cravings (渴望). 101 . But why do they happen, even if you’ve eaten well all day? Let’s unpack the science behind these urges and explore practical solutions to help reduce the likelihood of after-dinner cravings.Identifying triggers (诱因)
After-dinner cravings can stem from psychological needs to genuine hunger. 102 . Meanwhile, if your meals throughout the day lack sufficient protein or calories, your body might be signaling a real need for additional nutrients. It’s essential to distinguish between the two to address them effectively.
103
The size of your meals can significantly influence after-dinner cravings. Not getting enough calories throughout the day, particularly at dinner, can trigger hunger suffering overnight, as your body seeks to fuel itself. Conversely, overeating can lead to uncomfortable fullness and potentially disrupt your metabolism (新陈代谢) and sleep patterns. Finding the right balance is a must.Boosting protein and veggies
Protein boasts a high satiety (饱腹感) index thanks to its ability to trigger the release of appetite-regulating hormones (激素). Vegetables, too, work in promoting satiety. Their high fiber content slows down digestion, and their high water content adds volume to meals without adding significant calories. Include protein and vegetables in your meals. 104 .Engaging in after-dinner movement
105 . It’s not only good for digestion, but helps stabilize blood sugar levels, potentially reducing the sharp rises and drops that can trigger cravings. The act of moving your body can elevate levels of endorphins, hormones known to promote feelings of well-being and potentially reduce cravings.
A.Reshaping your habits
B.Eating properly-portioned meals
C.They can seemingly be at odds with our health goals
D.They’re great combinations to help you keep cravings at bay

Passage 23
How to Survive Overthinking
●Focus on the big picture.
111 While you might be able to learn something new by giving these things some quick consideration, it’s better to step back and look at the whole picture. If you’re crushing on (迷恋) someone, for example, you might think about their every comment or facial expression after you see them- but examining every interaction for telling details can keep you from seeing what’s really going on.
●Distract (分心) yourself when you’re overthinking.
Do something that you find fun and engaging. When your thoughts are running away from you, sometimes you just need to do something else for a while. 112 Some people enjoy coloring or doing puzzles, while others may enjoy going for a walk.
●Get your thoughts down on paper.
Try spending 10 minutes a day writing down your thoughts. 113 When you write, it helps you organize your thoughts, so they don’t feel so confused and overwhelming (压垮的) in your mind.
Writing can also help you get to the root of what’s going on.
●Talk out your thoughts with a friend.
Saying your thoughts out loud can help you process them. If you just can’t seem to move past your thoughts, try opening up to someone you really trust, like a close family member or a friend. Tell them what you’re dealing with and why you think you keep coming back to these thoughts. 114 They might just have some good advice that might put your mind at ease.
●Try to see problems as challenges.
Look for solutions instead of just replaying the obstacle. If you notice that you’re just thinking about every little detail of a decision you’re facing, try to reframe your thoughts. Focus on how you can solve the problem, or what you can learn from it. 115
A.Big problems seem less terrible when you break them down.
B.Journaling can be a really powerful way to calm overthinking.
C.When you're overthinking, you tend to get caught up in details.
D.When you’re finished, give them some space to share their opinions.
E.This simple shift can help you feel empowered instead of overwhelmed.
F.Anything will work, as long as it gets your mind off whatever is bothering you.
G.You might notice you tend to overthink when you’re anxious about a difficult situation.

Bad habits act as barriers that prevent a person from making any progress in life. For most of us, these habits are so deep-rooted that it becomes hard to even notice them. 126 .

