For over 10 years, Dradul has worked as a keeper of a wetland near Mapam Yumco Lake in Xizang, China.
By mid-morning on every normal working day, the 42-year-old man rides his motorbike around the lake, checking his fixed 10-kilometre route. In his bag, he has binoculars (双筒望远镜) to watch for birds, a notebook to record the kinds of wildlife and numbers that he sees, and garbage bags to collect litter. He also carries food, water, warm clothes, and simple tools in case he meets any animal in need.
This July, Dradul and some other keepers saved a wild yak (牦牛) stuck in the soil. They used ropes to pull it out carefully. “The process took about 20 minutes, but we stood at a distance afterward for half an hour, watching until it could walk and eat grass again,” he said.
Besides saving animals, the keepers also teach tourists not to litter or harm the wetland. “In the past, there used to be a lot of rubbish. When the wind blew, it spread everywhere, and there were fewer wild animals,” Dradul said. With the keepers’ check and reminders, the environment has improved a lot these years. Today, the wetland is home to lots of valuable plants and animals.
Yet the work is far from easy. Climate change is a major threat. Besides, some visitors still litter, bathe or even wash cars in the lake. With only 90 keepers for a huge area, Dradul hopes technology will help in the future.
To this end, he wishes for more young people to take up the work of protection. “This responsibility must be passed down. If we work hard together, the lake will never grow old,” Dradul said.
4. What is the main duty of Dradul as a keeper?
A. To lead tourist groups around the lake.
B. To protect the environment and wildlife.
C. To perform scientific research on the lake.
5. From the story in the third paragraph, what is Dradul like?
A. Duty-driven B. Open-minded C. Quick-thinking
6. What can we infer from Dradul’s words in the last paragraph?
A. Young people dislike wetland work.
B. Protecting the wetland needs lasting efforts.
C. The lake will never face any danger later.
7. What’s the main idea of the passage?
A. The introduction of Mapam Yumco Lake’s wildlife.
B. The daily efforts of a wetland keeper
C. The bad influence of climate change on wetlands.

Nowadays, “museum fever” sweeps across China. It is reported that during the National Day holiday in 2025, more than 120 million people visited museums and cultural places, and about 35% of them were teens. AI and digital tools have turned museums into interactive (互动式) playgrounds. Here, young visitors can touch history and feel new ideas.
At Xi’an Museum, a digital art show called West Expo Treasures welcomed 82,000 young visitors in just 7 days. By waving a hand, they could make ancient bells ring and see a golden dragon “fly” out of the exhibits into their hands. “It’s like time travel. Now I really understand why Tang Dynasty culture was so great,” said Li Jiawei, 15.
Learning through play is popular in many museums. At Shanghai Museum’s “Archaeology (考古) Palace”, 56,000 teens tried digging for fossils (化石) and used microscopes (显微镜) to look at old objects. Normally, each teen completed three VR fixing tasks. 92% said they learned more than in history class. Yu Ruoxuan, a French-Chinese teen, said, “These experiences make history feel real, which is different from the learning in books.”
In Hangzhou’s Huatan Village, college students helped build a VR museum. There, 28 local teens used AI to design 120 exhibits in Song Dynasty style. The museum got 3,000 visits in 5 days. “We used technology to share our village’s history with everyone!” said Chen Yu, a 16-year-old local boy.
This National Day showed that “museum fever” was a cultural awakening. Technology showed teens more than exhibits—it showed them a deep sense of cultural belonging and pride. Powered by these immersive (沉浸式) experiences, Chinese youth are now ready to carry their culture into the future.
8. How many teens visited museums and cultural places during the 2025 National Day holiday?
A. Over 120 million. B. Over 42 million. C. About 82,000.
9. How do teens learn history at the Shanghai Museum?

10. How do the teens’ roles change in paragraphs 2-4?
A. viewers→ listeners→ planners
B. listeners→ players→ leaders
C. visitors→ experiencers→ designers
11. Which is the best title for the passage?
A. “Museum Fever” Hits Youth in New Ways.
B. Teens Love AI Museum.
C. Tech Brings Pride to Teens.

第三节(共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分)
阅读下面的短文,根据短文内容回答问题。
Do you still remember who picked you up from school when your parents were busy? Who patiently taught you how to tie your shoes or told you stories until you fell asleep? Our grandparents are often there, giving us their care and love. But most of us usually take this for granted (理所当然) and even forget to say “thank you” to them.
Things began to change thanks to Marian McQuade, a caring housewife from West Virginia. In the 1970s, during her visits to local nursing homes, she was moved by the loneliness she saw. Marian believed grandparents were not just family members—they were “living libraries” because they had treasured stories, invaluable life lessons, and priceless wisdom. A simple but powerful idea came to her mind—creating a day to honor them.
After making up her mind, Marian started to take action. She wrote letters to community leaders and even to newspapers across the country. “Our grandparents pass down a world of lessons and an ocean of care, but we so often forget to stop and truly listen to them,” she wrote. Her moving words touched many. Finally, in 1978, President Jimmy Carter signed (签署) Grandparents Day into law. It is celebrated every year on the first Sunday after Labor Day.
Today, families across America spend time with the elderly and create meaningful moments to celebrate this day. Some make handmade cards or cook a favorite family meal together. Others take a walk in the park, listening to old stories, or create a “memory book” of family photos…What truly matters is the time and attention given to them—holding their hands, hearing their voices, learning from their lives.
Grandparents Day is more than a holiday; it is a gentle reminder. Every wrinkle (皱纹) tells a story; every gray hair holds wisdom. It reminds us that caring for the old is not just a duty, but a way to honor the lives they gave us.
36. Do most of us usually show thanks to our grandparents?
______________________________________________________
37. Why did Marian believe grandparents were “living libraries”?

【13题详解】
观察文章结构,该空需要填入一个祈使句作为小标题。根据本段内容中的“what you love doing”和“what you truly enjoy”可知,本段主要建议大家去寻找自己热爱的事物。选项A“Find your joy.”最能准确概括本段主旨。
【14题详解】
本段的小标题是“Educate yourself.”,前一句为“Never stop learning.”,此处应补充如何具体行动,选项E“Make it a point to feed your brain with new information regularly.”是对“不断学习”的具体行动建议,且能顺理成章地引出后文“Then you might find a subject that attracts you so much that it becomes a great hobby.”,逻辑连贯。
