A.a; an B.a; / C./; an D./; a 【答案】C 【详解】句意:——多么冷的天气啊!——是的,但我们度过了一段不寻常的时光,因为我们可以看雪。 C。 2.—Mr Green still studies ________ he is over 70 years old. —Yes. It’s never too old to learn. A.or B.although C.so D.because 【答案】B 【详解】句意:——格林先生仍然学习,尽管他已经超过 70 岁了。 or或者;although尽管;so所以;because因为。根据“Mr Green still studies”与“he is over 70 years old”可知,前后句之间存在让步关系,表示“尽管”年纪大仍然学习,符合语境。故选B。 3.—Look there! Many people ________ to practice baduanjin in the park. —Yes. This not only helps people keep healthy but also helps pass down Chinese traditional culture. A.has learned B.learned C.are learning D.will learn 【答案】C 【详解】句意:——看那里! 可知,动作此时此刻正在发生,应用现在进行时,结构为“be + doing”;主语“Many people”是复数,be动词用are,动词learn的现在分词为learning。 4.—I’m going to work on the space station as an astronaut in the future. — Study hard, ________ you will achieve your dream. A.or B.and C.but D.so 【答案】B 【详解】句意:——我将来要去空间站当宇航员。 or否则;and和,那么;but但是;so所以。根据“Study hard”与“you will achieve your dream”可知,前后为顺承关系,努力就会实现梦想,符合“祈使句+and+陈述句”结构,表示“做某事,那么就会……”,因此用and。 5.—Could you please tell me why you always ________ your clothes to the community? —I hope they can go to the poor area where people need them. A.take off B.lay out C.give away D.deal with 【答案】C 【详解】句意:——你能告诉我为什么你总是把你的衣服捐赠给社区吗?——我希望它们能到达需要它们的贫困地区。 take off脱下;lay out展示;give away捐赠;deal with处理。根据答语“I hope they can go to the poor area where people need them.” 6.The teacher praised the student for being ________ about making a mistake in the exam. A.shy B.honest C.brave D.outgoing 【答案】B 【详解】句意:老师表扬了这名学生,因为他在考试中犯错后十分诚实。 根据“The teacher praised the student”及“about making a mistake”可知,学生承认错误是诚实的表现,因此受到表扬,honest符合语境。 7.Nowadays, Chinese ________ by more and more foreigners. I’m really proud of it. A.are spoken B.is spoken C.spoke D.has spoken 【答案】B 【详解】句意:现在,越来越多的外国人说汉语。 此处“Chinese”表示“汉语,中文”,与speak“说”是被动关系,根据“Nowadays”可知,用一般现在时的被动语态am/is/are+done,排除C和D;“Chinese”是第三人称单数,be动词用is。故选B。 8.I know the man ________ daughter is a student in our school. A.who B.which C.whose D.whom 【答案】C 【详解】句意:我认识那个女儿是我们学校学生的男人。 who谁;which哪一个;whose谁的;whom谁。 9.It ________ be Tony reading in the library. But a new study shows that light pollution is making birds wake up even earlier and sleep later. Brent Pease, a teacher at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, wanted to get his students more interested in birds. In 2023, he set up a microphone outside to play bird songs to his students inside the classroom. Excited by this success, Dr. Pease started using a special device called a Portable Universe Codec (PUC). This device is made by a group called Bird Weather. It records bird songs and uses artificial intelligence (AI) to identify the birds. The device also records time, location and weather information. Bird Weather collects information from PUCs in backyards worldwide. Dr. Pease and Neil Gilbert from Oklahoma State University used this data to study how light pollution affects birds. Light pollution is when artificial lights, like streetlights, make the night sky too bright. It affects about 23 percent of Earth. The researchers studied data on over 60 million bird calls from 583 daytime bird species. They compared the timing of the calls with light pollution levels from satellite images. They found that light pollution made birds start singing 18 minutes earlier in the morning and sing 32 minutes longer at night on average. Birds with bigger eyes, like American robins and northern cardinals, were more affected. Birds that nest in dark places, like tree holes, were less affected. The scientists say it’s worrying that birds’ natural habits are being disrupted. However, they say it’s too early to tell if losing sleep is actually harmful to the birds. 31.What did Brent Pease do in 2023? A.He collected data from PUCs worldwide. B.He set up a microphone to play bird songs for his students. C.He started studying light pollution with Neil Gilbert. D.He invented the Portable Universe Codec (PUC). 32.PUC can help researchers in many ways including ________. a. recording bird songs                     b. identifying the birds c. collecting weather information             d. preventing city’s light pollution A.abc B.acd C.abd D.bcd 33.How does the writer explain “light pollution” in Paragraph 4? A.By telling a story. B.By introducing its history. C.By giving examples and numbers. D.By comparing different opinions. 34.Which one shows the relationship between the degree of light pollution(x) and the change in birds’ singing(y)? A. B. C. D. 35.What’s the main purpose of the text? A.To call on students to protect birds. B.To encourage more researchers to explore the habits of birds. C.To introduce a new device for studying birds’ calls. D.To explain how light pollution affects birds’ habits. 