Passage 27
Most of us spend a lot of time inside our own mind—worrying about the future and focusing on the parts of life that leave us dissatisfied. Although they are common, negative or unwanted thoughts can prevent you from enjoying experiences, distract you from focusing on what’s important, and drain your energy. 131 The good news is that with practice, you can replace negative thinking patterns with helpful thoughts. Try these four ways to manage your negative thoughts:
132 Our minds may convince us of something that isn’t really true. These misleading thoughts intensify negative thinking. If you can recognize them, you can learn to challenge them.
Take a break from negative thoughts. It is possible to learn how to separate from negative thoughts. 133 Then take a break from focusing on them and move on with your day.
Release judgment. We all judge ourselves and others, usually unconsciously. Constantly doing those leads to dissatisfaction. Be able to let go of judgment, and you will feel more relieved. Some ways to decrease judgmental thoughts include recognizing your own reaction, observing it, and then letting it go. Another helpful technique is to “positive judge.” 134
Focus on your strengths. 135 If you find yourself trapped with negativity, take a moment to smile and think about something you like about yourself.
A.They can also make you feel anxious and depressed.
B.The more you can focus on your strengths, the easier it will be to feel positive about yourself.
C.Recognize inaccurate thoughts.
D.Always give others positive comments.
E.When noticing you are negatively judging a person or yourself, observe positive qualities, too.
F.One way to do this is to allow yourself a certain amount of time with the thoughts.
G.Taking a break from negative thoughts is a little difficult.
Passage 28
According to a latest theory, people each have their own “happy weight”. 136 Fortunately, you would be able to maintain your “happy weight” with ease by enjoying a balanced lifestyle and feel great: you sleep well and your mood is generally stable. Your “happy weight” doesn’t require you to follow a crazy diet, remove your favorite foods or punish your body with endless exercise. It can be reached and maintained by adjusting yourself to your natural hunger and fullness cues, enjoying healthy foods 80% of the time and spoiling yourself 20% of the time and taking up exercise that brings you joy. 137
Throw away the scale. 138 Choose to no longer let the number on the scale define your progress, mood for the day or your self-worth.
139 If you find yourself constantly dieting, or feeling stressed about food, take some time to reflect on our relationship with food. You can work with a dietitian to support you to heal your relationship with food.
Start engaging in movement and exercise you enjoy. If you’ve always viewed exercise as punishment, it’s time to change your mindset and start exploring sports you actually enjoy. Try new activities, join new sporting groups, or sign up for online sports apps you’ve been wanting to try. 140
In summary, when you’re at your “happy weight”, you feel great, confident and present in life. You have a healthy relationship with food—but most of all, you no longer allow the number on the scale to decide your worth and happiness.
A.Always maintain a strict diet.
B.Work on your relationship with food.
C.You’ll regain the joy in moving your body.
D.Here are some tips to help find “happy weight”.
E.Then, you will achieve a so-called “happy weight”.
F.Your health is not defined by the exact number on the scale.
G.It can be described as the weight where an adult body functions best.
Passage 29
Ways to Respectfully Disagree
It’s easier to agree than disagree. 141 Unfortunately, many of us either shy away completely from disagreements or lose it when things don’t go our way. These tips can help keep disagreements constructive.
Use “I’ to communicate how you feel, what you think and what you want or need. 142 For example, telling your parents “You always remind me about my housework when you know I have much homework” has a very different tone from “I’m feeling pressured because I have a lot of homework tonight. Can I do those chores tomorrow?”
Listen to the other’s opinion. 143 That makes it more likely that he or she will do the same for you. When the other person is talking, try to stop yourself from thinking about why you disagree or what you’ll say next.
144 This is the important thing you can do to keep a conversation on track. Of course, it’s a huge challenge to stay calm when you feel angry about something, especially if their person you’re talking to gets heated.
145 If you’ve ever been on the receiving end of someone’s put-downs (贬损的话), you know how valuable using respectful language and behavior can be. So instead of saying what you might be thinking (That’s a stupid idea!), try saying “I don’t agree, and here is why.”
Respect goes beyond difficult conversations, of course. Being helpful and considerate towards family members, teachers or coaches in our everyday actions helps us establish a foundation for those times when we might disagree.
A.Stay calm.
B.Look into the other’s eyes.
C.Using ‘you’ statements can sound aggressive.
D.Avoid putting down the other person’s ideas and beliefs.
E.Then you can calmly present your case and why you disagree.
F.Being a good listener shows that you respect the other person.
G.But we can learn a lot from conversations where we don’t agree.

