根据 “…step into …new environment…”
根据“…having more influence…others…”可知,固定搭配have influence on sb. in、at不能与influence构成该搭配。
根据“You should spend some time…about your strong points.”可知,固定句型spend time (in) doing sth.
根据“If you build up confidence step by step,”可知,if 引导条件状语从句,遵循主将从现,从句用一般现在时,选are able to。will be able to 为一般将来时,be able to缺少主语对应的谓语形式,语法错误。
根据“All of us have known …kindness is the bridge to your own happiness.”
根据“…think …of others than of yourself.” activities。
根据“…group … including playing soccer and basketball.”
根据“Instead of spending time being alone, …out to dance and sing together with others.”
根据“If you follow what …above…”

by Lois Lenski

People in the city
Up and down they go.
People on the sidewalk,
People on the bus;
People passing, passing.
In back and front of us.
People on the subway
Underneath the ground;
People riding taxis
Round and round and round.
People with their hats on,
Going to the doors;
People with umbrellas
When it rains and pours.
People in tall buildings
And in stores below;
Riding elevators
Up and down they go.
People walking singly,
People in a crowd;
People saying nothing,
People talking loud.
People laughing, smiling,
Grumpy people too;
People who just hurry
And never look at you!
Sing a song of people
Who like to come and go;
Sing of city people
You see but never ▲ !
21. The poem is about a ________ city.
A. beautiful B. busy C. rainy D. small

23. According to the poem, the best word for the blank ▲ is ________.
A. borrow B. throw C. know D. allow
B 22. A 23. C
诗中运用了大量描写行动和速度的词汇,如“Walking fast”、“Up and down”、“passing, passing”、“riding taxis round and round”以及“people who just hurry”。
该词出现在诗句“People walking singly, / People in a crowd;”中。
诗歌的最后两句是“Sing of city people / You see but never ▲ !”。

London is a huge city. In its northern part sits a small garden cared for by Albert. Born in Italy, Albert grew up watching his grandfather plant tomatoes and learning from his grandfather. When he first moved to London, his gardening place was limited, so he chose to grow small plants outside his windows.
That all changed a year ago when he moved to a house with an outdoor space, even though it was small, he was thankful for this area and started to work, building a greenhouse (温室) where he planted beans, onions, chilies (辣椒) and so on, using recycled plastic bottles as planters (种植盆). Albert hung them on a wall, and everything else was grown in pots. Believe it or not, he was able to fit all of these in a shared balcony (阳台) that was only 16 by 26 feet.
Albert’s first crop (庄稼) this summer included 30 kinds of vegetables. He got over 75 pounds of tomatoes from just 6 plants and his 17 kinds of chilies produced 22 pounds of hot peppers. He has not been to the vegetable market since last March! He even started to give the vegetables away to friends and neighbors, even putting up a sign outside his house asking people to take them for free.
At present, his rooms seem to be filled with as many green plants as he has in the backyard! Many city gardeners became very interested in what he was doing. So he started a web page called Spicy Corner, where he shared his gardening tips. He got many city followers and hoped his viewers would also create small green gardens in the city. “City backyards and green areas help make the air cleaner and healthier for people. Gardening is really healthy, improves the joy of life, and helps green the planet.” Albert said.
28. What does the underlined word “That” in Paragraph 2 refer to?
A. The life of his family. B. The condition of his gardening.
C. The kinds of vegetables he grows. D. His growing-up experience.
29. What can we learn from Paragraph 3?
A. Albert had a good crop. B. Albert was worried about his crop.
C. Albert wanted to help local farmers. D. Albert was famous for his green food.
30. Why did Albert create Spicy Corner?
A. To make people interested in his online products.
B. To ask people to share their gardening experience.
C. To teach people to plant more kinds of vegetables.
D. To encourage people to grow plants in the city home.
31. Which words best describe Albert according to the passage?
A. Honest and patient. B. Humorous and clever.
C. Strict and hard-working. D. Creative and kind-hearted.
B 29. A 30. D 31. D