文中提到“In 2023, he set up a microphone outside to play bird songs to his students inside the classroom.” 32.文中提到“It records bird songs and uses artificial intelligence (AI) to identify the birds. The device also records time, location and weather information.” 33.文中提到“Light pollution is when artificial lights, like streetlights, make the night sky too bright. It affects about 23 percent of Earth.” 34.文中提到“They found that light pollution made birds start singing 18 minutes earlier in the morning and sing 32 minutes longer at night on average.” D。 C Ally walks into the kitchen. She sees something on the floor. Ally looks closely. There are some ants (蚂蚁)! Lots of ants! “Why are there ants in the kitchen?” “Food? Yes,” says Ally. “There’s something sticky on the floor. It’s ice cream. The ants like sweet food. They’re walking in a line. Look! They’re eating the ice cream!” Ally says, “Ants, you can’t stay here in the kitchen! Go back to the garden!” But the ants don’t listen. How can she get the ants to go back outside? “Ants like sweet food. And jam is sweet. Let me put a line of jam on the floor. A line from the kitchen to the garden…Look! They like it!” Ally says. But soon there are more and more ants! Ally is worried. “Dad doesn’t want ants in the kitchen. I have to get them out of here!” “I can use water to move the ants back to the garden.” Ally thinks. She fills many cups with water and pours the water on the floor around the ants. But what happens? The ants swim happily in the water and jam. They love a sweet jam bath! “Yes. I need to move the water outside,” says Ally. Ally gets a squeegee (刮水刷) to pull the water toward the door gently. She doesn’t want to hurt the ants! Finally, she moves all the water—with the ants—outside to the garden! Ally’s dad enters the kitchen. “Hey, Ally, the floor looks a little wet,” Dad says. “There were ants, lots of them! I used water and the squeegee to move them into the garden,” says Ally. “Good job! I’m proud of you,” says Dad. “But the ants can still come back inside, Dad. Ants love jam and ice cream. Is there anything that they don’t like?” “Yes, there is!” Dad answers. “Ants don’t like vinegar (醋).” “Let’s clean the kitchen floor with vinegar and water then,” says Ally. After a few minutes, the kitchen smells like vinegar. Dad says, “No more ants in the house. Good work!” 36.What happens when Ally comes into the kitchen first? C.She wants to move all the ants into the garden in one go. D.She hopes to help the ants enjoy their sweet jam bath even more 39.What does Ally’s father think of her? A.He is proud and pleased with her. B.He feels she wasted too much jam and water. C.He believes she should ask for help next time. D.He thinks she made a big mess in the kitchen. 40.Which of the following can be a proper title? A.Dad Helps Ally a Lot. B.Ants Love Sweet Food. C.Ally Makes a Jam Bath. D.Ally Saves the Kitchen. 根据第1段的“Ally walks into the kitchen. She sees something on the floor. Ally looks closely. There are some ants (蚂蚁)! Lots of ants!” 37.根据第6段的“Ants like sweet food. And jam is sweet. Let me put a line of jam on the floor. A line from the kitchen to the garden…Look! They like it!”和第7段的“But soon there are more and more ants! Ally is worried.” 38.根据第13段的“Ally gets a squeegee (刮水刷) to pull the water toward the door gently. She doesn’t want to hurt the ants!” I’m proud of you,’ says Dad.” After “City Walk”, a new activity called “Color Walk” has become popular on the Internet this spring. Color Walk means walking to find and enjoy colors. The rules are simple: Before going out, choose a color to focus on (聚焦). Then walk through the streets just to find and take photos of everything in that color. A common walk is mostly for exercising. However, Color Walk pays more attention to feeling, discovering and recording something. It’s not just a common walk, but a way to see the city, nature and everyday life through colors. Its main idea is: Slow down, forget about worries, and warm people’s hearts with colors. Why is Color Walk so popular? Firstly, Color Walk fits the lifestyle of young people. It needs no good planning, costs nothing, and has no limits (限制) on time, places or people. So it can be started anytime and anywhere. Secondly, this activity is different from a common walk. Color Walk uses colors to help people find hidden beauty in familiar places. Besides, focusing on colors makes people relax. This is good for their health. Finally, Color Walk meets young people’s social needs. They can take beautiful photos