二、阅读判断(5 题)
Last month, students from a vocational school in Changsha visited a local workshop that makes bamboo lamps. The workshop was not large, but every corner was clean and quiet. Mr. Luo, the owner, told the students that a good bamboo lamp might take more than twenty steps to finish. If one step was done carelessly, the whole product would lose its beauty and value. Mr. Luo also showed an old lamp that had been used for ten years.
At first, some students thought the work looked easy. They only needed to cut bamboo, make a frame and put in a light. However, when they tried to make a small lamp by themselves, they soon found it difficult. The bamboo pieces had to be cut to the same size. The holes had to be made in the right place. Even a small mistake could make the lamp stand unevenly. Several students had to start again because they measured too quickly.
Mr. Luo did not blame them. Instead, he showed them how to check each detail and asked them to work in pairs. One student measured, while the other recorded the numbers. After several tries, their lamps became much better. The students began to understand why Mr. Luo always said, “Quality comes from patience.” They also found that cooperation could reduce mistakes and save time.
Before leaving, the students wrote down what they had learned. Many of them said craftsmanship was not only for famous masters. It could also be shown in school work, skill training and future jobs. If they wanted to become qualified workers, they should keep learning, respect rules and be responsible for every task.
6. The students visited a bamboo lamp workshop in Changsha.
7. The students found making a bamboo lamp easy after trying it.
8. Mr. Luo believed that patience was important for product quality.
9. Students worked alone when they improved their lamps.
10. The passage mainly tells us that craftsmanship can be practised in study and work.