E.Researchers have found that the surface of the panda’s tongue is different.
F.Unlike their relatives, pandas don’t eat meal but survive on a diet of only bamboo.
G.Whatever the future holds, we get to share our planet with these adorable animals.

Passage 5
Because of its abstract nature, contemporary (当代的) art can be difficult for people to understand. When people don’t understand art, they start to reject it. You start hearing criticisms, like people saying that it’s a scam, or that these artists are cons that are just trying to make a dollar. Nothing could be further from the truth. Do you want to try to increase your appreciation of contemporary art? 21
Read between the lines
It’s kind of cliché (陈词滥调), but the question “What does it represent?” is not only true, but also vital to understand how contemporary artworks and what it has to offer. Especially in contemporary art, which focuses heavily on being a reflection of society, you should think of the world today and how it relates to the piece instead of just taking it at face value. 22 . It should increase your appreciation for what contemporary art has to offer.
Come humbly
When you’re attending a contemporary art exhibition, it’s counterproductive to come at it with the attitude of being overcritical. Instead of coming into the exhibit with the attitude that these people are misleading artists, you should instead be trying to be as humble (谦卑的) as possible, and experiencing the diverse perspectives that the art has to offer rather than critiquing the art itself. 23 you’re not going to be able to change your attitude about contemporary art. Want to appreciate contemporary art? Start from a place of humility
24
25 and the art that they create reflects that difference. If you don’t know the background of the artist, and you’re trying to get to a place where you can appreciate their work, you should learn a little bit about their history. It’s extremely common for there to be brochures at exhibits that will give you all of the information that you need to know about the art and the artist who created it. This brings a new dimension to experiencing contemporary art, and is a surefire way to increase your appreciation of it.
A.Contemporary has a lot features
B.Appreciate it from another aspect
C.If you come into the exhibit with a prideful attitude
D.The artist has a different perspective and worldview than you do
E.There is no right or wrong answer in contemporary art appreciation
F.You might find that the piece reflects some of the issues that are important to people today
G.Here are a few tips to make you truly appreciate everything that contemporary art has to offer
21.根据空前“Do you want to try to increase your appreciation of contemporary art?(你想要试着增加你的当代艺术的欣赏吗?)”
22.根据空前“Especially in contemporary art, which focuses heavily on being a reflection of society, you should think of the world today and how it relates to the piece instead of just taking it at face value.(尤其是在当代艺术中,它强调的是对社会的反映,你应该思考当今世界,以及它与作品之间的关系,而不是仅仅看表面。)”
23.根据空前“Instead of coming into the exhibit with the attitude that these people are misleading artists, you should instead be trying to be as humble (谦卑的) as possible, and experiencing the diverse perspectives that the art has to offer rather than critiquing the art itself.(与其带着那些这些人误导艺术家的态度参加展览,你应该试着尽可能地保持谦逊,体验艺术所提供的多样视角,而不是批评艺术本身。)”可知,空前提出尽可能谦逊地参加艺术展览,且根据空后“you’re not going to be able to change your attitude about contemporary art.(你将无法改变你对当代艺术的态度。)”
24.根据本段内容“This brings a new dimension to experiencing contemporary art, and is a surefire way to increase your appreciation of it. (这为体验当代艺术带来了一个新的维度,也是提高你对它的欣赏的一种必然的方式。)”可知,本段主要讲述艺术家对于艺术的理解与我们是不一样的,并鼓励我们尊重差异,从一个新的维度来欣赏当代艺术,故B项“从另一个角度来欣赏它”符合本段小标题,故选B项。
25.根据空后“and the art that they create reflects that difference.(并且他们创造的艺术也反映了那一差异。)”

For some people, the pressures of combining work and family leave little time for food preparation. Others regularly eat on their own and don’t want to bother cooking a full meal.Focus on nutrients

Passage 9
A.Some nursing homes have beautiful gardens.
B.However, good care is not just about activities and food.
C.The nursing home should have a large parking lot for visitors.
D.Check if the rooms are inviting or hospital-like.
E.A nursing home that values family involvement is usually a better choice.