Six years after the last Chinese player appeared in the NBA, the world’s top basketball league (联盟) is likely to soon accept another Chinese talent. a . This rising star is 21-year-old Cui Yongxi, who announced (官宣) the signing of a two-way contract (合同) with the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets on Sept 20th.
With his two-way contract confirmed (确认), Cui has chances to play in up to (计达) 50 regular-season games (常规赛) in the NBA, though he is likely to spend much of his time in the Brooklyn Nets development league, the NBA’s official minor league that prepares players for the NBA. “I will fight from there for a chance to get a call-up to the NBA,” said Cui in an online interview with Chinese media. b . Standing at 1.99 meters tall, Cui is good at shooting and playing defense (防守). He joined the CBA with Guangzhou Long Lions in 2021 and won the CBA’s Rookie of the Year award for the 2022-23 season. But his dreams don’t end up with being a local league sensation
c . Instead of giving up, he chose to stay in the US and later got the chance to represent (代表) the NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers in the Summer League. During his 21-minute appearance on the count, he showed impressive (令人钦佩的) teamwork skills, getting nine points for the team and finally won him the offer from the Nets.
d . Although facing fierce (猛烈的) competition in the NBA, Cui doesn’t regret his choice because he knows that his efforts (努力) can be helpful for the future of Chinese basketball. “I expect that there will be more young players of my age in China trying to play at the next level (水平) abroad,” Cui told China Daily, “This is the only way to raise the whole level of the national team.”
32. What’s the purpose of writing Paragraph 1?
A. To introduce Cui Yongxi, the talented player.
B. To introduce the world’s top basketball league.
C. To show how Cui’s two-way contract was signed.
D. To lead into the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets.
33. What finally won Cui the offer from Nets?
A. His choice to stay in the US. B. His excellent performance.
C. His appearance on the court. D. His love for Chinese people.
34. The missing part “This summer, Cui took part in the 2024 NBA Draft (选拔) but finished it chosen.” should be in ________.
A. a B. b C. c D. d
35. What can we infer from the passage?
A. Cui, 1.99 meters tall, is good at shooting and playing defense.
B. Cui’s dream is bigger than just being a local league sensation.
C. Cui has played in up to 50 regular-season games in the NBA.
D. Cui thinks joining the CBA is the only way to improve the level of the national team.
A 33. B 34. C 35. B
第一段开篇提到NBA可能再次接纳中国天才,随即引出主角:“This rising star is 21-year-old Cui Yongxi...”,并宣布了他签约篮网队的消息。
第三段末尾明确指出:“...he showed impressive teamwork skills, getting nine points for the team and finally won him the offer from the Nets.”,说明是他在夏季联赛中令人钦佩的表现(包括团队技巧和得分)最终为他赢得了篮网队的offer。
句子“This summer, Cui took part in the 2024 NBA Draft but finished it unchosen.”(今年夏天,崔永熙参加了2024年NBA选秀但未被选中)描述了一个挫折或背景事件。 因为c处后面的句子是“Instead of giving up, he chose to stay in the US...”(他没有放弃,而是选择留在美国……)。“Instead of giving up”(没有放弃)暗示了前文提到了某种失败或挫折(即选秀落选),逻辑上紧密相连。
【35题详解】
A项是文中直接陈述的事实(Standing at 1.99 meters tall, Cui is good at shooting and playing defense),不属于推断;C项错误,文中说“has chances to play in up to 50...”,是他有机会,而非已经打了;D项错误,文中最后一段说“This is the only way...”指的是去国外高水平联赛打球,而不是加入CBA;B项正确,文中第二段提到“But his dreams don’t end up with being a local league sensation”,说明他的梦想不仅仅是成为国内联赛的明星,而是有更大的追求(进军NBA,提升国家队水平等),这是一个合理的推断。