of things in the same color and share these photos online. When they can’t solve a math problem quickly or remember new words right away, they feel upset and want to give up. 46 Over time, it may slowly affect both their confidence and interest in various subjects. A useful way to build patience is to practice focusing on one thing at a time. For example, when you sit down to do homework, turn off your phone and avoid looking at other books. Set a small and clear goal, like reading one chapter (章) or finishing five questions without stopping. Don’t rush. 47 It also helps to learn step by step. 48 It’s too much. Instead, start with ten words each day and review them the next morning. Small daily progress adds up. Remember, big achievements come from small, patient efforts. Another idea is to train your patience through hobbies. Drawing, writing, or even planting a small flower can help you learn to wait. 49 They also make you feel calm and happy. 50 When you feel impatient, say to yourself, “I can do this.” Every time you finish a task without rushing, reward yourself—maybe with a piece of chocolate, a short walk, or listening to a favorite song. Stay positive and keep trying every day. With practice, you will become a more patient and successful learner. A.This impatience can make learning stressful. B.Don’t forget to cheer yourself on along the way. C.These activities teach you that good things take time. D.Give yourself enough time to think slowly and carefully. E.If you are learning English, don’t try to memorize 50 words in one day. A“This impatience can make learning stressful.” D“Give yourself enough time to think slowly and carefully.” 48.根据后句“It’s too much.” E“If you are learning English, don’t try to memorize 50 words in one day.” C“These activities teach you that good things take time.” B“Don’t forget to cheer yourself on along the way.” F In a small village, there lived a famous old carpenter (木匠). People traveled from far and wide to buy his furniture (家具). One day, a young man came. The young man loved working with wood, but he hardly ever created furniture that was both strong and beautiful. He had tried making pieces on his own, but they often fell apart or looked messy. Hearing that the old carpenter was famous for his patience and perfect craftsmanship, the young man hoped to learn the skills from him. However, he was always hurrying to finish things. After a few days of learning, the young man thought, “I can make furniture faster.” The old carpenter noticed this and said, “I can teach you to make furniture quickly, but first, you need to do a simple job.” He then handed the young man a rough board and said, “Make this board smooth.” The young man thought it was easy at first. He sanded (用砂纸打磨) the board a few times and soon gave it back. The old carpenter felt the board and said, “It is not smooth enough. Try again.” A little impatient, the young man sanded harder. But the old carpenter shook his head once again. Feeling sad, the man started to think more. He wasn’t in a hurry anymore and sanded every part of the board carefully. Finally, the board was as smooth as a mirror. This time, the old carpenter smiled and said, “You have learned an important lesson: Success needs not only skill but also patience.” The young man understood that carpentry was not only about making things but also about shaping the mind. 51.Where did the old famous carpenter live? 52.Why did the young man come to learn from the old carpenter? 53.What did the young man think of making the board smooth at first? 54.How did the young man make the board as smooth as a mirror? 55.What important lesson did the young man learn? 51.In a small village. 52.Because he wanted to learn skills from the old carpenter who was famous for his patience and perfect craftsmanship. 53.Easy. 54.He wasn’t in a hurry anymore and sanded every part of the board carefully. 55.Success needs not only skill but also patience. 根据“In a small village, there lived a famous old carpenter (木匠).” 故填In a small village. 52.根据“One day, a young man came… Hearing that the old carpenter was famous for his patience and perfect craftsmanship, the young man hoped to learn the skills from him.” Because he wanted to learn skills from the old carpenter who was famous for his patience and perfect craftsmanship. 53.根据“The young man thought it was easy at first.” 54.根据“He wasn’t in a hurry anymore and sanded every part of the board carefully. This shows their lifestyles and helps them connect with others. Color Walk doesn’t require people to go far or spend too much. E Many students today find it hard to be patient.