43.上文“Good nursing homes show compassion and respect.(好的养老院表现出同情心和尊重)”指出好的养老院应具备的态度。F项“You can tell this by talking to the staff and seeing how they interact with the residents.(你可以通过与员工交谈并观察他们如何与居民互动来了解这一点)”说明如何判断养老院是否具备同情心和尊重,承接上文,符合逻辑。故选F。

Ways to Motivate Yourself to Go to the Gym
Got a New Year’s resolution to go to the gym more often? Being active has many benefits for heart health, sleep quality, brain function, and much more. 46 Here are a few tips to help you stick to your goals.Dress for a workout
In many ways, pulling on a sweatshirt or a pair of yoga pants is even more important than heading out the door to go to the gym. Research has suggested that our brains are easily influenced by “enclothed cognition,” a technical way of saying that dressing for the part can help fuel your ambition to complete a chosen task. 47 48
If you are looking to get active, please go to the gym and invest time in it. The downside of aimless visits is that you may skip them in the process toward a goal.

Art journaling is a way to practice self-care. It encourages you to take a little time for yourself — even if it’s just for 15 minutes a day.

根据上文“Everyone has some bad habits that they would like to break free from. They can endanger a person—both mentally and physically. Bad habits act as barriers that prevent a person from making any progress in life. For most of us, these habits are so deep-rooted that it becomes hard to even notice them.(每个人都有一些想要摆脱的坏习惯。它们可以危害一个人的精神和身体。坏习惯是阻碍一个人在生活中取得进步的障碍。对于我们大多数人来说,这些习惯是如此根深蒂固,以至于很难注意到它们)”可知,坏习惯会影响我们的身心又难以觉察,结合下文列举了一些改变坏习惯的方法,故G选项“然而,有一些建议可以帮助你摆脱坏习惯,采用健康的生活方式”符合语境,故选G。
127.根据上文“A lot of times, people who are suffering from bad habits like to deal with everything themselves.(很多时候,有坏习惯的人喜欢自己处理所有事情)”以及后文“Besides, there are a lot of professional doctors that can offer their support, too. For example, if you are suffering from mental problems, you can get help from ARC Recovery Center (康复中心).These centers can help people recover at a faster and better rate.(此外,也有很多专业的医生可以提供他们的支持。例如,如果你患有精神问题,你可以得到ARC康复中心的帮助。这些中心可以帮助人们以更快更好的速度恢复)”可知,前句说到我们时常会独自面对坏习惯,后文说到还有专业的医生可以提供帮助,可知本句要接的是对上文的转折,我们忘了可以向周围的朋友和家人寻求帮助,故E选项“他们经常忘记他们有朋友和家人可以给他们提供支持”符合语境,故选E。
128.根据后文“To get rid of a bad habit, replace it with something else. If you watch too much television, you can replace it with reading a book or exercising. It can also be a time to start something you’ve been planning to do for so long.(要改掉坏习惯,就要用别的东西代替它。如果你看太多电视,你可以用读书或锻炼来代替。这也可以是一个开始做一些你计划了很长时间的事情的时候)”可知,本段的主旨就是养成一个新的习惯。故B选项“养成新习惯”符合语境,故选B。
129.根据上文“It can also be a time to start something you’ve been planning to do for so long.(这也可以是一个开始做一些你计划了很长时间的事情的时候)”以及后文“or you can take a holiday that you have been desperately wanting.(或者你可以去度一个你渴望已久的假期)”可知,此空上文是你可以开启一件计划已久的事,下文是或者你可以去一趟非常向往的旅行,可知此空填的是其中的一种选择,即也许你可以开始一个被搁置的项目。