①Do you think you are an optimist Do you usually expect that everything is going well or do you usually think about the trouble and difficulties ahead?
②You may think whether you are an optimist or not depends on things around you. However, recent studies have shown that optimism is 50% influenced by our genes (基因), 40% influenced by ourselves and 10% influenced by the environment around us. This is really good news, because it means we can work on the 40% to increase our levels of optimism. Then what can we do to achieve it?
③Studies have shown that taking part in interesting activities like singing, hanging out with friends, cooking with parents, will give off dopamine (多巴胺). You will feel happier and more active. At the same time, we can do more sports, because sports can also bring dopamine and keep us happy.
④On the other hand, we should do something to avoid bad feelings. Researchers also believe that bad feelings can break the immune system (免疫系统), which will make us feel uncomfortable and unhappy. For example, stress will cause the rise of blood pressure and blood sugar levels. But there are many ways that can help you reduce(减少) your stress. For example, you can take a deep breath. According to a study by the University of Kansas, smiling and taking a deep breath can help reduce your heart rate (心率) and lower your blood pressure when you are in stressful situations. That is to say, it reduces your stress.
⑤Do you still usually think about the trouble and difficulties ahead? Now you must have known what to do with it.
36. How does the writer lead into the topic?
A. By making a comparison. B. By raising questions.
C. By making an introduction. D. By giving examples
37. Which picture can correctly show the three influencing reasons of optimism?
a: the environment around us b: ourselves c: our genes

38. What is the best title of this passage?
A. The Importance of Being an Optimist.
B. Things Influencing Levels of Optimism.

Unlike other girls who like spring best, my favorite time of the year is autumn. In autumn, I am more likely to calm down and focus on myself and life.
The other day, when I was caught in the heavy traffic on my way to work, worried and upset, a side road covered with fallen leaves caught my eyes. I wondered whether the road could lead me out of the traffic jam. Soon I decided to get off the bus and began my “adventure (冒险)” alone. Different from the noisy street, there were no cars or people, only a light smell of flowers and several leaves dancing like butterflies in the autumn breeze. They were like a gentle band touching my heart and made me calm. I kept walking forward at a brisk pace (轻快的步伐) for about 10 minutes until I arrived at the end of the road. What a lovely flower store! I was so surprised that I bought some as the reward of the successful “adventure”.
Looking at the flowers in the vase, I was deep in thought in my office. Roads are like life in many ways. We may meet bumps, obstacles (障碍) and blind curves in life. But adventures on a side road can lead us to somewhere unexpected but wonderful. The roads tell the story of people and history. The roads of your life are no different. Although sometimes your life may be uncertain and winding, trust in yourself and you’ll arrive at your destination (目的地). Whatever your destination is, remember this: ___________.
45. Does the writer like autumn best?
_____________________________________________
46. Why did the writer decide to take the side road?
_____________________________________________
47. How did the writer’s feelings change in the “adventure”?
_____________________________________________
48. Please complete the passage according to your understanding. (About 30 words)
_____________________________________________
Yes./Yes, she does.
46.
Because she was caught in heavy traffic and wondered if the road could lead her out.
47.
From worried and upset to calm, then surprised.
48.
Life is like a road. Although it may be winding, trust in yourself. Sometimes a different path leads to wonderful surprises. Keep moving forward bravely, and you will finally reach your destination successfully.(答案不唯一)
根据文章第1段“my favorite time of the year is autumn”可知作者最喜欢秋天。故填Yes./Yes, she does.
根据文章第2段“I wondered whether the road could lead me out of the traffic jam.” Because she was caught in heavy traffic and wondered if the road could lead her out.
根据文章第2段“worried and upset”,“made me calm”和“so surprised”可知作者情绪从焦虑变为平静和惊喜。故填From worried and upset to calm, then surprised.
Life is like a road. Although it may be winding, trust in yourself. Sometimes a different path leads to wonderful surprises. Keep moving forward bravely, and you will finally reach your destination successfully.
49. Teenagers aren’t expected to stay out too late for their ________ (safe).
safety