130.根据后文“Whatever the habit you are looking to get rid of, you should imagine how better your life would become when you solve it. Think of all the mistakes you have made, relationships that turned sideways, or all the opportunities you failed to seize just because of your bad habits. By setting goals for the future, you can inspire yourself and adopt a lifestyle that helps you achieve those goals.(无论你想改掉什么习惯,你都应该想象一下,当你改掉了这个习惯后,你的生活会变得多么美好。想想你犯过的所有错误,关系的变轨,或者因为你的坏习惯而错过的所有机会。通过为未来设定目标,你可以激励自己,并采取一种帮助你实现这些目标的生活方式)”可知,本段讲述了无论我们想改掉什么习惯,都应该想象习惯改变后生活会变得多么美好。通过为未来设定目标,我们可以激励自己,并采取一种能实现这些目标的生活方式。故C选项“想象一个没有坏习惯的未来”符合语境,故选C。
【答案】131.A 132.C 133.F 134.E 135.B
由前面“Although they are common, negative or unwanted thoughts can prevent you from enjoying experiences, distract you from focusing on what’ s important, and drain your energy.”(虽然这些想法很常见,但消极或不想要的想法会阻止你享受经历,分散你对重要事情的注意力,耗尽你的精力)可知该部分在讲述消极想法对我们造成的不好的影响,所以空处应该承接前文,内容上应与消极想法的不好的影响相关。
由此段结尾“If you can recognize them, you can learn to challenge them.”(如果你能认识到它们,你就能学会挑战它们。)
133.根据前文“Take a break from negative thoughts. It is possible to learn how to separate from negative thoughts. ”(从消极的想法中休息一下。学习如何从消极的想法中分离出来是可能的。)可知,本段主要讲要从消极思想里面脱离出来,由后文“Then take a break from focusing on them and move on with your day.”(然后从关注它们中休息一下,继续你的一天。)
134.由前面“Another helpful technique is to “positive judge.” ”(另一个有用的技巧是“积极判断”。)可知后面要对“positive judge”进行进一步的说明。选项E.“当你注意到自己在对他人进行负面的评价时,记得留意到他人好的方面”符合题意,故选F。
135.此题关键词为strength,根据空前“Focus on your strengths. ”(集中注意于你的长处)说明我们要关注自己的长处和优势,因此后面应该讲集中注意于长处的好处。选项B.“你越关注自己的优势,你就越容易对自己感到积极。”切题,故选B。
136.根据上文“According to a latest theory, people each have their own “happy weight”. (根据最新的理论,每个人都有自己的“快乐体重”)”可知,上文提出了“快乐体重”这个概念,由此推知,空处应对此概念进行解释。G项“It can be described as the weight where an adult body functions best.(它可以被描述为成年人身体机能最佳的体重)”符合题意,it指代上文的“happy weight”。故选G。
137.根据上文“It can be reached and maintained by adjusting yourself to your natural hunger and fullness cues, enjoying healthy foods 80% of the time and spoiling yourself 20% of the time and taking up exercise that brings you joy. (通过调整自己以适应自然的饥饿感和饱腹感,80%的时间享受健康食品,20%的时间放纵自己,并进行能带给你快乐的运动,可以达到并保持这种状态)”可知,通过锻炼和饮食可以达到“快乐体重”。结合下文提到的几个方法推知,空处内容承上启下,指出实现“快乐体重”是有方法的。D项“Here are some tips to help find “happy weight”.(以下是一些帮助找到“快乐体重”的方法)”符合题意。故选D。
F项“Your health is not defined by the exact number on the scale.(你的健康不是由体重表上的确切数字来定义的)”符合题意,scale是关键词。故选F。
根据下文“If you find yourself constantly dieting, or feeling stressed about food, take some time to reflect on our relationship with food. You can work with a dietitian to support you to heal your relationship with food.(如果你发现自己经常节食,或者对食物感到压力,花点时间反思一下我们与食物的关系。你可以与营养师合作,帮助你治愈与食物的关系)”可知,本段建议我们要考虑与食物之间的关系。B项“Work on your relationship with food.(改善你与食物的关系)”可以作为本段主旨句。故选B。
根据上文“If you’ve always viewed exercise as punishment, it’s time to change your mindset and start exploring sports you actually enjoy. Try new activities, join $学科网