50. I feel very ________ (pride) to be a part of the team.
51. All the students sat in their seats, with their math teacher ________ (sit) in the front.
sitting
52. What will happen if she ________ (not invite)?
isn’t invited
主语she搭配is,否定形式isn’t invited。故填isn’t invited。
53. The rest of the money ________ (steal) just now.
was stolen
The rest of the money与动词steal是被动关系,且时间状语just now表示过去的时间,因此需用一般过去时的被动语态was stolen,money为不可数名词,be动词用was,故填was stolen。
54. Some teenagers have difficulty ________ (express) themselves.
expressing

55. I think it is Wang Ke’s toy truck.
________ toy truck do you think ________ is?
Whose ②.
it
故填Whose;it。
56. He must be interviewed by the reporter now.
He ________ ________ interviewed by the reporter now.
can’t ②.
be
原句“He must be interviewed...” must的否定推测应使用can’t。
57. My mother succeeded in arriving there on such a snowy day.
My mother ________ ________ arrive there on such a snowy day.
managed ②.
to
succeed in doing sth.相当于manage to do sth.,意为“成功做某事”。 故填managed;to。
________ ________, people all over the world enjoy drinking tea.
Without##No ②.
doubt
59. what, is, from, wine, I, wonder, made (连词成句)
_______________________________.
I wonder what wine is made from
I“我”,句首首字母大写,主句的主语;wonder“想知道”,主句的谓语动词;what wine is made from为宾语从句,作wonder的宾语。 I wonder what wine is made from“我想知道这种酒是由什么制成的”。
Not many years ago, there was a world without smartphones. Yes, dear readers, there was a time with no iPhones or Androids. It was a simpler time—a time of face-to-face conversations, physical maps and various entertainment activities. Let’s hop into (跳进) a time machine and take a quick trip back to that pre-smart phone age.
Welcome to the first stop! Oh, we are beside a new mailbox. Have you ever put your letter into a real mailbox? Do you know how people communicate with each other? In the past, most people wrote letters with pens and paper. With the development of telephones, people began to dial numbers on a physical keypad and wait for the other person to answer.
Next, let’s talk about navigation. Sometimes, people felt a sense of achievement when they spread out a large physical map and used their compass to find their way. But when they got lost without maps or compasses, they would hide their pride and ask a stranger how to get to the places they wanted to go. It was an adventure itself.
Entertainment was very different, too. There were no smartphones or Internet, and people were more likely to live a “true” life. In their free time, they read books, made some handicrafts and played board games. When the weather was nice, people would choose to spend time outdoors with friends and family, like playing football and climbing mountains. All the entertainments not only met their spiritual needs, but also kept them away from illness.
In conclusion, life before smartphones was different but not necessarily worse. It was a time of simplicity (简单), patience and being present in the moment. And who knows? Maybe one day, we’ll be looking back on the days before AI came into everyday life. Until then, let’s enjoy the journey that has brought us to where we are today.

根据第三段中的“Sometimes, people felt a sense of achievement when they spread out a large physical map and used their compass to find their way.”

As a traditional and meaningful board game, Weiqi was invented in China more than 2,500 years ago and it is still played until today.
The playing pieces are called stones. One player uses the white stones and the other, black. The players take turns to play the stones on the game board. As we know, the board surface has 361 cross points. The stones are placed on them.
Weiqi is also called Go in the world. Learning it can not only improve people’s logical thinking ability, but it can also develop their calm character (性格). That’s why it is more and more popular with modern people.
In the Sui and Tang Dynasties, Weiqi traveled to Japan, and then to Europe in the 19th century. Now it has grown into an international competition event. So far, people from over 40 countries have played it. Among them, players from China, Japan and South Korea have the biggest level of Weiqi.
On February 19, Chinese-English Dictionary of Weiqi Term (术语) came out in Beijing. It’s the first professional dictionary about Weiqi in China. As a symbol of Chinese culture, Weiqi has its special language. It also has its own way of thinking and the method of communicating.
